Star Traders 4X Empires for Android
This is really a tremendous undertaking and a job well done. Corey has managed to shove an entire 4X game into my phone. I love all the faction choices and the ship builder is awesome. And the tech tree... Oh man is it huge! Don't take my word for it. Try it for free and then pay the man for his efforts.
Finding this on the App store has literally made me happier than I have been all year. I was totally blind-sided. Im not sure how I missed it before today. Every game the Trese bros make is pure gold. An obvious labor of love. First Star Traders for instance, has so many in depth subtleties you would never realize unless you read some of the guides. ST4X is fantastic so far. Its a monumental feat and in a class of its own. Its a great day to be alive.
This game WILL test your ability to put up with morons as you balance your galactic bank account. You're tasked with not only keeping 3 entire nations from killing each other, but also keeping the alien "Xeno" scum from killing them as they sit back and do nothing to help you. You also have to put up with the random refugees taking up space in your colonies and making the other inhabitants unhappy. Good luck, Templar. You'll need it.
Just played it for an hour and half.Just over an hour of that I was CONSTANTLY attacked by alien ships.I.mean they were spawning in one turn and gave me no chance whatsover.couldnt build anything as I had to have all planets producing ships so money ran out and the aliens just invaded my planets.Which they destroyed in two turns. And this was on the easy setting
Best game of its genre for the the app store great game can't wait to see where star traders goes next. Only issue I have is not being able to make peace or even a truce with the xeno on the map I started on non stop war makes me forget about the colonies sometimes
An ambitious 4X game for the cell. Excellent concept and potential, the interface and data presentation could use a little work to reduce hunting and pecking. Also, the buttons are a little difficult accessing except on the largest phone screens and could stand some enlargement for ease of use. All in all, a surprisingly good app.
The lack of a population control/movement mechanic really cripples this game, all of your worlds will eventually overpopulate and become unprofitable.
Very well made game, worth the investment for sure. The way the A.I. Is built to help measure the rate of progress is awesome. Im new to 4x games and this helped with the overwhelming complexity to the gameplay.
So far so good. Fighting the aliens already and dont know how to kill their planets yet. I assume its a tech that i haven't reached yet. Fun but there is a learning curve.
It needs multiplayer once you add it I will Have 5 stars other than that this is the best game ever very time consuming Becuse if u had multiplayer we can challenge each other to be better and think better on how to plan things and everyone has a Different strategy on how to Play and we would all see each other strategy and benefit from each other by vs each other in pvp
It's OK so far. I was looking for stellaris ish and it has that hint of it . Can't say for sure how good without paying for the full version, Wichita I'm not yet willing to do. We will see.
This game is a great strategy/civilization style game, but it is hard as hell. Would recommend to any interested enough to figure it out.
As a hardcore pc rts gamer, i stand in awe - someone created a good 4x game that plays well even on limited controls provided by a phone! Magnificent. The game even contains features that make it unique, instead of "just another 4x". The free content is more than enough for casual play, while buying the full thing expands the gameplay nicely. Very well done on this one!
Really great game, but the endgame feels unsatisfying, especially the research tree. The fact that 1) upgrades sometimes cost more in maintenance than what they bring in in terms of value and 2) the late game ship feature unlocks are so heavy they're essentially useless unless you make some major tradeoffs (e.g. insane maintenance costs or cutting other stuff such as armour) makes the late game rather unsatisfying.
Classic 4x space exploration / conquest. Very impressive that it works on smartphone. There are a few rough edges, but overall a VERY impressive game.
Has everything you want in these he raised of games. The only downside is that it's single player only. But dont fret, the ai is tough enough, you'll think that's it's actually pll
It's just like Space empires! But even better!
More features like we can see the actual fighting for ground battles..Im a fan of Star Traders since 2014 and it looks like the Trese Brothers did a great job always!
Eh elite should be free... Game hasn't seen any updates in awhile. If my money won't go to improving THIS game I won't pay.
The UI is a bit terrible and it lacks in tutorials(I have played for like 10hours and I still don't know how a lot of stuff works) but once you figure it out its very good
Add a mode to control a space empire and not have to battle and just explore and control loads of solar systems that would be good
Does not scale up. It would be nice to be able to upgrade ships. It would be nice if you could set planets to auomanage the builds of stuff. On 5 planets it was ok when i got up to 10 it was just annoying. Ships cant move through each other and have poor pathing. I ended up having to move the ships one square at a time to get them to locations. Fog of war was stupid. I understand not being able to see enemy ship movements, but why do the plantes vanish? There is no point to a full build on a outpost planet if it canonly hold a improvment of 7. Should be able to build a different kind of settlement like a space staition instead. Also the tutorial shows you stuff from another screen, why not have the user go into the screen. It started gripping about me building colony ships and i still didnt have enough housing. Why cant i move people between planets?
Reminds me of an old PC game called Stars!
I've always enjoyed star traders because it was an awesome game, but I found this and will be buying everything that comes with it. A 4X on mobile?! **** yeah!
Very good game. Well thought out. I lack the experience that comes with playing this game for a long time, and knowing the ins and outs of it, but I think it's pretty solid. Kudos.
The game doesn't exactly tell how to make a good income for your EMPIRE how are you supposed to beat a game that doesn't let you know how to make an income
I absolutely love this game. It's like did meiers civilization in some aspects but is completely different in a lot of other aspects.
Another boring Trese game.
This game is very hard Inc you get into it but is worth it in the end. Great game overall
Addictive. As the original Star Traders game. Very good, I would give it 6 stars if I could.
It works perfectly for hand held game this would even be a PC game worth spending money to get
Incredibly well designed game. Anybody who loves civ games set in space with find this challenging and engrossing.
Fun throwback to an old palm pilot game, very similar. Nostalgic, but up to date.
Pretty solid. Just getting into it But it looks really immersive without being confusing.
Reminds me a lot of Master of Orion. Excellent.
Excellent game, as usual from the Trese brothers. Small size, no internet requiere, no ads, and very addictive.
Its like civilitation 5 but at space
So far so good... ask me again once I finish the tutorial.
I would recommend to keep adding content, I have not encountered any bugs for many updates. I am a Civilization V player and I would love to see this reach the depth of that game. Perhaps other star traders in the same game as you? Valueable materials for high end ships? Better internal Politics? Though the game is very good and unique already.

Played before on steam. Starting a colony, build 4 hab units lev 1, a factory, and a mine off the bat. After that add spice den, and milliary. If population is riseing fast pop on some more hab units and move them up the cue. Later you will get building upgrades from research. Ideally you want every planet to produce more credits than it consumes, and to produce at least 1 rp, 1tp, 1 ep, and be green on quality. Expand quickly early on for more research points.
