World of Goo for Android
This game is honestly amazing. It's difficult, but not so difficult it stops being fun. The story is clever, the goo balls are adorable, and the gameplay is near perfection. Great for older kids (10 and up) as well as adults of all ages. There's nothing inappropriate, though, so there's no harm in letting your five year old play it. There's not much replay value, but that's true of most puzzles.
Game would be great except for a real showstopper in the newest version. The music stops playing in 10-30 seconds after starting any level. Old review for previous, working version: The demo is very representative of the game and is pretty fun to boot. I'm very happy with this. Runs great on my nexus 4, hogs battery life though so I tend to play at home while charging.
This game is amazing. The words on sign painter make the goo balls seem real, living thing. Overall graphics and dynamics of the game leave you free to do anything that you can imagine. Best game on android, iOS or PC. Worth the value. I had bought it when I had iPhone and I bought it again for ny android coz you cant have enough of it. Make sure you play with music on. They have done amazing on that front too! Thank you 2D Boy!
A variety of physics based puzzles featuring charming little blobs of goo, a delightful art style and a curious sense of humour [thank you - the sign painter]. I played this all the way to the end and still revisit levels trying to master the OCD challenges.
i have a love hate with this game, i love it because it is so fun and cute, and i hate because it is so fun and cute, the puzzles are beyond what others say they can finish in a couple of hours. those that say that, have one of two things, but we'll not go into that. 2D Boy, great game, keep it up, and don't forget, people on here want updates asap. so if your game is liked by many, and i'm one of em, you need to keep us updated on what you are doing... please.
I've played this over and over for 7 years. Please give us #2. You have the creative knowledge to make it!!! I've bought this for pc, my iPod, and my Android phone. I'm addicted to climbing higher and curious to learn if the goo balls who made it high in the sky will ever find others out in goo space. World of goo #2!!!
After seeing a few things and reading about World of Goo, I decided I'd try it out; I was hooked right away. The game is simple, intuitive, and fun and it's also just entertaining to watch: Just seeing the different ways that each of your friends approach the same puzzle is cool enough to warrant multiple playthroughs. The OCD goals are a nice bonus for those of us who like to squeeze every dime out of their games. If you're looking for a game that's worth your hard earned money, World of Goo is it.
It functions fine on mobile, its just not very fun to me. The UI of a touch screen is perfect for type of game it is, but it turns out the camera is far too zoomed in and it feels very slippery, probably because your thumb inevitably blocks your vision of what you are about to place. Im suprised its got such a high rating, ive had more fun with free mobile games. Not that 5 is too expensive, the game is just over rated
I love this game. I really just am so addicted off the first story, and I hope to be satisfied with my purchase with the rest I got to say 5$. Isn't so bad for a game so it wouldn't matter. This game is so worth it if you haven't tried please try. Beware you will get addicted.
Awesome! I used to play it on a PC, then after some years I found out there was an android version too. Very funny game and story. What I really appreciate is that it seems like it doesn't use any battery at all!
I'm glad I bought this game. It is perfectly challenging, fun, and sometimes even funny and witty. Love the bright, colorful visuals. The music is outstanding. Controls are very responsive. I wish there was a zoom in/out option for tablets, though, when gameplay becomes blocked by my own finger. Otherwise, if you love puzzle games and don't mind a challenge, I highly recommend this one.
I played this game back in 2010 - 2011 while i was deployed to Afghanistan, i tell you for a game to take you away and give you a little place to escape from that hell, i speaks for it's self. And that's exactly what it did. I'm not sure how, but if you play this game you'll be stuck like GOO! On top of that it looks like it came right out of one of Tim Burton's movies that alone should make anyone want to try it out.
Excellent graphic, so smooth. Music is really good. Simple task but very challenging. And the goo are so CUTE! Sometimes I don't understand the Sign Painter, but I know they have important roles.. Little bit pricey but really worth buying!
I have played and beaten this game multiple times because it is so good. However I was wondering if there were any plans on adding more levels or anything? I don't want to keep on my phone if there isn't going to be anymore significant updates. But still amazing!
Used to work well; now it freezes on load screens after playing for awhile. Has not been updated in 1.25 years. Seems unlikely it will work in future since Android keeps changing. Rats!
Amazing. You can tell how much work has gone into this. Highly recommended and would love to see a sequel. The music is amazing I cannot believe the quality of this game. sometimes crashes on sgs2 but still would get over 5 stars if it was possible.
Why isn't there an option to turn off the music but keep the sound effects? The music is loud, gets old really fast, and makes people around you complain. I liked playing this at first but by level 2 it feels like I'm on hold waiting for the next available representative.
This level-based game is unique in the way it's played. You need to drag goo balls into a tower to reach a pipe. It's creative yet imaginative and requires some problem solving. 9/10 The Gaming Kid ❇ ❇ ❇ :-D
Overall is a very high quality puzzle game. Sometimes will just get frustrated as you always pick the wrong ball. But don't you think the font is too small to read?
This is a cool game with good graphics and story. This would be a good classic game for almost everybody. If you're stuck on a level you can skip it for then and come back. I play it wait a while then play it again and it still surprises me. You should download it!!
Game fails to install after downloading. Game also denies my refund. If you feel like giving the developer $$$ for nothing, by all means click buy. If you're not a fan of being ripped off, stay away. Additionally, this app cost me more in internet charges than the game is worth, due to redownloads trying to get it to install. So really, its cost me $10, and nerve worked.
Played this for ages, if you like using your brain and figuring out cool puzzle obstacles in a brilliantly conceived graphical world, then this is it!! Not a big fan of mobile games... Glad they ported this one though!!
Absolutely awesome puzzle game. Excellent graphics, sounds and puzzle logic - not too easy but not so hard that you go crazy! Worth every penny! Thanks for the great game!
By the time I got to chapter 4 it was making my fairly new galaxy note phone, which had absolutely no issues previous to purchasing this game, start wiging out! I can play Subway Surfers NO PROBLEM! I had been playing that for months! I downloaded this game and suddenly 2 days after purchase my phone freezes in game and wigs out outside of game. I am very frustrated with this! Even more so after I Uninstalled this game and what? my phone works!?! No problems! game must overload system. Waste of money!
The only word I can think of to describe this game is legendary. Fun story, creative gameplay ideas, just awesome
I love this game with a passion of 100 burning dwarf stars. Its a fun game and it helps my mind open up to puzzles a small bit more.
I always come back to this game every six months to a year since its release. It's that good. The soundtrack is pleasantly dark and super catchy as well. Play it or die.
I appreciate a game that requires you to do more than tap the screen as quickly as possible. .. My reflexes were never that great.
I love the game and I had played it on PC back in the day and it's great on the phone. Only thing really bugging me is that the soundtrack doesn't loop but instead glitches into no sound after an initial loop. Such a shame.
I am not a gamer but this game appealed to me on many levels. Super challenging, wistfully creative, charming and sinister. I'm so sad because I finished it! Please make a part 2, I'd buy it in a heartbeat!
It's often overlooked how much information apps and games take in return for giving you access to their content. 5 stars to World of Goo for not demanding access to any of your personal info!
Getting a game that unintentionally created a genre, it's always best to address the original. Thankfully it's the best of the lot. Lots of love and devotion went into this game. It'll be a classic one day - enjoy it!
I love this game, I've played the heck out of it on PC, and I am glad to see it on Android. That being said, I have one big gripe with this version - you can't mute or adjust the volume of the audio. I tend to play mobile games while listening to podcasts and audiobooks and so the ability to individually mute apps is critical to me. I would happily rate this game 5 stars if it weren't for that big miss.
I listen to audio books while playing a game before bed and during my lunch break. This is the only time I play games. The inability to do mute the game makes it so I will never play. Loved it on the wii. Disappointed.
I've played the demo a long time ago on Steam, and knew I had to but it sometime. I have to say it runs really smoothly on my Oneplus One, besides minor issues trying to target a specific gooball, which might take a little getting used to. World of Goo is an interesting, sometimes pretty challenging, but fun and philosophical physics-based puzzle game. The music fits perfectly to the bizarre characters and landscapes you meet and the signs you find in each level, giving you tips make the game truely unique.
So glad I found this game in the Play Store! I also own it on all of my iOS devices. I gave it 4* and not 5*, because the intro music doesn't always play. Even on the Chapter select screen. Not sure if it's a bug or not.
Its really unique. The concept is simple but very strategic. The art is cool, and fits the game. The art kind of reminds me of loco roco. Its awesome. Yes its not free, but theres no in app purchases or stupid stuff like waiting (unless you pay), premium currency, or annoy your facebook friends for in game stuff. Personally id rather pay a set amount 1 time for an awesome honest game than get a "free" game thats designed to continually suck $ out of your pocket if you want to get anywhere.
A cute puzzle game with the creativity of goo. Nothing too groundbreaking, but still an enjoyable iteration of the building puzzle game. It's a little expensive for my taste and I wouldn't have purchased it without my gift card. The lack of a mute button is a really strange oversight and, having seen many complaints about it, I've come to the conclusion that the developers don't really care enough to add it despite what their fans want. The "Sign Painter" can be cute at times, but more often misses the mark
Came back to update my review just to tell everyone that it's still awesome. Best purchase I made on here. Brilliant original game, no in-app purchasing rubbish

Sometimes its better to do less then to add bugs. There is an issue in 'World of Goo Corporation' screen. On galaxy tab s which new and powerful equipment the performance is not acceptable, about 2 fps. And after reset some of the balls are gone forever. I have 200 balls in the middle of third chapter.
