My kids love this app on iPad. Just purchased it for Android as well. However, the Android version keeps glitching. Multiple parts of the game starts playing simultaneously! Please fix!

Annoying. Would be good otherwise.

Why no Tatics on Android but only on iPad?

Nice app for the most part. Not the best for my four year old. Some lessons too challenging for her. Maybe splitting things up by she would be nice. Main problem: not very usable on my nexus 5. No stability problems, but dropping pieces in the right place too difficult. Squares are small on this screen (and this is a relatively large phone). I think this problem could be solved with a little more care on your piece selection and target square selection interface

Great content, glitchy interface. Hard to move pieces!! This has really good content, lessons and practice. However, it crashes alot and there are some serious basic UI issues that need to be fixed. Like others have said, it is a bit buggy, here are a few: (1) Back button exits lesson, no confirmation or better yet going back to where you were. It is easy to hit by mistake, a "Resume lesson" (or confirmation) is really needed. Lessons are long (for a kid) so this is super necessary. (2) It should remember which lessons the kid has completed and where in the lesson the kid left off. The largest bug: (3) It is really hard (for adults also) to actually move the pieces on the board!!! You would think this would be a flawless UI experience. You would be wrong. For some reason, getting the software to accept the initial two-square pawn advance is harder than just moving one step. It is so odd. Other moves exhibit the same strangeness. If these three issues would be solved, this would be a killer app. Get the UI in game and in the menus working better, since it is really a shame that this great content is inaccessible in a bad chess program experience.

My son and I are loving learning / improving our chess together. Thanks Professor McDinosaur!

Very frustrating and demotivating! Pieces won't move to the block where you move your piece to. My son of 6 would have loved this app if it did not take several minutes to get a piece to move.

I learned about Dinosaur Chess from one of my chess students. This is a great app for kids learning chess.

Y70%

I bought the game for my soon and as soon as we opened the app the game foreclosed. Please fix.

The kids seem to like it. He is now playing. Good applet.

Repeating lessons is a little wonky--you get started where you left off, even if you completed the lesson. For younger kids who will need a few tries to master, this is a bit annoying. Also it would be helpful to have a short text prompt for completing challenges so that you don't have to repeat the audio if you/they forget what they're supposed to do. So there's room for improvement, but so far the best chess app I've found for young kids. A no brainer at 99 cents.

It's crashed on me many times on my Nexus 7. Once I tried playing chess and the chess board never got set up but the board was left as it was after the last lesson - with no kings. It's hard to play chess with no kings. I had to restart my tablet to get it working again. Most of the time when it crashes I just have to restart the app and it works, but have to start over whatever I was doing. The only bug that hasn't been fixed by a reboot is that it crashes every time I view my progress after beating the 5-star dinosaur at chess. This app is usable in spite of the bugs. Thankfully my kids haven't gotten frustrated yet by all the crashing (and they haven't played the 5-star dinosaur, so they can still see their progress).

Fun way to introduce chess to kids, but the UI need to be easier to use Has clever ways to make learning fun, including games where you move your piece to a goal while avoiding animals. Unfortunately, it's really hard for my kids to specify exactly where the pieces should go (even I have problems sometimes). When moving pieces, please add some visual indication as to where the piece would move to if you stop pressing on the screen. Possibly add an option to vibrate when you are holding a piece above a valid square.

This is a pretty good, user-friendly app for ANYONE to learn chess! I only wish there was an option to have text instruction rather than audio for times when i'm playing in public, trying not to disturb others, etc.

This is a great app and, for me, an intuitive beginning into chess. In my opinion, this is FAR better than using a book to learn the basics. Long may this app continue to evolve.

Great way for a complete newbie to learn chess. Good for young or old. Lots of practice games, too. The animations are fun. I dropped one star because it's a tad buggy in a few places.

There seems to be a problem with this app and my android tablet - as soon as we progress onto the 'rook' section it closes down. I bought the app as my boy gets on very well with the game on pc, where it works beautifully.

I've owned the PC version of Dinosaur Chess for some time now and it was the one that could capture the attention of my 6 year old son. I'm verry happy it's now available on Android.

My 5 year old son has a lot of fun with it, it is probably the best intro to chess for kids on android.

Pretty nice app to teach chess to kids, fun. It's also good for adults. It would be great if you add subtitles and maybe spanish traslation.

Fantastic app to teach chess to your children

This is more like a video presentation and not as interactive as one expects for an android app. I can't move pieces easily in the game mode. I have played better game for the amount I paid similarly.
