The best way to succeed in this exciting game is to plan your strategy against each alien wave - it is usually wise to vary your strategy as you encounter each new formation of aliens.
Watch out for the all-important pickups: there are power cannons, double cannons, quad cannons, shields, bomb disarmers, smart bombs and new energy boosts available as you advance deeper into the alien worlds!

It's nice to see a classic game get the remake treatment, and this new version with the explosions behind the aliens is just as frantic and chaotic as the original. It's a lot of fun, though you'll need to get the add-on levels to really enjoy everything.
