I have really enjoyed this game and hope that Zeboyd and Penny Arcade reconsider their decision to not produce mobile versions of PAA: OtRSPoD 4

Love this game. Easily the best money I have spent here yet. Watch out for Space Ostriches.

Great game. Just want to see part 4 for andriod already.

This game takes me back to the ff6 days in every awesome way. The mechanics just make sense as does the interface. Humorous story and enough depth to keep me busy for hours. Here's to hoping more are released on android soon! PS. Minor gripe with the fixed d-pad. It should be slightly larger on tablets.

O70%
by O####:

Technical issues: Game would exit and lose unsaved progress if the phone locked/slept. Otherwise, none. Gameplay: Good old turn-based RPG styles. Funny Penny Arcade dialogue. Ends abruptly, so the game seems just a bit short. With the low price, though, it's very reasonable.

by R####:

Great game, hilarious as always but contains a HUGE bug. Whenever the device goes to sleep the game restarts and you lose all progress made since the last save. This has been enough of an issue to cause me to stop playing entirely out of frustration. This is disappointing. I expected better from the PA guys. Get better coders next time to make the port.

Great game. No issues. I followed the guidelines about installation and didn't have any problems at all. I found the D-pad easy to use, despite some complaints about it I saw from others. Well worth the money. Still waiting for Rain-Slick 4 to be added!

Great fun! Love the humor, action, controls and best of all, the creatures. No known issues. Thanks for the game, TinkerHouse!

Great writing and retro style experience. Variable levels and graphics styles, witty jokes and a good story. However, the bugs get frustrating. If the game sits too long, it'll go to sleep and lose your game progress. The game should've been written to not let the device sleep. The onscreen joystick is slightly dysfunctional and there doesn't seem to be physical controller support. Great game regardless, and worth the purchase.

Awesome game, needs a bit of work on the dpad but other than that it is wicked.

This is by far the best rpg I've bought on here. The story is quirky and incredibly well written, more so than some books I've read. The gameplay is simple enough you catch on quickly, but deep and complex so that true rpg fans will feel right at home. I haven't enjoyed a game like this since final fantasy 12.

D70%
by D####:

Just like the 16 bit RPGs you remember, but enhanced with modetn conveniences like auto-heal, save anywhere, and a hilarious script that wasn't translated by babelfish. I haven't had a crash. I suppose the text is a little small, but this game is fantastic.

I've waited for this game since it was released for PC this summer. I absolutely love the game, but I wish that I could use the physical buttons on my xperia play to control the game. Please add this functionality as the touch controls aren't as great. They feel forced, like it's a gimmick that is being shoved down our throat.

Game constantly crashes, and that's if the game even responds in the the first place. Maybe I'll give a game review when I can actually play it

D70%

Pro: Good old school rpg game without some of the annoying bits like having to refill consumables. Con: Doesn't autosave well and crashes a lot.

K70%
by K####:

This game is a polished gem of an RPG. It floods me with nostalgia and scratches my desire to experience meticulously crafted game play mechanics. The best way to describe this is as a love letter to the old school RPG. They've mastered the art. I am just glad it's on Android because I'd been holding out from getting it on PC.

How can you go wrong? Great retro style game, with Gabe and Tycho. Just don't ever let your phone sleep - hopefully they can fix that. Also, you need a better icon, something more in line with other icons these days.

by K####:

I might could overlook the game crashing every time it the phone sleeps the app, but then it started running at 1/2 speed. I contacted Tinkerhouse support, who suggested I delete, reinstall and "make sure that you do not let the device sleep during the second download otherwise you may run into some loading issues" (which in and of itself is just stupid). After doing so, my game appears to be running normally, but it also deleted all my saved game data. The game itself is great, the code and support not so much. Samsung Galaxy S3

D70%
by D####:

Funny game, definitely not as polished as a SNES Final Fantasy despite the aesthetic, but has a nice amount of story content to offer for 3$. On higher difficulty levels, you'll find that a lot of abilities can't be used because they require too many turns and enemies hit too hard, but this smooths out after a couple of hours of play. Funny/nice class system, streamlined and story oriented gameplay. As mentioned in another review, the app will sometimes crash when the game is switched to the background, so like a snes game, SAVE.

Changing my review to a 1 star, been waiting for an update since purchasing on day 1. I've got a Samsung Galaxy S3 phone, a kind of high-end device, and had been playing through a bit. Lots of crashes if a text comes in, a call comes in, the screen times out, etc. I could live with that, but really wanted to play on my tablet, an ASUS Eee Pad Slider SL101. I finally figured, hey, why not install through nefarious means, just to see if it would work? Tried it to find that on this device, it runs about twice as fast. I'd suspected the PC version ran faster, but to find that my S3, one of the most popular phones, really does all the battles, transitions, walking around, SO FREAKING SLOW compared to my OUTDATED, UNSUPPORTED tablet just feels like a slap in the face. Have the QA testers even tried with one of the more popular devices? Do other folks with the S3 phone have the same super-slow performance I'm seeing? Again, I wasn't positive until I could try it on another device and compare side-by-side. REALLY hoping for that update, Tinkerhouse. And, you never responded to my support email a couple months ago...

I bought this game after completing (and LOVING) Cthulhu Saves the World on my Nexus 7. The game is great, it almost plays as a spiritual successor to Cthulhu. Hilarious writing, a fun class system, and all the trappings of an excellent 16-bit era RPG. The only complaint I have is with the control scheme, it's very inconsistent. Some portions of the game use a D-pad and others are 100% touch. I wish that everything, especially battles, had the option of using a D-pad as the touch controls are very awkward and slow on a tablet. Great game, but please add a D-pad to battles!

J70%
by J####:

Absolutely a fun game. It has s good, albeit rather simplistic, class system, and it's great to pick up for a few hilarious battles here and there. If you're a PA fan, then you'll enjoy this. Unfortunately, it wasn't ported to Android very well, and you'll lose your progress of your phone falls asleep or if you get a phone call. It also doesn't seem to have a good way to exit. Definitely five stars if those technical issues are addressed.

The game is cool, entertaining and witty. They do give homage to Dragon Warrior which is neat. Basically, the game "closes" if you do something else or you leave it idle. I don't know about crashing in game. Sometimes when i start it, i get the Android "did not start properly" message. I get that periodically for any program. You are allowed to save at anytime outside of the battle screen. You also get 4 save points. I just save after each battle...it's not difficult. You also regain all health after each battle and the game doesn't seem to penalize you for dying. The controls are weird, but you always see the enemy on screen. Only in the Dragon Warrior area do they appear randomly. So i don't really care if i hit a wall or not. They give you a run button if you want to move faster. Worth the $3? ...yep!

U70%

Extremely amusing and very FFIII like, but infuriating virtual D pad. 50% of the time will crash on startup, and interface glitches abound. Great writing, good artwork, poor coding.

N70%
by N####:

Old 'skool' (the 'k' is delibaerate, sorry) rpg, fun combat, fun, if silly story, fails to take itself seriously on any level. Great fun, excellent value for money.

U70%
by U####:

I was initially doubtful about the old-school look of this game but it works well on the small screen and gives lots of opportunities for varied environments and enemies. The game play is fun and accessible with clever strategic twists and a great script knowing, funny and smart by turns. I always enjoy Jerry Holkins' writing and this is a venue that suits it well.

U70%
by U####:

Insanely complex strategy elements, ridiculously convoluted story, and a partially retarded sidekick. What's not to love?

This is not app store trash, but a quality title by good people. Android version delivers. Would have liked some controller support but never mind. Gave the OUYA controller a try but the game choked on having a bluetooth device and crashed a lot. Works fine without it though!

U70%
by U####:

This is a great homage to classic console RPGs like Chrono Trigger, and the art and writing is top-notch. The only negative is the user interface. D-pads just don't work very well on touchscreens. Should have some sort of tap-to-move system in place. Also, information isn't very well presented, and selection buttons are too small. However, I'm really enjoying it despite the clunky interface. Highly recommended to RPG and PA fans.

by U####:

While the witty jokes and gameplay overall was very fun,I actually quit playing this game because if my phone ever went dark from sitting idle or if I turn off the screen it instantly shuts off the game without even saving. After the 10th time of this happening to me,I gave up. I have a two week old baby and unfortunately can't tend to my baby and babysit this game too. Also I know this has already been mentioned, but the D pad is absolute garbage. If these are somehow fixed, this game gets 5 stars from me.

Everyone keeps mentioning load crashing, was I the only one to read the little notification that told you keep your phone on during the install? Granted the D-Pad can be somewhat frustrating at times although definitely less so than most of the other android games I've played that use a similar control system and a lot of the time you don't have to use it at all The game is turn based and enemies just sit on the Overworld map, Its not as if you need to dodge or out maneuver the beasts. Otherwise the writing is fun, the characters are great and the story was an actual story.
