Lifeline: Whiteout for Android
We need a whiteout 2! This is a story that I feel can't end with just that, and we need a continuation. Now I know the game is a choose your own adventure, and it's about two people communicating through radios and whatnot, but if we can have a second game where Adams meets the player, I'd pay to get the game on the spot. I don't think any game has ever legitimately choked me up at the end, but this game had me in tears. Keep it up!
I've only played Lifeline 2 before, and how Arika keeps calling my name got me attached to her and kept me interested with her story. This however, took that from me. I don't sense the overall closeness from Adams as much as from Arika, despite being called his friend. But, I still love it. Great story, great mystery. I'd love to meet with Adams again and have him called me instead of just "friend" or "you".
Great gane to introduce people to the lifeline series. Really great game for gamers like me who like a good story. I couldnt wait to see what the character was going to say, do or what was gonna happen next. There is a "fast mode" option to eliminate the wait, but i would not reccomend using it because it breaks the immersion. Im buying n downloading the other games after beating this one.
I played the original version of Lifeline, so when I found this one at only $.10 I had to have it. I really enjoy the play style as I'm normally busy and I can just pick it up read a little make a few decisions and Adams is busy on his way again while I get back to whatever I was doing. I get connected with the characters just like in any other story and I'm sad when the games end. I'm glad there are a few new versions out now :)
Text based games don't come any better. There's something great about reading a book; you get to use your imagination to create every scenario and that makes the experience very personal. Same goes for this. Very interesting story and will keep you invested until the very end.
Beautifully made! Lots of suspense and fair times between talks! Amazingly crafted story that has left me with a for end I will never meet! Only issue is that this one is a tad short for the money paid so maybe a second game free to those who purchased this is in order ;)
I'm already paying for the game so why do you need me to view ads. It's an awesome game though, very good read, and a fun and interesting style. Also having it set to individual notifications had me getting a notification every second and I couldn't read them before the next five popped up, and collapsed the entire notification thread.
I love all your lifeline series, I've played all of the games except the crisis line. However, even though the game itself is very mesmerising, I'd like to experience how it'd feel if we were to hear the characters talking. Is there any way you can get somebody to dub as the voices of the characters?
I picked this up on sale for 10 cents but let me tell you it's worth a LOT more. The story is amazing and really makes you feel like you're talking to a real person. I ended up a lot of the time anxiously waiting for another message. This is an experience worth any price.
Come back to check on Adams and.. Did this app just serve me a full screen ad promoting another Lifeline title? Yeah it did. Once more and we're no longer friends. I don't remember any ads in the three other Lifeline titles I own. Otherwise another great 3 Minute title with a unique story, enjoying it as much as Taylor on the moon. Dropping stars for every ad served.
so I played the original lifeline. I LOVED it. I really enjoyed the story with Taylor on a moon. Whiteout hit it straight out of the ballpark again. I love the winter setting, I'm Canadian, and also I LOVE adam. I felt a special bond between him. The ending, I got the got one second try, is amazing and it leaves room for more books about adam. I hope you bring adam Back. He deserves just as much time as Taylor did. Can't wait to play the others!
Great story. Great submersive music. Great delivery. You can select wether to use Real Time communication or Fast. RT definitely gives you the experience it needs. Waiting for a reply really adds suspense. A necessity for this genre in my opinion. I'd love to see Eipix & 3 Minute Games create an audio equivalent. Perhaps using veteran voice actors, such as Nolan North & Richard McGonagle (Uncharted series).
Great game play, totally got me going for the 3 days I've been playing. Would like it better if I didnt pay 199 for a decent game for it to end. Will be going back to change things and see how it goes, but wish it continued instead of having to redo the entire story. Or pay more money for another version... The only downfall.
Amidst all CYOA games that are suddenly emerging in the market, the Lifeline series continues to stand out while keeping its trademark style. No CYOA game I have played has given me the same amount of concern over the character, intrigue about the plot, and feeling of satisfaction and sadness to see the end as a Lifeline game had. Kudos to the developers of this series, you guys are incredible!
Loved it, it was fun and engaging - and I genuinely cared what happened to Adams, some of the twists were a little ready to work out, but I wouldn't hold that against it,there were still surprises in it. The consequences of your choices really do feel like they carry through and pay dividends.
I have a love-hate relationship with the whole Lifeline series. The format and storytelling are great. I love the characters. However, as a search and rescue operator with a technical background besides, I find it hard to maintain immersion in the stories. Both the terrestrial and space adventures are filled with a facepalmy number of technical inaccuracies, and the advice available to give is often only things that I know are wrong. I wish the authors would consult with some survival experts.
More of a series I loved. The only possible gripe I could think of is that sometimes when the notification arrives and I open the app, there's no update. But if I close it and open up again it works just fine. Great story, well worth the 2 euros I payed for it.
I really enjoyed the story line you created here and the way it played out out. I really did not expect it to keep my attention day and night (even at work, shhh). It does make you think though, we are not really that far off technologically in doing just that. Not in my lifetime, but maybe your's...
One of the best games I have ever played.. It keeps you on edge always wondering when you will get a notification.. The depth and immersion of this game are undeniable! You feel as if your living every second right there along with the main character!
Pretty much on par with the rest of them except this time it's a bit more grounded. Story got hammy as all hell towards the end, so nothing new there. Felt very easy compared to other entries though, especially crisis line, that ones an absolute devil, and not in a good way. I wish the character was female though, something doesn't sit right with me when I'm making all of some blokes decisions for him. Good game though, 7 out of 10
The game is very fun and quite addicting. The storyline is amazing and I love how many endings there are. In spite of being annoying to wait for Adams to complete the many tasks, it is a great way of keeping you on the edge of your seat! Overall the game is great fun and I just can't get enough of it!
I managed to kill him off twice but third time was the charm and we made it! I like how you can go back to certain chapters instead of the beginning of the game after a failed decision. Interesting concept towards the end. So far I've enjoyed all Lifeline stories! On to the next one! Good job developers!
Very enjoyable. Reminiscent of old school choose your adventure books. I enjoy the timing aspect. Fun times. No in app purchases though and weirdly, apps for the other games, but I guess why not.. then again, there must be more subtle ways of handling that too..
Having played the previous Lifelines, I'm glad to say that the writing /is/ improving. And while I liked the general premise in Lifeline 2 more, I enjoyed this ending reveal better. However, the protagonist still sounds exactly the same as previous ones, only w/o pop culture references. And this same-y-ness ultimately detracted from the plotting and made the ending reveal seemed more contrived than brilliant. The villain's reasoning also seems dubious--there's many other ways to achieve his goals w/o Adams.
I had a great time with this one. It really works hard to make the story come alive by parsing it out into small discrete sections. I found this a bit distracting, but it did make the game a bit more immersive. A really good choice for people who are into this sort of interactive novel.
I dislike that this game is "real time", so you spend a couple of minutes reading and interacting, then you have to wait a long time before you can continue. Halfway through, I discovered that this could be changed. I wish that this option had been better explained at the start.
There's no style, no wit, no realism to this story. Story changes at its own pace with random plot devices. You only answer questions for a guy that can't use his own judgement for something as simple as "left or right" when you could have easily been asked "open it or don't open it." I'd be more interesting if your character could die multiple ways.
This game is so fun I really felt a connection to Addams. These games all of the ones I've played have all been such a great experience I will be buying all of the games in this series just to see how they all end. Thank you for this wonderful game.
Really good honestly. I sometimes lost myself in the moment and actually forgot I was just playing a game. I even looked stuff up to make sure the character would be safe haha. Seriously one of the best phone games ever! Wish I could give more than five stars
Ok. The game is great. I'll say that, but insisting on ads in a paid game is ridiculous. I wouldn't mind paying more for an add free verdion, but the fact that I bought the game and there were still ads is ridiculous. The game is fun, but the dev, apparently, is so greedy that they cannot resist revenue and so taint their otherwise worthy game. Recommended game. Not recommended dev.
I really loved the game so would like to first say thank you. If I was to give any constructive feedback though it would be to say that in the beginning I felt that the messages were coming in too fast which kind of takes away from the enjoyment and suspense that the original had. Just slow down the message speed. Other than that, excellent job!
Thought provoking and intelligent story with protagonist Adams. Interactive like a video game, great option to reading a book. Only issue is waiting for Adams to respond. I don't want to be a spoiler, but you really find yourself getting attached and developing a bond.
This game made me use my imagination a lot just like reading a book. Thinking of every possibility and action was fenomenal. I was looking forward to when Adams was busy and I worried for him at several points. 10/10 on my book.
4 stars because at certain points it just continues forward and you cannot do anything about the option you've not chosen. For instance, if you choose to check if there's someone outside rather than read the documents at that moment, you can't just go back and read the documents or take them with you and read later, which is a bit annoying.
The story was very intriguing, the gameplay is cool, but it should be possible to enable fast mode from the beginning. Great experience. For 0.10€ it was a steal. I'm considering buying other titles for the full price. Four stars because the fullscreen ads. Still recommended.
This games features a great standalone story with a slow build and great pacing. It's the most immersive edition of the series since the original. The mystery is revealed bit by bit as you make decisions. There are a few places where the story feels forced and your suggestions are ignored, but generally you feel in control. Adams feels a little less alive than Taylor (from the original) but is still a great character that you'll be happy to chat with. This game would be a great entry point into the series.
I enjoyed the way you pick up and read for a bit, make a decision then drop out for while. Although I don't feel the story ended well or fitted with the choices I wanted to make. It seemed like this was the ending no matter what I said which made the experience feel hollow and my time with the game a bit worthless overall unfortunately.
Have you ever played seen? If you have you know how it feels. If you haven't it is like an emotional roller coaster. Don't know which is right or wrong, you don't wanna get your person hurt, or, worse. But at the end you get a look at things in another perspective and point view. Thanks for reading.
This is one of the best games I have ever played. The story is better than any book I've ever read. The fact that you receive a transmission from a random stranger who is stuck in a frozen wasteland and you get to help him choose his path and actions and help him decide between right and wrong is mind blowing. It's like a choose your own adventure book but wayyyyyyy better. 100 outta five stars. #teammachine

I really enjoyed the game I hope there will be a part 2 the story is so immursive making it seem like your decision is effecting the plot. You later come to understand why the character rely so heaviely on you. The plot has twists you won't see coming. The game has a good length if you don't us fast mode to skip through the waiting. But as with all of thiese types of games you wish it was longer. That's all I have to say about this app.
