Gems 3 is a addictive match-3 type game and it's free.
How to play
[1] The objective of the game is to swap one gem with an adjacent gem to form a horizontal or vertical chain of three or more gems.
[2] Click the first gem and then click the gem you want to swap it with. If the movement is correct, they will swap and the chained gems will disappear.
[3] Bonus points are given when more than three identical gems are formed. Sometimes chain reactions, called cascades, are triggered, where chains are formed by the falling gems. Cascades are awarded with bonus points.

For a long time I've been looking for a basic, simple, match-three game - no special effects, no bombs or special jewels, just the basic, elegant, game as originally conceived. The vast majority of implementations have tacked on so many visual and audio nonsense that the underlying game has almost disappeared. The few that offer basic game play are either flooded with ads or have music & sound that you can't turn off. This one came very, very close. It plays well, it looks good, you can turn off the music, ... ... but you can't turn off the sound effects. Oh well. Yet another immediate uninstall.
