9th Dawn RPG for Android
A bit vague but not bad so far. Alright now that I have wasted 10 hours I feel slightly cheated. Not bad but definitely not that great. I have spent $3 far better.
Wow! This game is nothing short of amazing! It reminds me of an MMORPG that I played over 10yrs ago called "Dawn of Daria" in 2007. It shut down and I'm curious if you guys are the same developers or inspired by it? :)
A fantastic gem that I just discovered. People compare it to a 2D Skyrim, which seems pretty close to me. For the next iteration they could maybe include crafting and farming, just so that the game is more immersive. I highly recommend this game to anyone.
This game is the best ! I played more rpg games for android and some of them were hight quality , but this game is the best ^^ . I hope You can make another gane like this ! ^^ good job ! Pls make an update :)
This attempt at recapturing the charm of old-school Ultima shows potential at first, but soon falls flat on its face. Exploration is suppossed to be the main focus, but exploring the world isn't rewarding. The interface for combat is stunningly bad, to the point that any enemy that's not a complete pushover is an exercise in frustration. Meanwhile, loot is randomized and class-restricted, meaning 70-90% of what you find is useless except to sell for gold. So the game soon becomes a slog, and the lack of basic player conveniences like fast travel doesn't help. The last straw is the dungeons; overlong, confusing, and packed with absurdly hard foes, they soon try the patience of even the most obsessive rpg fan. At least the developer avoided ads and pay-to-win shenanigans. Unfortunately, that noble decision doesn't make the game fun.
To resume: this is a huge empty world where you do fetch quests. It starts alright but soon enough, you end up walking 15-20min to get to the quest objective with 2-3 monster on the way. And this for every quests. The games is really short ~3h and completely unbalanced. The mage one shot every monter of the game, can summon an infinite number of invocations and this cost next to no mana. Lastly, the last dungeon begin with a stairway which trigger a load screen and a save. At the end of the load screen you find yourself swarmed by monsters and die instantly. You can only load the last save. I call this a crappy game but perhaps I missed something?
This game was awesome but it is really choppy and slow on an LG G4 running Android 6.0. It's really choppy/laggy as you walk around or fight enemies. I wanted this to play before 9th dawn 2, but I won't buy 2 it if it runs like this.
The game is great but needs alot of work. Feels very unfinished, and I have seen no info posted on the fixed remake, and no info of this on steam as well. Dropping rating from 4 to 2 until communication to players of this update. Last info posted was over 6 months ago.
Definitely a game worthy of the stars. Especially for the 2.99 pricetag. I play it on my LG Gpad 7.0. works great. Pros: Beautiful Music, easy to learn, and plays very well. 2D Oblivion-ish. Cons: Unlike part 2, enemies see you through walls and charge you from outside the screen. Almost non-existent story. Hard to follow quests.
Really good game. Well worth the money. Developers seemed to have abandoned and the sequel for mobile. DO NOT buy part 2. Not even close to done. Would have given this one 5 stars and will do so when developers restore my faith in them.
This game seems to lack polish. It has a large overworld and the combet works well. However, it has the following drawbacks: 1) few quests, 2) no guide markers for quest objectives, 3) shops don't carry equipment worth buying, 4) some dungeon portals are traps that instakill, and 5) some enemies have attacks that instakill as well. If the game improved its usability and increased content, it could be more fun to play.
I really like this game and decided to buy it after trying the free version. The reason I've only gave four stars is that there are a few minor things that could be added to boost it to 5. It would be really helpfull if the map had a zoom function and a waypoint/marker system. A companion would be cool like a dog or other animals? Finally what would make this game amazing and 5 stars would be the ability to create a complete custom class like an archer who can us heavy armor or knight that can summon etc, id even pay a reasonable to amount to add a well though dlc like that haha I hope you consider these ideas as id love to see what you can do with them :)
This game has everything you could ask for. Loot, story, open world, challenging. E.t.c
Massive, open-ended, questing, monster-slaying, trailblazing, levelling, explorable, well-drawn, role-playing FUN! The world is so huge and the game so fully realised it's easy to imagine you're sat back at your Amiga or Atari ST playing one of the awesome RPGs of yesteryear, only with slick, modern responsive controls and a lightning-fast load speed. Recommended for fans of Gurk I, II & III or anything by the Trese Brothers.
Make no mistake, the developers have really outdone themselves with this gem, and you'd be a fool to pass this up if you're a fan of any rpg. You'll find yourself dropped into an artistically woven world of challenges, rewards, out-of-context humor, and adventure. The separate classes are well balanced to create a different experience every time you replay it.
Not much fun when the directional control suddenly stops every time you're trying to walk somewhere. It just snaps back to the middle and you stop moving. Can't even find the guy in town who was "showing me around". Waste of money.
I have changed my review from 5 stars to 2 stars because I have quit the game due to the fact that barrels and chests are often so crowded together that they are insanely difficult to check individually. It is game breaking, I had great trouble with Rena's key due to it, but now that I've moved on and it's just happening again with the stone snake head, I'm done. Very disappointed.
"Coming later in 2015: 9th Dawn Remake and 9th Dawn II are still in development and we are hoping for a December release!" ... Apart from being abandoned, the completed parts are a great game.
Fun game but it keeps crashing. Trash..
I downloaded this when it first came out and played a lot, just downloaded again. I highly recommend this game, I've never had a single bug or issue plays great.
Takes me back to the days of Ultima, Daggerfall and Arcanum! This kind of open-world RPG is what has been lacking and is exactly the kind of game I generally enjoy playing. Would love to see more! Well worth the affordable price. Just wish I could see item stats, only complaint. Easy game to jump into!
I don't see why it doesn't sell a lot, it's one of the best if not the best retro rpgs out there. The music the graphics the gameplay are just bang on. Definitely worth a try.
This is one of the best games I've played on my tablet. It's like a 2d elder scrolls. Great game.
Id give it more stars but its buggy u cant complete half the quest
The sound and music just randomly stop...like the game but this is very annoying

I love this game. So. Much.
best rpg on the play store!
Seriously!!!
This game is amazingly fun and is one of the best mobile rpgs ive ever played
Excellent game. Recent update has game icon with a white instead of transparent background.
Great game but no more updates.. It somehow feels unfinished at times.. Where's the remake that was promised?
I don't even know where to start, I have been playing this for about two months and I am lost which is a good thing. Map is huge and there are so many different situations I have found myself in. Buy this game if u like skyrim.
Got this in an Indie Gala Bundle forever ago, but the devs never bothered to update it there, so it just crashes immediately upon opening in android L.
Great game and I love the exploration! The only problem is that sometimes the quest locations are somewhat vague, and you don't know which to do in what order. Other than that, excellent!
My problem with this game is that it isnt finished; I grew tired of all the interactive objects that had empty dialog boxes or simpy did nothing. During one interaction with a quest NPC, my only dialog choice was evidently a note from one dev to another. Some unique items have no use, shops are pointless as they sell nothing of use that you dont pick up in spades during play. The map is almost useless and there isnt a minimap whilst in dungeons. All in all this game suffers from being unfinished!

A very well done piece that indeed make me lost hours on the phone. As well as battery life duh. Its like a recap of some old school RPG game where..,, YOU DONT FIND IT ANY BETTER THAN THIS! welll, i'm a retro type gamer.. and this is a really worthy game. i turn on my phone i play till its flat. Imagine the amount of fun time it gives. the traditional feel to it is also awesome. where the character FLIPS when u move it in another direction. Great job and hope the developers keep updating. UPDATE~! 12-3-2015 There are little games out there that does way more beautiful graphics that this. BUT ( There's always a but ) Non was as this immersive and beautifully wholesome. I actually Downloaded it on my tablet and i got to see more things happening at one. The battle system is awesome as well. Even with just arrows , it is challenging and fulfilling. Rather than just hack and slash, the items provided and spells are just so entertaining. Sometimes i find myself taking a stick and wacking all the monsters away. They do swarm you pretty quickly tough, its an RPG anyway and couldn't think of anything better. The simple style and aesthetics is the catch. JUST DOWNLOAD AND PLAY~!
Fabulous game, not because of graphics, but because of depth. I finished the game and would like to feel more resolve (like villages being better off, happy messages from people who were in distress before, etc) Now that everything is done the game feels empty like all I did didn't really change anything, which really tears down how alive the game felt during play. I hope part 2 fixes this, and you can guarantee I'll be all over it when it's out. What you have is awesome but don't stop here!

Totally awesome game! Despite two classes that cannot heal (warrior and ranger) are total garbage, the game offers two other ones who can, and they totally rock! Mana regen is awesome, and killing monsters is so fun! Game controls are great! Joysticks are positioned exactly where one would expect them to be! Reverse aiming for spells is a bit confusing at first. "Fog of war" is so nostalgic and reminds me of Nox! TLDR: 5/5 stars. Awesome game, much better than the second part.
