Edwin the Duck

I like the songs and the books. The thing I hate is that every time you open the app it wants you to reconnect and goes through the tutorial EVERY TIME. And it takes way too long to find Edwin every time. I think it should remember Edwin instead of having to find him every single time. Super annoying.

It won't connect. Edwin is useless without an Apple device. The iOS version works seamlessly. The Android app is glitchy even when I just open it on my phone (audio cutting in and out).

Super limited, annoying to navigate app, in which I can't even control the volume on my phone? Apparently iPhone app is a ton better which I find really disappointing. When will Android get an update?

This seems like it would be great but I got very frustrated looking for the content in the app. No wonder why! Only after reading the reviews do I learn all of the good content for Edwin can only be found on iOS devices. LAME! I will be returning Edwin tomorrow. If you can't release the product with the same content on both platforms then don't advertise it like it's equal. You should be ashamed of yourselves for charging what you do for this product and not having all features available on Android.

I just got a Pixel 2 XL and the app won't connect anymore. It worked perfectly with my Samsung. I'm super bummed I can't get it work anymore :(

Its an alright toy but sucks as a bath toy whoever created this could of made all the sounds come out the duck, so children dont pout because they want to hold the phone. And it should let me play kid songs from youtube or something else because the very few on it get annoying fast

Where do I start? First, the app frequently disconnects from the duck. When I am about to put my daughter down for bed I have to go through the sync process, which is now a nightmare. The guy yells connection instructions with no ability to control any of the volume because the app disables phone media control. Needless to say, my daughter becomes wide awake after this so we no longer use Edwin for sleeping. Next, it only has two songs. Two. Like really? Two. So many more problems I can't type them all here

This expensive duck is useless! Trying to connect the duck to tablet and can't get passed tapping the wing to make him wave. After we tap his wing the app resets and has to reconnect. Completely useless and upsets my daughter who badly wants to play with it.

It's a broken app. Judging by the comments, it's been broken for years. Taking it back for a full refund.

Like others, firmware update never finishes. Renders app unusable.

There are virtually no features for an android device. Highly disappointing!

Download the other 2 apps and you have everything iOS has. Edwin for parents, and edwin preschool

The tutorial starts every time with sound even though the sound is off on my phone. Doesn't have much content our songs. Please update app

Can't connect using BTLE for interactive functionality. I can connect using Bluetooth, so it's a $100 duck shaped Bluetooth speaker.

I work as a mobile device technician across Android and iOS platforms. When I tested it out on my iOS devices Edwin worked seamlessly. My Android devices had the error message "Can't communicate with Edwin E47E". This toy is great with iOS devices but I highly suggest not buying it if you rely on Android devices. The toy itself my 1 year old daughter loves. It is teething friendly. The storytime is cute. Songs are cute but still an earworm... Nightlight has 3 light settings. Different song tunes for sleep and a song timer which is great. Can control from iPad from anywhere in the house (even the basement) thanks to Bluetooth. ***Only thing about the Bluetooth, careful what else is paired in the home. My boyfriend had his phone always set to Bluetooth and it paired to the duck while it was in lullaby mode. So while he was playing a phone game my daughter heard the game music through the duck because it dropped lullaby mode.*** To the developers I say please work on the Android platform it would be super helpful for people that cannot afford Apple products.

It's advertised as android compatible, but the app is glitchy and difficult to use with android. So basically it's a $100 nightlight.

Keeps crashing. Won't get past the initial start screen.

My biggest complaint is where are the OTHER apps. Iphone has more apps for edwin(ie thermometer feature). The price for Edwin is the same weather you have android or apple so where are the other features? The features advertised do not work pending update {ie songs, stories, etc...} and it WASN'T stated most features are available only for iPhone.

Edwin is great if you have an iphone or ipad, needs more updates to bring the Android application up to par with iOS's. Until then just 'meh should have known better than buying this almost a year ago when it debuted believing that the application and support was there from launch... still waiting and lagging behind Edwin's capabilities with Android and that Apple users have consistently enjoyed Edwin's capabilities since Edwin first came coming to market.

I am disappointed with how few choices there are in this app. If I only paid 30 dollars for Edwin than I would rate this 5 starts.... not worth 100 dollars. Please continue adding more features please.

Its a $100 Bluetooth speaker. The update is great and I'm glad it finally updated, but I wish there was more for $100. Please keep updating and working towards more games, songs, and stories.

Im adding to my comment I made months ago! There is still no update. And developer hasn't responded to a single comment. He's laughing because we all spent ton of money on a glowing duck that barely functions. Could be great product If u actually added more content. What's the deal!? Orignal comment----- why is there only 1 song? others are listed and play snippet but keeps saying coming soon!? if there is sample how is the whole song not avail!? ADD more songs please.

For $100, I expect this duck and app to have much more content. The interactive ability isn't even released yet. Great idea with horrible execution so far.

Would give 5 stars if app had more content. Hoping new songs/games are added soon!!
