Thrusty Tubes for Android
Although there are some people who will lazily compare this to a certain flapping bird game, this couldn't be any more different. The controls allow the player to tilt and thrust allowing a great degree of control and a much different playing style. TCKSoft have cleverly deconstructed the essential core mechanic and have kept it cleverly balanced between infuriating and challenging whilst injecting their own additions to the formula..such as moving pipes and allowing the player so move around the screen. The graphical style is also unique, harking back to 70s era Lunar Lander whilst mixing in a B/W art-house film feel to the graphics to make the playing atmosphere more strangely threatening and claustrophobic. A addictive little mobile game you'll spend hours playing and well worth a single pound to get the ad-free version. This for me ranks just behind Jumping Jack and Hunt the Wumpus for mobile perfection from TCKsoft, and a winner to start 2014 on. :)
Only tilt game I've ever played that didn't suck. Maddeningly difficult, insanely addictive.
