Catan Universe

I love Catan, and the app is a great way to play it any time you want. The new app still has a couple of bugs, but the support team responds real fast and I'm sure most bugs will be fixed shortly. Tip: Don't enter an incorrect password three times; your account will get blocked for an hour.

Played catan with the other app for years it was simple and worked. This one crashes every game im always getting knocked off. Randomly I can't place tokens and or it makes me place it In the wrong place. I would rather simple and working to fancy and not.

Great game, but more thought required in terms of usability. Some glitches in not being able to place roads and waiting for others to say no to a trade that they couldn't do anyway.

It's a bit buggy. Kicks me out of games without warning. Very frustrating. Especially when you're in the middle of a good match. Hopefully it will be fixed sooner than later. Wish there was a way to "recover" the match.

Longest road is messed up. It counts parts that umm how do I explain this.. That connect to the road yes but stick out and shouldn't be counted. Otherwise still a fun game but fix that bug pls

I was so excited to play this. I love the board game version and was looking forward to wasting hours on this. I finished the "arrivals in catan" (which I think is a fine idea by the way) but it still won't let me play any games. If I could actually play it would get a much better rating.

it glitches from time to time and you have to exit the game to fix it which decreases your elon points. but all good other than that

Game became unresponsive twice in two different rounds. -I'm on Nexus 6p and other player on iPhone 6+ -game became unresponsive when AI player rolled robber (7) -game became unresponsive when human, on iPhone, rolled robber (7) Please fix. Catan is life and these errors ruin ones day ????

Love the game but there's always long pauses or glitches and nothing happens for ages. Can't leave the game or your penalised for it but you literally do nothing whilst it's frozen or loading for 5 minutes. Frustrating!

If you play catan you will love this game. This game is really good and will be great as soon as they fix the bugs causing games to crash and people to disconnect. They also need to make it easier to connect with friends first then the random other players. Currently you have to time your search together. I look forward to the updates and will keep playing until then and after.

Very good so far. The. Controls take some getting used to. It's nice to have a Fagan game I can play online for free!

I quickly encountered three separate bugs which made game play impossible. This is a beautiful app with too many technical problems. I reported the bug in their forums. Hopeful they'll fix them.

Couldn't play the game. They wanted 50 different things before you could even play a game. You have to play tutorial if you want to play a game against the computer or you have to buy the game....ultimately I just uninstalled it.

I love this game. I never saw the real board game, which annoys me. I'd have adored it before the age of PCs. It's sort of a mix of Risk and Go elements, and can be very complex if you go for add ons. I adore Cities & Knights with the New Shores scenario. If you play the tutorials and build up some xp on the basic game, you get a couple of scrolls to allow full access to 2 variants for 24 hours. 48 hours was plenty for me to decide to pay the one-off cost to open it all. One or two minor glitches, and the UI could use improvement, but nothing that prevents play.

The game crashes pretty frequently after someone discards cards post robber. Decent graphics but no point if you are not able to finish the game most of the times.

I like catan and like this game. Not 5 star review because the game is buggy at times but it's new so I'm okay with it. Seems like it's only getting better.

The most broken smartphone game out there, even just starting the game had huge problems on the newest device. Amazing game, but broken app

Big fan of catan but on finishing 'Arrival on Catan' I was still unable to play a regular game. Didn't take me long to find quite a few people with the same issue, and despite being reported several months back, it's still an issue. Hopefully it'll be sorted out soon

5-star game when it's working... 1-star when it pauses forever on you when somebody passes the dice and everybody else is still playing. Then everybody is waiting on you, because you don't know what's happening, and you have to close out of the app, and half the time it just ends your game, and your "karma" goes down because you left the game early... Then it happens so often you feel the need to write a terrible review. Also... fix the darned "Commercial Harbor" bug on C & K already. People are calling me a shady jerk because I can't give them a commodity when they know I have one. UPDATE: Downgraded to a 2-star review because of the timer. First, it doesn't show you how much time you have left (at least not clearly). Second, and worst, is that your timer continues while you wait on other players to respond to your trade offers. I just got kicked out of a game because other players would take forever to respond. I know (hope) this will be a great app someday, but right now it's a highly aggravating and buggy app... Rushed to market?

I know there's been an update so I'm hoping the freezing during a game stops. I've been losing karma and Elo points because of exiting games before they're won, when the game freezes. It just happened!

Why would you release this garbage instead of adding the new features onto classic which plays so much smoother, the interface, game play, graphics are all better on classic.

Fun game. Enjoyable tutorial. But I end with a sense that the game is rigged in favor of the AI. Or maybe I'm no good at this. Must try it out.

Doesn't detect clicks accurately, buggy game interface in and out of menus, view gets stuck in the worst angle, and requires "scrolls" to actually play something other than basic maps.

Unplayable. Spent 3 minutes trying to build a ship because only a single pixel is the right spot. Next turn couldn't build a settlement because the ship was in the way and the game kept thinking I was trying to move the ship

Great game but glitchy...freezes up at times, mostly when exchanging goods when being robbed...also unable to play single player despite finishing the arrival to Catan

The tutorial isn't very good, and the bugs are still an issue. The one I've encountered most often is the inability to select the building or improvement that I want to build and place.

The playing is easy but there are a lot of errors(black screen, to much time log out/log in)

unplayable...when I play the 1st island nothing happens except black screen and 12 resource cards of each resource at the bottom. Why make a ga me that you can't play

Buggy Buggy Buggy lucky if you can play a match with out it bugging out and sticking mid match and if you leave those stuck matches you lose elo ...

Finished the welcome to Catan thing, still no access to single player

Still some bugs, but pretty fun :D Had an issue with completing the Arrival on Catan mission, but emailed the support team and they fixed it within a few hours. Fantastic support

Great game. Still has a few quirks to work out but I love it so far!

I played the old catan app A LOT and was a big fan. So when this new one came out and i read the reviews i was hesitant to say the least. After getting into it though I found that it worked almost as well as the old one. My 2 main gripes are 1. There is no local multiplayer. My brother an I would use this all the time when we are together. Playing at least a game a day, and the removal of that feature REALLY rubbed me the wrong way. If this was included I would give this an easy 5/5 and I hope USM is working on it. I know we could play online against each other but that doesn't work 100% of the time and it eats away at out data. Seems like it should be an easy include. 2. The rate of play for the AI seems very fast. I have a hard time following every move the computer makes during their turn. The game log helps a little but being able to slow it down would be a great help for me. One thing I was extremely happy to see was that I was able to transfer my purchases from the old app to this one, but can you please get all the game expansions added in quickly. I'm missing the knights and dragon expansion a lot!

Just a minor bug where i did the arrival quest and cant play the game single player or nothing like that

Hey i just lost 10 elo because i was kicked from a game due to what i think were server issues :( (Edit) lost another 10 elo the following game because i was booted again ( and it was a really close game that i could have won, the scores were 16-15-16 on heading for new shores) Would love if you fixed the elo lost from those games - gotta say im not thrilled about investing myself in a game that i cant finish, and even less thrilled about losing ranks and having to play casuals because im losing elo to connectivity issues on your end (Edit) i do want to add that overall i am really happy with the new app. Great UI, got used to it very quickly, and the only other bug i have found (apart from connectivity issues mentioned above - i know my connection is good) is commercial harbor. When i use the card it works fine, but when an opponent uses it I am asked to choose a resourse instead of a commodity, and i dont loose a commodity at all. Obviously this is unfair to opponents so i figured I'd mention it. Will rate 5 stars if you can do something to fix my situation. Username VascoNunez

A few bugs in placement of stuff but solid otherwise

After finishing "arrival" it says all basic game modes should be unlocked, but it won't let me play a single player game.
