Crossword Puzzle Free

UI is simple and easy to use. The selection is challenging enough to make it interesting for me without being so difficult as to be impossible. In a bind, the reveal letter and word are useful. While other reviews have complained about ads with sounds, I have not come across such ones. There are ads that do pop up from time to time, but I do not find them to be too much of an issue. Would be nice if there were some sort of dictionary integrated in with the app. Overall, definitely worth a try!

Love it. The clues don't repeat very often. It makes you think but it isn't to hard. Reminds me of the Dell crosswords I did as a child and loved. I like that you can look at just one letter if you really get stumped. There are too many adds, and they are too noisy especially if you are trying to do these quietly. They blare out even when you have it on mute.

Great interface, the best I've found. Unfortunately all games are the same difficulty (I complete in about 10 min), and a lot of the same words/clues are used across puzzles, which makes it even less challenging (Demi Moore should get a kick back for how many different times her name was used in a few weeks).

Easy but somewhat challenging. Sometimes the screen enlarges and I have to shut it down in order to resize it. Also the letters skip a box that's filled in already, so sometimes in typing a correct response the app skips a box and I have to go back and fix it. But it's the best so far that I have found.

When I can get the game to work it provides a great novice level experience. The only thing is it crashes EVERY TIME I have to click on the X for an ad, IF the X appears on the top right. If it appears on the left the game works for 1-2 puzzles. Then it always seems to give a right side X. I have to restart over and over to get to play each night.

I only downloaded this app because I noticed all the puzzles in it ????. I came across the crossword puzzle and I was like uhh!!! I hate crossword puzzles ????, but... I started messing around with the daily crossword puzzles and I absolutely love it now lol so thank you. I told my mom about this app and she is addictive too! Funny how one app can make me feel great ????

These puzzles turned awfully poor, in one day. Ridiculous clues, nonsense answers. If you've hired someone new, fire them! I had been doing these puzzles for about a year now and really enjoyed them. Any more like today's and I will remove this app permanently.

I love this game! It helps my brain stay sharp while expanding my vocabulary, and it's super fun. 4 stars instead of 5 because it can be a little repetitive some times. Worth the download!!!

Good game. Sometimes a bit too easy but overall good. Need to have a pay version to get rid of ads. Also don't ever accidentally hit the Google games button. If you don't want to join there is no way out. It tries to login EVERY time you start and gives error. Very irritating.

Love the game. Keeps my brain alert and active. But, as previous people have stated there is too much repetition of the same words, selecting language each time is very irritating and the pop up ads drive me insane. Please can they be stopped??

Just downloaded recently so, for now, I like it very much. Better than some other xword apps... but as usual, the ads frustrate me. But, I've seen much worse so I haven't deleted it yet!

I expect ads in a free game, but not ones that play obnoxious sounds. Silencing an ad does not carry forward. Makes it awkward to rude if playing in a public place.

Fell in love with it once I learned it would show me if I was wrong while playing. It's my new favorite game. I was playing crosswords with friends but I hate it now. I'm am totally addicted

So far, the best crossword I've found. No where does it ask you for money to buy anything so that you can finish the puzzles. You can play to your heart's content. I've deleted at least four crossword games where you had to spend money. Not this one. I love it!

What a great game loads of crosswords and it's free not like some of the other money grubbing apps on here! Although it's dumb having reveal the whole solution to a puzzle as I've accidentally tapped it sometimes bloody annoying.

It was great until every ad it displays at the top began flashing. It's annoying and it gives me a headache. I've tried asking it not to show those particular ads, but it just shows more and more obnoxious, visually loud, flashing ads. I'm uninstalling now.

loved the puzzles but ads were extremely distracting with lots of movement and flashing. Don't mind the ads but don't need the distraction while trying to play game. Used to be able to turn off those ads but now Google has made it impossible to do so. I have uninstalled the game and will do so on all others that provide distracting ads that I can't control.

Game is pleasant and occasionally mildly challenging. Because of offensive ads after games (sexual), I'm inclined to avoid the game, and if I do play, I especially make sure I don't look at anything after the game. Can't share it with kids or grandkids because of the ads...It's too bad... It's the opposite of good advertising...

Well designed and easy to use, with variety of different visual options. Does get repetitive, as with many series of crosswords. Would love some more difficulty options, maybe some cryptic questions. A great way to kill time, relax, and use your brain.

Good crossword puzzle, i like the ability to see if word is correct. Earlier version was better when it would tell you as your typing the letter instead of after you finish the word and then going back and deleting. After a while got tired of, the pop up ads and some of the words werevery questionable. Ended up deleting to look for other.

Good game, though a lot of repeat words and hints. This is probably just my dumb fingers but I also keep accidentally hitting the wrong letter, didn't Detract from the score for it though

Great game for someone like me just starting crossword puzzles. Not too hard,but still had to think. Ads weren't too annoying either -bonus.

I used to play this every day, but as someone else said - something happened around 11/30/17 and it has completely changed. Now the clues and answers are very nonsensical. Uninstalling...

UPDATE: clues are repeated WAY TOO MUCH. Deleted. UPDATE: ADS THAT CONTINUALLY FLASH DURING PLAY EXTREMELY ANNOYING! PLEASE FIX! Clues are repeated, doesn't go to next empty cell even though in settings and when moving to next clue on down doesn't go like normal numbered puzzles. However, not many ads and are not intrusive. All in all the best crossword app I have found!

I try to close the app, it asks for a rating. I say no and it reloads the game. Then I try to close it again and again it asks me to rate it. Repeat and repeat. Fine you want me to rate it so badly? Take my 1-star. Can't even close the game, what the hell. Super annoying

I really this game. I have played a few others and they are either super advanced or way too easy. This is just challenging enough to have to think but not easy enough to loose interest.

Idiom usage is often incorrect. Seems obvious the puzzle creator's native language isn't English, or that s/he isn't fluent in Englush. Some answers are completely off. Other than that, I still enjoy it.

Lots of puzzles, including three new ones every day that do not disappear if you don't do them that day. Loads quickly and easily, has never caused a crash problem. Very happy with it. Samsung Galaxy S6.

Decent crossword app.. Daily Puzzles are fun, maybe a bit repetitive sometimes. Would give app 5/5 if it weren't for how obnoxious the ads are.. Hard to concentrate when there is a flashing bar above the puzzle.. And ads that play sound ;__;

So far I have played only 7 games. Puzzles are a little bit easy, hopefully to build confidence and they become more challenging. Dont like so many American clues or abbreviations within the answers though.

Best Crossword App I have used. The ads now are pretty loud when they come on, but don't appear frequently, which isn't a big deal to me since the app is free. Only real complaint is that some of the clues are repetitive and make it a little easier than it maybe should be.

Insultingly simplistic. If you're looking for puzzles to challenge a 6-yr-old, this is a good app. 7-yr-olds and older, on the other hand, will find the client obvious and the puzzles unchallenging.

I'm a beginner to "crosswords". This easy version is just what the doctor ordered to get ones feet wet and build confidence at the same time. Then it's flexible too make it more difficult if you'd like. I don't go a day with playing it !

A great way to pass the time. Challenging and fun! Not always the same clues which is a breath of fresh air.. Very enjoyable and like that you have a choice of solving either The Daily or Standard.

Is a nice game with a great interface. However there are a few flaws like the sounds made when you enter a letter and the fact that you cannot a source temporarily stop receiving the daily games

I love the simple graphics, much better than the over the top candy crush versions others offer. A lot of the clues repeat from puzzle to puzzle, wish there was a bit more variety Minor details, but wish the control (to switch between clues) was in the middle instead of far left and that the back button could be used between clues (ie that you could delete through to the previous word instead of only to the first letter of the current word)

Easy puzzles to pass the time. Great response time and good clues. The ads are aggravating, but predictable, so it's not hard to get used to them. I wish I could rate it higher than a five!

Random ad generates at top of screen causing game board to move. Tapping for a clue sometimes causes me to open the ad and lose the game. Otherwise the puzzles are challenging and numerous.

I like doing crosswords when I'm bored or need to kill time. This app is perfect. New puzzles every day. They're kind of easy, but still a fun way to pass the time.

I play every night when I get into bed, easy puzzles help me wind down for the night. I must say I hate the flashing ads as they are distracting. I also hate that when I have silenced the app, an ad pops up after a game that is very loud. Like I said, I play when I get into bed and sometimes the ads wake my husband up they are so loud. Sometimes I can hit the silence button at the top left of screen, but there are times I don't get to it in time. Other than that I enjoy the ap although repetitive answers like ENE, Ali, Err, etc., but I get those are fillers to make the puzzles work out.
