About Territorium
There are two phases that will cycle throughout the project’s game. The first phase will be the Turn-Phase. During this phase, the players will interact with the map. A map will consist of various territories. A territory is a bound location on the map where players interact with their units. The shape and size of a territory may vary but will not affect how many units can be housed in the territory. A player is said to own a territory if their units are the only units that occupy that territory. Territories will be given limited view of the map. The default amount of vision given to each territory will be limited to adjacent territories. Players will be given a chance to expand the amount of vision they have by interacting with their territories.
Each territory will have options that the player can choose from. These options are as follows:
Move: The player chooses to move units to a territory.
Attack: The player chooses to invade a territory.
Defend: The player fortifies this territory granting a defensive bonus.
Train: The player increases the amount of troops in this territory on the next turn.
Vision: The player gains more vision of surrounding territories.
New territories will default their option to train.
Each player starts the game owning one territory.
The amount of territories on the map will determine the size of the map.
When expanding across the map, players can only traverse through adjacent territories. All territories are required to have a walk between them so that two territories cannot be disconnected (there will be no islands).
The human player will compete against computer players. The player chooses his character defined by its color. Each color will give different statistic bonuses that will benefit the player’s gameplay. These bonuses apply to all players, not just the human player.
There are 3 play styles to the computer players (Aggressive, Defensive, and Expansive).
The second phase in this game is the battle phase. This phase details what happens when one player enters the territory of another player. This coexistence in one territory will cause a conflict between players and lead to a battle. A battle can consists of only two players because of the turn-based nature of this game.
A battle occurs when one player tries to Move or Attack into an enemy territory. A player can only attack into another territory if there will be at least 1 unit left in the territory they are attacking from. A battle will end when either one player successfully retreats or when all of one player’s units are defeated. In battle, there are two options: Attack or Retreat.
When attacking, the outcome of the battle will be decided by a number that represents the attack or the defense. This number will be calculated using a random number generator and statistics that will affect the outcome of the random number. The number will be a number between 0 and 99. Whichever player has the highest calculated number will win the battle. The difference between the two numbers will help determine how many units are lost. The defender in a battle will always win ties.
The Retreat option will only be available when attacking a territory. When a player chooses the Retreat option, the numbers will be calculated the same way the Attack option calculates. If the player choosing Retreat gets a higher number than their opponent, then the player will successfully retreat. If the player does not get a higher number, then the player will lose units and will be given the options to Attack or Retreat again. When a player successfully retreats there will be a calculated number of units the player will lose. The rest of the units will retreat to the territory it was attacking from.

The gore and blood was a little over the top but the intuitive controls and epic story telling kept me on the edge of my seat and playing for thirteen hours straight. *SPOILER ALERT* Lord Saphire of the Blue Republic was hilarious! I cried when Charles Crimson, Champion of the Red Empire died. R.I.P Charles. :*(.-PS- Nerf Yellow
