10/10 would 10/10 again.
Killer soundtrack and funny
Well, I guess I found one of my favorite games from the play store! Sure, it's short, but I enjoyed every second of it. The battles are fair, yet still offer a challenge, and I love that it has a large focus on boss battles. Overall, well done! By the way, I'd love to see Super Walrus Chef to Android as well.
This is one of the most amazing OHRRPGCE games that I have ever played. Sure, it doesn't come close to the length of Motrya; and it doesn't have what most people would consider to be "great" art; but the game itself is a work of art. The black and white color set seems to add a sad, gritty feel to the game, while the soundtrack makes me laugh every time I enter a new area. I mean, with lyrics like: "Walking outside. Meet the people. Walking outside. These trees got faces," and "It's the world map. Tells you where you're at. It's the world map, yo where you wanna go?" how could I not? The non funny music is great too. I constantly find myself humming the song from Bob Surlaw's shop. I liked the cameo appearances of Bob and Mr. Pepper, and your portrayal of the marines. Definitely worth the buck. PS: Is there any way I could download the soundtrack? PPS: I'm the Burrito Droid. ;)
This game was fun and funny. I beat it in under 3 hours but that's not a complaint. I love the humor and love idea of having emotions as an equitable item although they did feel kind of pointless. Good music too. The only real problem I have with the game are the sprites! They're so ugly! Sorry! It's a great game nonetheless and definitely worth a dollar. I love the reference to Horse Game. Almost forgot! I LOVED the story. I hope you plan on making more games similar to the one's you already have made.
Too funny; worth every penny! If I were to attempt to make improvements Charles ought to be able to date himself. Add a prologue or extra bosses. More awesome music and/or an ingame music player. More witty dialog including an explanation for b&w setting. Turn down the sfx a pinch. Put a boat on the world map so we can go to japan. (Or elsewhere) Thanks guys I really enjoyed this!
Controls are brutal, but game is fun. Best game music ever.
Once it started To work I knew that it was gonna be good and by God it is , it has classic final fantasy gameplay and cool designed graphics with humorous music and a good feel overall I'd easily call this a must have
I had to fight with the controls at times but this game is the x factor of awesomeness. Worth every penny.
Trees have faces
C. Kane is an odd little gem. One could almost believe it's a long lost 8-bit jRPG written by a jaded Nintendo employee who'd once seen a badly subtitled version of Citizen Kane while high. It's not quite a parody of classic RPGs, but it's clearly written with a knowledge of the genre and its quirks. It's rather short, but still has depth; figuring out the right strategy for each fight can be a puzzle unto its self, and there are bits of humor throughout that range from quite clever to delightfully strange.
Controls can be a bit fiddly and NPC's can get in your way but the game is sweet, very funny and doesn't take its self seriously I love different games like this, oh yea the music is cool. Niggles aside its still getting a 5*.
Seriously... Anywhere I can buy this soundtrack? This game is phenomenal... Well worth the purchase. Great job.
I have played for exactly two minutes so far. I have seen references to Chrono Trigger, David Bowie, and Pokemon. I have obtained the Dad sword and equipped the emotion that is sorrow. I have learned that Journalism is basically the weirding way from Dune. I have not even left the house yet. 5 stars.
Great battles, no grinding, and a funny story mixed with satire. Add some excellent music and you are looking at a rad 2-3 hours or more of the Citizen Kane of gaming. Get it.
Ironically this game really IS artistically excellent on the design side! The combat is based on stat buffs, both through equipment and commands, allowing much greater strategic flexibility than one sees in almost any big-name JRPG. The battles are also 100% scripted (ala Crono Trigger though in a very different style), so there's no repetition, no grinding, etc. I would genuinely like to see this approach used more widely in the industry. Great stuff! ROSEBUD.
C. Kane is truly art. A fun game indeed.
I'm only one minute in and I can't stop laughing. This game is awesome!!
The music is awesome. The gameplay is old school. I love it.
A great way to spend a few hours. I have never seen citizen Kane but I highly recommend this. It plays like a witty Pokémon, toying with the gameplay design of the typical turn-based jrpg formula. This is a must play for any mobile gamer with a dollar and an hour or two of time
C. Kane is highly inventive and highly sassy. You can get married, and love is wonderful.

Hard as **** but a great play none-the-less, a shame it hasn't had more coverage.
