Dawn Of Man for Android
Faithful adaptation. -2 stars because symbols are lost when you continue a game.
Great game but has a few bugs. Can't find a way to cancel accidental clicks on items I didn't want. Over paying with resources by mistake, to stop starving only allows you to change it if you shut the game down restart then continue. Generally key presses stop or aren't sensitive enough.
NO TUTORIAL! Simple but fun. I recommend watching YouTube tutorial on STONE AGE BOARD GAME
Plays just like the board game Stone Age. The AI player is tough! Decent graphics, plays quickly, restores games in-progress really well. No sound or animation, but hey - it's a board game! Controls are a little small on my phone, but still usable. Plays perfectly on my tablet. The turn log is handy so I can keep track of what the AI player is up to. The rules of the game are also included in the app, as are instructions on how to use the app, both of which are handy. Recommended!
Just has some annoying bugs: 1) the long tap to undo does not work on my Galaxy S5 2) when I leave a game and come back, I lose all my symbols 3) it allows payment of duplicate resources in place of gems i.e. allowing me to pay 3 wood when three DIFFERENT resources should have been paid. 4) Crashes frequently, especially after leaving and reentering a game.
I've been checking everyday for Stone Age... It's a great version of it! You can see resources etc. .. just scroll the bottom and/or hold down. It's all there! Great job! One problem! If you leave game and cone back, all your symbols are gone! !
Can't advance past round 4 without app crashing. Can't purchase buildings without app crashing.
A (presumably) unlicensed version of the board game Stone Age. Being unable to see your resources makes for a disjointed and frustrating experience.
Especially before leaving an ignorant negative review based on not having taken the time to read the instructions. Example: you CAN see your resources/cards/points, and you CAN undo a placement. AI isn't as good as a human but if you want that then go make friends and play Stone Age.

Ai is way too easy.would be nice having increased difficulty options
The game does a nice copy of Stone Age (the boardgame) in mechanics. But the User Interface is not very intuitive, and very unforgiving. If you accidentally tap one extra meeple on a spot, there seems to be no way to correct it. Same for clicking the wrong resource in paying for a card, but at least there you can just hit cancel and start over in they buying of the card. I also find it difficult not to know my resources while planning my turn. So all in all, not a terribly good implementation on the User INterface bit, but it plays very well. And since that heart of the game is the most important (as with Androminion) I still bought it and hope they will put the resources to good use to improve the useability.
