Zombicide Companion for Android
This app serves no purpose if you want to play alone, as it forces you to connect other devices in a lobby to continue playing. This completely defeats the purpose of being able to play alone, as the game rules state, and in the app description. Haven't tried playing with others yet to test the multiplayer functionality so I can't rate that portion of the app, but as it stands for me, it dissapoints.
A very nice app with the base game for Free! Others cost $ but u pay for the convenience & it makes solo play with multiple characters smooth & easy! Highly recommended
While I love Zombicide and continue to shell out way too much money on core sets and addons, it seems ridiculous we should have to pay for them again. There should be some sort of voucher system that gives you this content when you buy the physical game. And there is no support for Black Plague, which is equally as ridiculous. I was quite surprised given the quality of the board games that this software was such a piece of junk.
This app is not ready for prime time. Bad marketing strategy to charge people for each item in the app. The app is too clunky. No Black Plague support. This is a 1-Star app in its current state.
The app is pretty good, but having to pay for things I already own is a really really bad customer strategy. It's also currently clunky to use with all the networking when you could just use the IRL material without worrying about checking phones or tablets
Survivors and expansions cost money, even though you own the equipment. This App is a huge let down.
Why ask people to shell out more money for an app when the games is pricey enough , people are not going to play it without the rest
Will this have support for Black Plague any time soon?
This is nice for when I play the original game at a mate's. But, where's the support for Black Plague?
From online, it is mentioned that season 1 is free to use on the app, but I cannot select season 1, nor is it available to purchase. Nexus 6 on 7.0.
Wouldn't play without this app. Just organizes play, exp, and inventory so well.
No black plague support???
This app is a great companion however it is buggy when using multiple devices, loosing connection. Very disappointing! This latest update won't let my android and Apple devices connect! Different versions of the Lobby! Frustrating!
Helps make running the game and card management simpler and helps create less clutter on the play surface. It seems to become more useful as stuff gets added as well
Only suggestion is to add the ability to create your own characters.
The sound effects need to be fixed
Where is Black Plague?
My iPad says the phone is on 3.3.2 even though the app version is 3.4 The iPad is 3.4 and Ita showing up as such. Neither can join games started by the other.
The versions won't match as iOS lists android devices as the previous version of the app regardless of whether it's updated or not. Will change review when fixed
Need internet to use purchases everytime. Does not keep in device like app! Problem because were I play I always have internet problems! But it is great for S1 core game!
I've found this app to be really useful, especially as a bit of a noob playing this. It's way easier setting up the decks than in real life. And sorry, the minimal payment just isn't that onerous, so I don't mind. At least one improvement I'd love to see is when the characters start their turn, that all the action buttons are turned back on. It's easy enough to activate a character in the order I want, but why do I then have to toggle all the action buttons? I also agree with the suggestion to make the zombie turn be more proactive. Maybe you have to hit a button to say the zombie turn is done, then it resets all the character action buttons, and activates one of the characters. I do have some problems dragging the cards, but I can't figure out if it is my Nexus tablet or the app. And if I do drag a wound card on top of a card currently in my inventory, it should automatically "discard" the card to the top of the screen, like it does if I have a full inventory.
Quick and clean setup every playthrough.
Buttons don't work and I have to buy all the cards I already own again!
I dropped my rating to a 3. This app is a great companion however it is buggy when using multiple devices and the new VIP expansion is missing the weapons! Very disappointing!
Tried to join a game and none showed up. We think it's my droid phone not being able to find the game.
Love what this app does for Season 1-3. I hope they expand the app to include the new series Black Plague and future expansions/seasons.
This promo character isn't in the app. I got him at Walker Stalker 2013 I think. Can he be added?
I have both ultimate survivors 1 and 2, I was hoping the app would have them but unfortunately not.
June 2016 update: application won't load on Motorola Xoom. Worked great before that. Downgraded stars
Needs blank cards where you can choose your own name and skill sets. if it this I'd happily give it a 5
I own the figures and the dashboards, why should I pay for what I already own?
Especially on larger boards, the space savings and organization benefits make this app a handy companion to the Zombicide game.
Love utilizing this app while playing. For those complaining about it not having BP then don't download it and move on. This app greatly helps organizing the character cards during play; BP has plastic bases where you can organize player progression and items much easier. The biggest issue I found with the first 3 Zombicides were the character cards but this app assist/replaces them. Thanks CMON for this excellent application!!
Why on Earth would you release an update to a companion app 2 months after a major stand-alone release (like Black Plague) and not include support for it? I entered into the Zombicide world with BP - so this is useless to me.
This worked great until the lastest update. It now doesn't work on my older tablet. It also limited how many user I could add to the app. I used to have large Zombicide parties with 8-10 people, but now I can't add all of them. I have to manually hack the app by only using one controller and putting all the players under that one. I then have to manually determine who goes first and keep track of their actions. The app went from being good, to just being a pain.
Treats each character like its controlled by a single player. Rules state a player can control multiple characters and choose the order as well.
I can totally get why a lot of people are upset at the pricing of this app, and while I don't blame them, I personally don't think it's that big a deal. I just see it as a completely optional item, much like the extra zombies, gaming night boxes, and other various small box expansions that are sold. As to the app itself, I think the price is well worth the level of convenience it offers, especially for solo play. The app hasn't really changed much from before CMON took over. You can still use virtual card decks for zombies and equipment, virtual dice for attacks, and the only new feature is that now you can create teams and there is a competitive play option, although it's only available for season 3. I think it's also important to note that other players connecting to a device do not need to purchase additional content. Players connecting to a host's server will have access to everything the host owns, which is kind of nice considering some game apps require all players to have purchased the same content. If the pricing doesn't bother you, this is a great app that will save you time and cleanup and allow for easy solo play.
Since the new update (season 3), the app does not launch anymore ! I have paid all the extensions and now all is lost ! What can I do now ? Buy a new tablet ? I'm on ACER 500, Android 4.0
Because it enforces ordering of the survivors as if each one is played by a different player. In a physical game, a player gets to choose the order his own survivors act, but this app treats each survivor as belonging to a different player. Looks like it could be really useful, but apparently only for games where each player has only 1 survivor.

App does what it promises very well but additional costs of $3.86 AUD per expansion *per player* are unconscionable considering you'd still need to have the physical product to play.
