Torstan Defense is a Puzzle Tower Defense with a game idea different from normal tower defense games.
What's Puzzle Tower Defense ?
It's not like a normal tower defense(like robo defense or radiant defense) where you build a maze to protect yourself from incoming waves. It’s a little mix of those games and games like Plants vs Zombies.
Your target is to defend your base from the attackers before they are destroying your wall and enter your base. You need to combine towers to get even stronger ones. Enemies try to reach you from five different lanes, but you can only build three towers per lane! So tower combination kicks in.
The story mode can be played through from easy to hard. It is told with a nice little story. For those players looking for an extra challenge there is the hell mode available after solving the game on hard. And it is really not easy!!
There is also a survival mode, where you have to survive the incoming waves of enemies, which are growing in strength. A local highscore saves your best times to compare to your friends!
As a bonus there are many achievements to be solved.
There are 8 towers available through the story mode: Standard Tower, Arctic Tower, Flame Tower, Ground Tower, Hurricane Tower, Stun Tower, Teleport Tower and Percent Tower.
8 towers may be combined by two normal towers: Blizzard Tower, Stone Tower, Tnecrep Tower, Firestorm Tower, Lightning Tower, Frost Tower, Earthquake Tower and Poison Tower.
4 towers may be combined by three normal towers: Clear Tower, Shockfrost Tower, One Shot Tower and Cube Tower.

Played level nine twenty or so times. I can't even imagine what it was like before you "fixed" it. I tried every combination of towers, queued the builds and rapid tapped to shave every quarter second. If it is possible; it is not fun.

updates have fixed all problems. this is a wonderful game, well thought out & very well designed. deserves more than 5 stars. most defence games are pretty mindless or dull and have boring money grabbing coin systems. this one is free, minimal adverts& will have thinking&trying out different tactics. try it it rocks!

The lag makes many levels impossible to win. I AM stuck on level 11 because of the lag and the low starting gold.

Another impossible to beat game. Storymode level 9 is ridiculous. It will make you rage quit and not wanna play it. A challenging game is one thing but i wont sit there and waste my time with something impossible.

Unplayable due to interface lag. It takes up to 5 seconds for the build menu to popup, while the monsters still walk normally to the wall. Playing on a Xperia X8 with Android 2.1

An interesting twist on the world of defense games, but not entirely original either. I appreciate 1 thing, & that is the lack of a money grabbing coin system. That said there are still impossible levels(21). The tower build limits and starting funds are laughable. Especially once you unlock more advanced towers. Every enemy should drop gold or enough of it should be dropped. There are certain combinations that I believe should have been a given but do not exist. I'm a fan of storyline but wasn't captivated
