Crossword Cryptic

I've used this app for a good while. Interface is good, and the puzzles are enjoyable. cryptics a bit easier than guardian or globe-and-mail, and some are perhaps heavy on anagrams. I *started* doing cryptics with this app; for that, the difficulty level was perfect. The puzzles remain interesting, still. Suggestion: for a given puzzle, count number of user requests for help ("reveal letter" e.g.) and report this on puzzle completion.

Been looking for a good cryptic crossword app for ages. Found some general knowledge crosswords to absurd and clueless. Tried this and absolutely love it. Everything from the clues, and the tutorial on how to solve cryptic clues, to the layout and settings are first class. Paid the full price once finished the free version and haven't stopped since. Well done

Keeps my mind working, all puzzles have taken me quite some time and several visits to crack. Like the options available, only good cryptic crossword app I`ve found so far.

I've had this app for a few years. Every time I changed phones, it was one of the first I reloaded. I especially love the new packs with updates! The new ones give the brain a slightly tougher work-out. Brill!

The interface is simple and we'll designed, the puzzles contain some I'll get right away and some that stump me fo a while, there's a hint system, and no ads. What more could you want?

Really good app. Great consistent cryptic crosswords. Sensible level for me. Very satisfying and of course, always to hand. Last download seems to have some rather bizarre answers that were rather lost on me.

Have been enjoying this app immensely. Love it when you are really stuck that you can keep trying until you get the right letters to help.

A handy collection of cryptic crosswords. Not too hard and not too easy. The difficulty level is a touch easier than the guardian or telegraph.

I enjoy these any time that I am stuck waiting on something, or someone. They frequently make me laugh; thanks for the fun.

Great variety of cryptic clues. Some easier ones to help you get a foothold, some that will have you pondering a while and if you get really stuck there's a feature that lets you reveal a letter or even a whole word. You don't get that with a newspaper. Great fun app.

After all those 5*s I guess its clear I thoroughly enjoy and recommend this app! I've started at least four relatives on cryptic crosswords using the free version! In trying out other cryptic crossword apps, I recall that somewhere (I thought it was this one.

I am not a high end Cryptic crossword user but I find these puzzles are challenging enough without being frustrating. App is easy to use and help options are useful.

Fun app, some clues can be a bit tenuous and anagram heavy. On the whole though, good functioning for beginners and great for a free app.

Please could you make the delete button only delete the incorrect letters when pressed repeatedly.

A few too many non-cryptic .......otherwise would have rated it 5 stars

Great fun. You can check your answers which helps when you get a bit stuck and learn for the next time.

Only got interested in Cryptic puzzles a short while ago and found this app to be ideal for practising on the go

Love these puzzles. Do not need to be a language expert to complete. Also like that it is usable in landscape mode

Perfect difficulty level on most puzzles. Tricky but not ridiculously hard

A good way to keep an active brain, very important as you age. Hard enough to challenge the brain but easy enough to be solvable!

Lots and lots of cryptics, right on my phone. Some easier, some pretty tough, and with a very user-friendly interface.

I like the cryptic puzzles as they're a good level of difficulty.

I bought this because I wanted to learn how to solve cryptic crosswords and I am picking it up quite well. I like this a lot. Currently enjoying the new pack.

The added tutorial in this version gives an insight as to what to look for. Great for a quick 10 minutes or longer if you have the time.

I really enjoy the app and Im improving, but also use a crossword solving app to solve the anagrams. Need a helping hand!

Good cryptic crosswords for beginners! Easy to adjust settings to your preferences. LOTS of crosswords for your $. Totally worth the small cost to have no ads.

Well programmed and easy to use. Lots of medium hard crosswords with good checking (and cheating) facilities.
