Lifeline 2 for Android
I loved it so much! I actually got attached to the character, which is something that usually won't happen with me! I haven't played lifeline 1 yet, but I am planning to, seeing how good this game was! By the way, when it said "you haven't seen the last of arika," I got really excited! Hope to see her in another game! And maybe she could remember who you were, so we could continue, and there wouldn't have to be a whole nother introduction...remember what happened in last game as well? That would be awesome!
None of the coices feel like they matter. Most are like what happened / are you ok. That's no choice at all. Reptition of same dialog after all miniquests. Some dialog details appear in wrong places - they reference the wrong minquest since they're the same for all three. Dont have it in me to even replay to find out what happens if i fail some of them.
This is the best of the lifeline games so far! The story and main character are engaging. There are some inconsistencies in the story, but not enough to drop my rating to less than 5 stars. I would love to see more detailed reactions to the choices made, and interactions that remember some previous choices (did I walk last time, I've already warped and wefted so don't need the explanation of it every time, etc.). But I really enjoy the story overall, and am looking forward to the next installment!
Story was boring with a lot of useless talks, my character was not even important with those few responses, I was just waiting for the end. If you are planning to do the next part please use the full potential of both characters.
Nice interactive story but the fact that some choices that recur throughout the story always lead to death kind of ruins the suspense and replay value. Not as challenging as the first one... More linear and easier to figure out.
the ending seemed like they had a deadline and it was coming fast. I did notice a spelling error in the line "I've got too much of a nervous stomach to eay anything, anyhow"
The lifeline stories get better and better. They never disappoint, and they're definitely worth the few dollars it costs to download them. I hope one day that the lifeline developers will create a story that's as long as a novel (a couple hundred pages). I would gladly pay $10 or $15 for a CYOA story that long. Congratulations on another awesome app! Keep them coming and I'll keep buying them and rating them 5 stars because you definitely deserve it!
The storyline is alot longer than the first one which is the main improvement I see but I feel the story line is very dull and I can feel a connection with arika at at. I fell like the messages were coming too fast. I would have to play for 15 to 20 mins at time untill she would go off searching. I likes the first one better where you select a choice and get notified hours later. It created suspense. With this I feel like I was over whelmed with dialogue. Over all still pretty good.

I really liked the first lifeline game for the risk factor. There was much more knowledge and Google lookups needed to stay alive. This game, lifeline 2, had a much more interactive story, however I didn't feel as influential as I did in game 1. I love these games but want to see a harder path of dicisions. In this game sometimes the choices you make DONT alter the story and if they do, they are obvious what should be done. Also, the way Arina is randomly saved in the story is confusing. It made me feel like I had no influence.
With a PERFECT five*star start to the series, "Lifeline", Lifeline2 had a lot of expectations to live up to. I can confidently say that Lifeline2 was almost perfect. The dialogue had wittiness on par with the first in the series, BUT there was noticeable repetition. The character had personality, but she wasn't as relatable of a character as the protagonist of Lifeline. The story had more depth than the game before, however, and that is an incredible feat to accomplish! All in all I would highly recommend!!
I am really enjoying Lifeline 2 so far, which I started only recently after completing the first a couple of months ago. However, too frequently not to make note of, Arika is tripping up. Repeating past lines. Sleeping in non existent places or abandoned vehicles, presumably from other time lines. It takes a fair amount away from the experience of it's predecessor and the plot does not seem as open either. It could use some improvement, but overall it's worth the $1.28 :)
I cannot praise the Lifeline games enough. They have some of the best storytelling you'll ever find in mobile games. Probably THE best storytelling. This one was no different. You still have the feeling you met and helped someone through a time of great need. Like your decisions actually helped someone. Lifeline games are always worth the asking price.
Yet again a gripping, unique story. Kept me coming back to my phone to see if anything new happened. Kept pulling at them heart-strings. Excellent experience. Wish there was a bit more though. Not as "in depth" as it could have been. Needs a bit more charactor development. Nevertheless, a recommended play for anybody a fan of the the game style. Well done. Keep 'em coming! Starting #3 right meow.
I almost never play any form of video games. I gave the first Lifeline a shot and haven't stopped since. Every game they come out with is amazing. I feel connected to the characters. I find myself waiting for a notification from the game like I would a new girlfriend's text message. It's tantamount to a relationship. I love love love these games. Taylor, Akira and now Adams forever!!!!

I like the CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE vibe this game has, to which prompted me to purchase the app. 1st 10 mins is pretty good. However, i had sent Arika to search for a car and as of writing, i think it froze on me for more than 10mins now. Is this part of the game where i have to wait for few hours or is it a bug?
Really enjoyed the second lifeline game. Loved the humour. Loved the drama and terror. I was thinking about, how you could make it more realistic for the player... Like taking one of my pictures on my device, or calling/txting my device when doom approaches... Don't know about permissions. But might make it more fun. . Keep making the games. . Cheers
I thoroughly enjoyed playing this game. The story developed nicely and I felt disconnected when age would go quiet. So, overall it was quite fun. My only real complaint is the lack of variety in the travel options. I had the same exact conversation on how to travel between two of my quests. Word for word it was the same, which kind of run the experience.
A lot if the online review for Lifeline 2 said it wasn't as good as the first game. THEY WERE ALL WRONG! Lifeline 2 is the best of the 3 that I have played in the lifeline series. I just hope there's a continuation of Arika's story like there was for Taylor. Brilliant game and well worth buying and playing.
Well I haven't completed the story yet bit so far I don't find the story quite as engaging as lifeline nor to i find myself as emotionally attached to Arika as I did Taylor. It's not a bad story but I feel like it could use much improvement it does kinda repeat itself like with her mode of transportation for example. With that said I do recommend it.
I played the first Lifeline and got hooked. I played the "expansion" and stayed hooked. Now I'm playing the second and enjoying every minute. The writing style is similar, which is exactly what I was hoping for. I hope Lifeline sees a long career with many new games and some interesting Innovations along the way.
I really loved the original Lifeline and was excited to see the sequel. However, this one feels much more like reading a story while occasionally clicking unrelated buttons than a game. I wasn't at all emotionally attached to Arika, and didn't really find the story that compelling. Mechanically, the game works fine. No crashes, everything ran as expected until the end, which honestly I was glad to see come.
Um, Arika is talking about a monk appearing "again" but I've never encountered one before. Need better. QA maybe? Also, Arika is less charming than Taylor, and I'm not totally sure why she's gendered but Taylor wasn't...I liked the ambiguity better since we could fill in more ourselves
I found it unbelievable that a 19 year old girl would use cultural references that myself, being a 33 year old, would consider only for 30+ year old hipsters. I know this was written by a grown man (who is very talented IMO) but since the protagonist is a 19 year old girl, it stretches believability - even in a fantasy. I think that's a difficult character to write as a man born in the 70's/80's. It's a decent story but I was disappointed in the overall interaction between myself and the character.
As far as choose-your-own-adventure stories go, this is one of my favorites. The writing is great, it adds a lot of tension before making both minor and major choices. Plus, the banter is really clever and fun to read. I'm a big fan of this work and I'll continue to buy into the franchise in the future.
I really love these adventures, they are well written and uniquely told. You'll enjoy the length of the story while playing but if you accidentally rewind to the wrong point you will be cursed to lose hours of your life. For the love of god why aren't the rewind options in order!? In a sleepless haze, I choose poorly now I'll never know how the greens got to earth despite Taylor's sacrifice. Please allow readers to choose the section in fast forward mode.
I 'was' really enjoying Lifeline 2. There is an atmospheric storyline with good pace. It is easy to pick up and carry on in those few minutes you have spare during your day. The ability to play from notifications is also great. Unfortunately, at almost the end, my whole story was wiped out because I bought a Smartwatch. I was looking forward to being able to play via the watch but it appears that it wipes the progress when it syncs. This means I haven't played it since.
I loved the fact that it was longer than the previous ones! Great story too as usual! What I didn't like was the parts with the walking to places that were exactly the same script with the same options and answers. Also too many pop references. We who don't live in the U.S. or I don't know, G. B., find them very difficult to follow. Keep up the good work!
This new character Arika reads identical to Taylor, same personality although different situation with magic elements versus the outer space theme in the previous lifeline. In dire situations most people would not devote as much time as Arika and Taylor did at making puns and pop culture references, the latter of which I did not often get. I would not have minded a more serious tone. I was really hoping Lifeline 2 would offer a fresh perspective from a new character but it just feels like Taylor 2.0.
I personally enjoyed Arika's story more than Taylor's, but there were definitely still issues. {Minor spoilers!} While I found the choices more versatile and less linear than the previous games', the ending reveal felt like a cop-out. It was just a rehash of the other storyline. I'm sure it's all leading up to some parallel universe deal, but it still didn't feel like good payoff for the buildup. Also, Arika and Taylor sound exactly the same. Diversify your voices & cool it with the references!
Not a huge amount of options to guide your 'companion' but there are enough pitfalls to make the game interesting. The music certainly adds to the creepiness and may well make the game unsuitable for very young children (but then again, lots of kids like to be scared in a harmless, ghost story way).
Lifeline 2 surpasses the also excellent Lifeline 1. The story is very compelling and draws you on, and you form a real connection with the main character Arika. The time lapse mechanic is once again welcome adding a real sense of pace and place. Only criticism is that the game ends too abruptly.
Definitely a miss for me. Not my taste in humor, too much pointless rambling and a deluge of cultural references that will ultimately hold this back in the long run. Half the time when you actually get to interact, both choices feel identical.
Just wanted to thank the game developer. This game was such a roller coaster of emotions, 10/10 I'll be buying your future "stories" as well. Always keeps me on the edge of my seat, and always feel connected to the main character.
This was a great story. You find yourself immersed in it and very quickly form a connection with Arika. The story is personal and really pulls at your emotions from the beginning to the end. Multiple times I had chills, my eyes watered, and I was genuinely nervous about making choices. Bravo! Can't wait for more!
I loved this. So unique. Intimate and real feeling. I genuinely feel sad now that she left. It said "You have not see the last of Arika Lanphear" I reaaaaaally hope to see her again in a new one. (: amazing. Time to play the next lifeline
The game was good all the way through but the end left soo much to be desired. If it as the end said that there is in fact another story I'm fine with it but if there's isn't I'm so disappointed. For anyone who's looking to get this I couldn't recommend this enough.

Firstly, in my opinion, this isn't as good as the first game. I didn't feel engaged at all with Arika until I got to the last couple of days. The final part of the game went some way to make the game better, I just thought it went on a bit too long. The pace of the first game was much better, but hey, the game was still good, I did enjoy it. Onto the next one now for me. Keep up the good work writers!
