About Luxuria Superbia

A simple game of touch, pleasure and joy.

Luxuria Superbia is a colorful, musical journey made to fill you with joy. Exciting designs explode from your touch as you glide through playful stylized flowers. It’s all about the experience and the interaction.

"Luxuria Superbia is a bright, vibrant game that will make you smile as much as it will make you blush."
— Andrew Webster, The Verge

"Like many a human partner, it offers very little explicit instruction on how it wants to be caressed, but plenty of feedback to learn from.”
— Leigh Alexander, Slate

“Colorful… and oh-so-touchable. So touch it. You know you want to.”
— Andrew Vestal, Gaming Intelligence Agency

“It’s terrific! Lovely, sweet, and in its own way, quite funny.”
— Patrick Smith (Vectorpark)

“Its pretty darn wonderful.”
— Rudolf Kremer (Eufloria)

“What if Georgia O’Keefe and Claude Monet had a videogame love-child?”
— Chris Bateman (iHobo)

There’s twelve flower-like tunnels and a garden with a temple.
In the garden, you select a flower by turning the dial.
When you complete a flower the next one is unlocked.

A flower always starts out colorless.
But when you touch it, color fills the tunnel.
Stay in the glowing flower as long as possible!

Play slowly and gently to get a high score.
Just pushing through as fast as you can will result in failure.
The game wants you to take it easy and be playful.

The blush you cause to a flower imbues the garden too.
For each flower, there’s a column in the temple.
Time spent in a blooming flower makes its column grow.
The garden starts blank, just like the tunnels.
But over several journeys, it flourishes with color.

Bring color to the flowers, bring joy and beauty to the garden!

It is a game of give and take. Saying too much would spoil the experience, so all I'm going to say is that it's an amazing game that everyone must play!

There aren't really many games like this around. Very much unlike the majority of Android games, this game offers a fresh game experience, casual and a bit mysterious, with Wonderful aesthetics and a very pleasing soundtrack. Give it a try!

I loved this game on the Ouya. I love this game with touch display. Can we please have controller support on this one and tag it as compatible with Android TV? It is totally worth it and such a unique concept it would be a pity if we lost it forever...

Every time I open the app, the logo shows and otherwise it is blank. There's a square in the corner with letters and if I press it it says it is waiting to download content. This has been going on for three weeks and I really just want to play the dang game

Very unique game, the only downside is some of the text and little bit of UI there is is a bit low res and this shows on the Nexus 10 screen (game itself looks fantastic though) also landscape support would bump this up too a full 5 stars, now if you'll excuse me I need too get back too touching flowers?

I have no idea what's going on in this game but it's mesmerizing.

I still have no clue what's the goal in that game. but it looks nice, can be hypnotic from time to time - good time-waster

X70%
by X####:

Quite like this game but feel it could do with more depth and more polish. As it is it's a bit lacking as a game but worth four stars as an interesting concept.

S70%
by S####:

Level 4 has terrible frame rate.

Tale of Tales is a fabulous maker of interactive art in a game format. I adore Vanitas; their other work includes The Endless Forest, The Path, The Graveyard. You may or may not like them but if you do you will like them a lot. Update: the screenshot function doesn't work for the Nexus 7.

E70%
by E####:

While this is the most "gamey" art Tale of Tales have made, this is still very much art in the purest sense. But even though it's art, the guys at ToT managed to make you feel rewarded in a way that only conventional games does. This is a big step forward, since it does in no way seem to take away from the whole art experience. This is something you ought to try out, if for nothing else than to tell your friends that you had abstract sex with your phone/tablet. Truly a magnificent piece, and a fun game. This is a step towards merging games with art, more than any ToT project before.

A brilliant, fun game with a gorgeous design. Runs perfectly on my device (Xperia S) so far.

E70%
by E####:

This isn't quite a game in the conventional sense, it is more of a piece of interactive art. And yes, sensual and sexy. Probably not a huge amount of replay value for most people.

U70%

Nice ambient experience with beautiful color and sound. Interesting metaphor to sexuality. There are some issues wit the frame rate on my nexus 10.

U70%

I cannot imagine this game is designed for anyone except straight adult males. if I let my kids play with it, that would be really perverse. it's not like the innuendo could be called "thinly veiled." it's not.

Ended up just being perverse. Two stars for being original.
