Lifeline: Crisis Line for Android
I absolutely loved this Lifeline game!!! I didn't think I would enjoy any game more than the first Taylor one. But the sense of connection with Alex is even more and the length is awesome it's much longer than the other games. The wait times made a lot of sense like when Alex was sleeping. I was legitimately worried about him after the bird part when I didn't hear from him for ages. Also you must play the other games first to get the true effect of this one with the references to Arika & Tunguskite & Green
This is one of the more interesting entries in the series from a plot perspective. It takes the story to new places and expands on the mythology quite a bit. I like that it adds in a few puzzles too. However, it also strains the format of the game. It's hard to believe that a cop would actually be chatting about a case to some random internet person. The ending is also extremely abrupt but will presumably expand to new chapters. Overall, this is a fun experience but not as immersive as the original.
I love this! Great story line and characters, I had to play in fast mode because I was so excited to see what would happen next. I especially loved the inclusion of photos/music/facts that I could look up myself. If I could change one thing it would be the speed at which the texts come when you're getting a string of them, but it's not a big deal. I have played most of these and intend to play anything you put out. I haven't had any of the problems I read about in the reviews. Great job!
I am a huge fan of all of the Lifeline games. They're all so well written and I especially liked how connected I felt to the character in this one. It said I did as well as I good which means I win but ... you have to hurry up and release the next one! Alex! My only complaint is that the app kept crashing a bunch towards the end. Otherwise, bravo. Loved it.
This really used the Lifeline format well! I enjoyed the story, the use of the setting, and anytime I needed to/was encouraged to Google something. I also stressed out more over the choices I had to make here than I have in other installments--the stakes felt really high. This felt brilliantly interactive--I really enjoyed the feeling of helping Alex on his case!
Guys, you are really getting good at spinning an interactive yarn! This was an amazing Lifeline! I wasn't such a fan of whiteout, but this really restored my appreciation for the series! Love the combination of crime procedural, it fitted well. Looking forward to a sequel? Thank you for combining a fiction novel with nail-biting choices!!! I was really torn with some of these!
I live these games they are great fun and this one was no exception. My favourite game has to be the original,i loved the fact that Taylor was stranded all alone with no one else to communicate with. That made the experience more realistic. However this game was still a great game, and boy was it a lot more frustrating! You make one false choice, no matter how small and insignificant it seems would get Alex killed and you'd have rewind the story and start again. Great game, I can't wait for the next one.
I have the current version of the app and it was working fine up until yesterday (10/26/16). Now I have a black screen. Funnily enough, it happened when I got the email announcing the new game. I like this game a lot, but now I can't play! I think I was close to the end, too. :( //// Update (10/30/16): I reinstalled it on my phone and it reset the whole thing. Sigh.
Not sure if i am playing this game right? Tried redoing story 3 times...finally got to a point where Alex is busy. Hoping i will be able to continue. First 2 times i was given 3 options, Rate, Rewind or more Lifeline at end of chapter....not any option to continue this story. Very unique style for sure. Fingers crossed.
This is really disappointing. Before they started patching around it was a fun little new entry in the series. The patches reset progress, and now I cannot play because somewhere around returning to the crime scene, the game will just start showing an empty screen with no text. That one worked, at least. Update: Talked to support, offered refund. Alright, sad they don't just give out the 1.0 APK because that actually worked. This is on a Nexus 5X, btw.
So, texts come in a bit to fast and they often move off screen before I finish. Normally I'd just scroll up to read it but new texts jerked me back down so that I'd have to wait for Alex to be busy or until a decision point for me to catch up. I ended up playing in fast mode because I'd rather get it over with and sacrifice timing. I don't remember past games having that issue. Otherwise, it was pretty cool with the tie-ins to past games. I wish I could take notes in game to better answer questions though.
I love all the lifeline games, and this one's no different. I've just finished it, and it's amazing. All the stories are coming together. The only concern I have is that I'm a slow reader and when Alex is talking the screen jumps down to the bottom before I finish reading what's up top.
Well, I finally made it to the end after killing our hero many times! I thought I would never finish it. Good job, but I can't figure out how Alex manages to type all that and do other things! The concept would be more believable if he was actually "talking" to me instead of typing. Had trouble with the notifications and the speed of the typing. Other than that no problems.
I ADORE ALEX!~ And the plot & game as a whole! I also have had technical difficulties. Especially trying to scroll all the way to the top again crashes the game consistently & rewind to start doesn't work. And the "prevent screen from sleeping" doesn't work. PLEASE HAVE A SEQUEL? I love this game so much!!!
I've enjoyed the other titles and at first I liked this one and it has become boring. It seems to drag on and it feels like the game is trying to turn Austin into a product placement. At this point I'm just trying to get through it so I can move on to Infinity.
The text is so fast it keeps me from enjoying the game. After six or seven bubbles I'm just lost because there is no animation, what I'm reading just pops up from a random height at a random time interval. Really annoying and I really want to enjoy the game. If at least we could slow the text down.
I love the format of these games. The story is interesting and fun to follow through, although it feels a bit rushed by the end (tho with the way they keep connecting all the stories, i wouldn't worry about it too much). I'd give it a 5 star rating if it weren't for the repeated crashes when trying to use the settings.
Crashed halfway through after days of progress to a blank screen. Seemingly lost all progress. Clearly from the reviews here it's not ready for release & I expect far more than this for an almost £3 game.
I love lifeline but this is now unplayable because of the blank screen and resetting issue. Its horrible to say but its preventing me buying anymore of your games. Please help me.
Lifeline was a great start. Silent Night was good but brief. Lifeline 2 introduced some interesting new mechanics, especially alternate endings, but was less polished than the precursors, with some story loops and weird pacing. This one feels like 3 Minute Games is mastering the format, with good characters, many story options, and a rich interface. Looking forward to more!
Story always leads to termination no matter what my answer. Didn't care for it t all. Tired of rewinding . Finished! Edited my rating. After giving it a rest & then going back I was able to advance. Ending up enjoying it. Hope to see sequels in the future if the price doesn't keep going up.
Have a Nexus 5x and twice, I've gotten to a point in the game where Helpbot just gives me a blank screen. Can't do anything. I just want to actually finish what was a fun story.
These are fun. Really. They're like...little treats all day long to break up the monotony of the work day. The ONLY thing that could make them better is if they installed onto the SD card (completely, not like the apps that SAY they do but nothing actually transfers to the card). Maybe 3 Minute games could think about that for the next update?
Great mystery, wonderful protagonist, the decisions feel legit and have real repercussions. Good story. Lovely descriptions of Austin. The police procedures are pretty laughable, as one would expect.
Biggest overlook so far: Alex says he has no signal in the forest... So how is he talking to me over data? This game just doesn't seem to have the same logical thoughtfulness as Lifeline 1.
Same old same, these aren't getting any better, the first one was the best and now it's just full of stupid pop culture references and pointless awkward jokes. It's too bad it took this long for it to start, because now I can't get a refund.
Oops i put it all in the other thing
the game crashed several times, gave me the blank screen, even after the update. - i am now trying to rewind the story to start it again and it will not give me the option to do this. annoyed!!!
Frustrated that if I die my most recent rewind place holder is all the way back to talking to Pearson. Very frustrating to have to play that ALL again to get back to where I was
2nd favourite Lifeline so far. It's a supernatural detective story. No glitches or anything anymore. It's sad this is the lowest-rated Lifeline on the Play Store, since Crisis Line is honestly better than the Taylor sequels.
I have played all games by you guys I love them all. This one I've been pkaying for a while now and still haven't finished the story. I keep having to rewind it. Its definitely a hard one but my favorite thus far.edit: all the new updates and constantly losing ny progress is not cool
Not going to bother again until this is done patching in a few months I think. First update reset my progress and have me an unfixable blank screen bug, second patch now reset it right away again. Great. Really fun, the first few lines of this story... (edit) and the second update ends in a blank screen a few questions in, too. Just like the first update. (edit) Blank screen issue yet again. I don't think this game was released ready for Primetime.
Update: now my progress is freezing on a blue screen where none of the text comes up. This game wasn't ready.: I'm sorry. I really enjoy these games. But this is going on the back burner until you figure this stuff out. Two updates in a week that both reset days of progress. What I played was delightful and engaging, but this is beyond frustrating.
story:beautiful. the app itself?? I seriously do not understand why an update erased all my saved game. twice. this has happened twice. why this is a problem now but never with the previous games is really kinda ticking me off. like I rly dont wanna go through all that stuff again to get to where I was. and now I have to. kinda ridiculous
I think this story might be one of my favorites so far...sucks I can't finish it. :( It keeps resetting a bunch! I believe I made it REALLY far...and this is the second time it's happened. I wanna finish this so badly...
Love this series, but I haven't even gotten very far and every update kills all my progress and it's really aggravating me. Would have been a 5 star otherwise.
I haven't made it all the way through yet but I swear I'm getting chills. This one's for the true lifeline fans. The person who's done them all. It's tying everything together and I'm getting chills. Been dealing with the green eyes and now they just mentioned Arika. OMG. Can't wait to see where this goes!!! Update: I can't give these guys a low rating out of my love for the series but this app has serious bug issues. My experience is the same as the rest but I made it through.
Interesting storyline but you fall back too much in time when Alex dies, making you redo the same scenes too often. Latest update erased my progress so I need to start over entirely. Could be better.
I've purchased and played every one of your games and they usually get 5 stars. This story line had been good, but I was unable to complete because you reset my progress with each update - I'm not interested wasting days replaying the same story line over and over - too bad the updates weren't tested before being pushed out to paying members...

Every time I finish a game I think you can't top that, but you always do! So far this is my favourite part. The music is perfect, the storyline in perfect, the characters are complex, Alex is awesome! The games are getting longer and more and more interactive, I hope you continue down this path. There were a few times when making a choice based on logic was not possible (run, you have to run vs. please run...) but not nearly as many as in the previous game. I looooved the references to the previous games, and was extatic that I could indicate my knowledge about them to Alex! I really cared about him and became quite emotional at the end, please bring him back!
