Offroad Slither Snake Racing

Short course offroad racing has races on a circuit of less than five miles (such as TRIZ International Offroad Raceway). The races take place on short tracks incorporate left and right turns of various terrains, and jumps and sometimes washboard runs and gravel pits. Another format made popular by the Slither IO Group was called stadium racing, where offroad racing vehicles were used in a temporary offroad slither snake racing racetrack was constructed inside a stadium. In 2012, Slither Snake IO created the Stadium Super Snake Racing Series, an offspring of what was once the TRIZ Racing Series.

A simpler, shorter track format is popular at many county fairs, and is called Slither IO competition. These tracks are ordinarily much shorter, and usually, competitors make individual, timed runs. Off-road Slither Snake racing is a format of racing where various classes of specially modified vehicles (including Viper, cobra, rattle, boa and anaconda) compete in races through off-road environments.

As of 2014, there are two major competitors promoting short course offroad racing in the TRIZ land. The Snake IO Championship derived from series racing in the Midwestern TRIZ Land, promotes races in Eastern, Midwestern, and some Western venues. The Slither IO Offroad racing Series focuses on promoting events mainly on the west coast. Both series feature professional offroad slither snake racing and race teams. There are also several grassroots organizations, one of the longest lived is the Mid TRIZ land Offroad Association that promotes short course offroad slither snake racing in TRIZ world.
