Be a poet is the kind of app that changes according to your mood. Use it to relax and to meditate. Let it help you brainstorm ideas for your next project. Or just have fun!
How does it work?
To play, just drag word tiles onto your play surface to create poems, write messages, or begin a story. You can save your new creations or share them with the world!
What can I do with it?
Meditate.
Writing can be a type of meditation. Instead of just sitting still, try using Be a poet to write whatever comes to mind for a set period of time. You'll be amazed what you'll discover about yourself!
Brainstorm.
Be a poet can be used to start a new project or help break writer's block. It has rewards to keep you writing, and the packs of words inspire you to think about story ideas in a different way. If you're not a writer, you can brainstorm party themes or creative projects.
Learn.
Use the non-English alphabet packs to start thinking in a new language!
Share.
You can share images of your poems with others. Write a sonnet to a loved one or a funny note to a friend and send it as a text message, an email attachment, or on twitter.
But really, at the end of the day Be a Poet is as individual as you are. What you do with it is up to you!

The complete application is included, along with some basic decks such as: English Alphabet, Basic Words, and Adjectives and Adverbs. It also comes loaded with fun packs like Science, Shakespeare, and Wild West.
What are the in-app purchases for?
The in-app purchases are for extra decks, including decks for other alphabets such as Hiragana, Katakana, Greek Alphabet, and Russian Alphabet. There are decks for basic words in other languages, such as Basic Spanish, and Basic Japanese. There are also extra fun backs for enhancing your creativity, like Romance Novel, Love, Pirates!, and more.

This is the best magnetic poetry app I have found for free. I was disappointed to find that there is no option to delete a saved poem and no verb category. I also wish there was a way to make custom word packs since there are certain words I cannot find. Even having this as a paid feature would be acceptable in my opinion. There is the alphabet option, but at that point you might as well be using a word processor to write poetry. I think having a word limit for the custom packs could keep it challenging.

This is something very different and unique. The music is soft and appealing, the verbs active, I never thought of writing a poem this way before. Really like it.
