Would love to play this game but when I try to shoot my camera spins. Right stick doesn't work either. Using the Bluetooth xbone s controller. If it worked I'd have given the game a 5 :(

I think the game runs well but its almost impossible to play with the ipega controller because the select button (echo device) doesn't work. I have tried everything but have just given up now. Such a shame. Total fail

No functional shift codes, zero support. Game is abandoned compared to other versions. Sadly, I'd rather be playing Borderlands 2 on PS Vita

About 10% of the time, this game can be played with a mouse and keyboard just like PC, but most of the time it INSISTS that you use a controller, why can't it dynamically switch input types depending on what button has been pressed? The game even acknowledges that you are using a mouse and keyboard but they still do not work properly. Very annoying.

Great game, but the Android cloud save system is so flawed. I am around 80% of the way through with many hours wasted, the game has sent me back to previous saves many times and now refuses to upload my current save (Shield TV) to the cloud. So any sort of back up or ability to cross play on my Shield Tablet is non existent. I fear to continue on any further as the upset of losing current progress is too frustrating.

Was excited to play Borderlands on my Nvidia Tablet, unfortunately the game crashes randomly throughout gameplay and has issues connecting to Google Play services. So, you could either enjoy the game in 30 minute spurts before a crash and you lose your progress, OR you can't play at all because of the DRM. I would really like to enjoy this game, but after reinstalling multiple times I don't think that will happen.

I'm using a Matricom Bluetooth game pad and the select button won't take me to the menus. Please fix! EDIT: Lost my character save and all data TWICE now. Pretty frustrated. I don't understand how a cloud save system can screw up like this. How could there not be backups? Mind-boggling.

This game on the tablet is amazing. I'd forgotten how much fun Borderlands was in general and this has revitalized my interest in the worlds of Pandora all over again! Hurry up and get Borderlands 2 ready for Nvidia tablet so I can totally lose myself in the craziness!

It run better thn Borderlands 2. First i run it with highest setting. However it seems like the tiny tablet couldn't handle it. Framerate drop so bad just like vita version. So i did some tweaking, lower the graphic to medium or even low. Thn its as smooth as pc! Vita version are definitely not compareable with this, be it graphic or framerate. Although i need to lower the graphic but it still looks better thn vita version as there are some depth of field and lighting effect which u can't see in vita. Some ppl did says about the over heating issues. It did happen whn run in highest setting, i can almost fry eggs with the tablet. But the heat turn to subtle warm whn i tweak the settings. It definitely enjoyable thn vita version, smooth frame rate and better graphic and YEAH! Now i can play borderland on the go! Other gamer was staring on my tablet screen. Thy look so shock that i playing pc game on my tablet with controller. Thanks for porting legend pc game to nvidia. Looking forward for more pc game to be playable on the go! Worth every penny, support the developer for more games

It looked okay on my Shield Tablet, not great but playable. I upgraded to a Pixel C with the nVidia X1 chip and... now I can't play there or get refunded. I own this game on PC, on PS4, Xbox 360 and thought I'd have it on Android. DO NOT BY DEVICE LOCKED SOFTWARE! You will lose it if you ever upgrade or get a new device. Again. DO NOT BUY DEVICE LOCKED SOFTWARE.

But that's about it. It lags sometimes in the open world going between 20 to 40 frames. Occasionally, entire frames will freeze up mid combat, but this is a rare occurrence. Indoor areas fare a little better at a stable 30 to 40. Also, battery drain on this game is monumental; a 3 to 4 hr experience at full. Would love to see DLC support eventually like in the PC release, but as it stands it is the most enjoyable shooter on android. Note- controller is mandatory.

Bought black Friday, tried numerous times to just install it yet fails after around 50-60% every time whilst downloading. Would be nice to play but not even on shield tv or K1. Last step is now applying for a refund

C70%

Runs better than 2. If you could just secure a slight bit better performance 2 would be a lot more playable. This one runs fine though. Sure as hell don't miss my vita!

I'm amazed to see this running on my tablet and a simply brilliant game as well. I'm disappointed though to see that shift codes are not supported. Also would be nice if the dlc was also made available with this and borderlands 2.

It's fantastic that these types of games are finally coming to tablet for the on the go gamer and this port actually works really well. However, don't buy this game to play on a plane trip, as the game conducts licensing checks to make sure you've purchased it and if your connection is unreliable, you won't be able to play. I really feel this should be in the description. In addition, while its appreciated that there are some graphical options to play with, a simple tablet mode option would be great.

C70%
by C####:

I installed this game expecting to be able to play it portably. Turns out you need a constant internet connection. The worst part is that it doesn't tell you untill after you buy it. 1star until I can play offline.

Sent an email over two month ago, still no reply. Considering the shield tablet is a wifi only portable device, a constant DRM check is insanely frustratingly dumb. I never would have purchased this almost unusable game, had it been in the description that it needed a constant data connection. I will not purchase anything ever again from this company.

C70%
by C####:

I'd give this 4 to 5 stars if I could actually continue playing the game. I like the game, a bit battery consuming (lose battery while charging) however it's smooth and plays well. However I'm stuck quite early in the story as I can't get to triton flats. A bit upsetting really. EDIT: I reinstalled the game and it works so far again.

First, I literally tried for 3 days to load the game. It would get to about 50% then say "installing", then completely drop everything and go back as if I'd never pressed install. Very frustrating, but I was determined. Finally I get it loaded, and now it won't validate the licence at the main menu. So I figure i'll scroll down and hit the Google play sign in option. I click it and it asks for permission for my Google info, no problem, click. Then after a few seconds it prompts me with the same thing. I try clicking it repeatedly for about 30 minutes, then give up. All of my other games linked to Google play work just fine.

Plug and play dev! Having to be online makes the whole mobility factor useless. The fact I once again have to juggle through hoops again to play a game I paid for is getting annoying. BL2 is flawless but this Is a deal breaker I think.

C70%
by C####:

It's stuck in some infernal loop where about 2GB downloads and then gives a storage error. There is plenty of storage and the SD was formatted by the Shield.

C70%
by C####:

When I booted it up all the settings were on max, and it ran terribly, however with some tweaking I got it running nicely with medium settings. The game looks amazing even at medium, and I'm surprised the k1 has the power to pull this off. Only cons are to do with heat generated(tablet could have been used to fry eggs at points), and occasional lagging and controller unresponsiveness. Fix these and its a stellar port.

Doom 3 and Half Life 2 are great and all, but those games are more than 10 years old. Don't how much they had to reduce the graphics of the pc/console version to get this working (if any) but it's a pretty impressive achievement. I'm happy to pay for this game as I hope it will encourage developers to release more games like this to the Shield Tablet. It does run through the battery pretty quick though. And I've just started the game and it looks pretty fun. I have the 2 other borderlands on steam, never played them. Maybe I'll give them a shot soon

C70%

I was starting to think that the Shield Tablet had peaked with Half Life and Doom. I am astonished at how great this game runs. I have had zero problems and hope that the DCL come out in one bundle.

C70%

I personally had a bad experience with this game - it crashed often and when it does run the performance is way below par. seemed like a decent port - i just didn't get to enjoy much of it

C70%
by C####:

Fun game and amazing to see it ported to Android. If anyone else has been experiencing the game force closing about 20 minutes or so of gameplay, this is because the Shield is overheating and it doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the game.

H70%

Shame there's no ship code bonuses for having every other Borderlands game as well. Or any shift codes stuff. But, I guess it will come in time.

C70%

Runs great, then thermal throttles into unresponsive controls, sound cuts, and freezes. Eventually crashes, and google cloud saves send me back 5 min without my loot

C70%
by C####:

Not even had a chance to play it every time it goes to start up it says logging in to play sore and crashes. The game doesn't start at all just loading screens

C70%
by C####:

This game is great but I can't play with the case on. Tablet gets hot but it seems to take it without missing a beat

B70%
by B####:

Amazing game to play on a tablet (Shield K1), and quite fun. Having some issues with Google Play, probably because of the cloud save system, however. It causes Google Play to stop responding, and the game to lock up and stop responding as well. This can be worked around by playing the game offline, but is a real problem if you want to try multiplayer at all. It loses a star because none of the excellent DLC is included, and for not having any Android-friendly SHIFT codes. Sadly, because Android (mobile gaming in general, it seems) is generally treated as an unloved stepchild by developers of anything other than freemium crap, it is likely that neither of these issues will ever be positively addressed by 2K Games.

I love the BL series. However using the controller is pain fully annoying.

No offline? I bought thinking it was for offline play also, developers need to stop making games that require internet its annoying other than that game is awesome

Runs super smooth, I am going to leave my Vita home now. The game looks good and still runs at a solid 30-40fps. I want to see more games like this available for my shield tablet. When the switch comes out just buy a Nvidia shield tablet, it is the future of portable gaming and this title shows its power

This game is absolutely fantastic and the fact it is running on Android TV is impressive! Finally our long awaited game is Here!!! Update my save progress was lost. WTF??
