The app itself is very good, but I would suggest that you take a look onto the code, as the parameter "X" which defines absent characters is actually number of wrong characters in the guess, for example if the code is ABCD and my guess is AABC then "X" returns 0, even though D is absent.

It's not mastermind, more like easy-baby-mind. And when one accidentally type same letter twice it shouldn't be counted as a trial. Like adcd should be wrong entry not wrong answer.
