Str8ts is a number puzzle that is easy to learn, has simple rules, requires no math skills and is addictive as Sudoku. Few puzzles have the amount of depth and variety as Str8ts. You are encouraged to find multiple solving techniques as you progress between different levels of difficulties.
Like Sudoku you need to place numbers uniquely in each row and column. But the dark blue cells add a new dimension. These divide the rows and columns into compartments which work like a poker hand - you have to make sure the numbers are like a 'straight', like 5,6,7 and 8 - but they can be in any order. There are clues to start you off and ensure the puzzle has just one solution. The clues in dark blue cells rule out that number in the row and column and can't be used as part of a straight.
For this app we've splashed out on smart functionality, easy to use controls, help and an app tutorial, cool graphics and plenty of puzzles.
All the puzzles created for this game were made by Andrew Stuart, who has published puzzles in many newspapers around the world.

.. would love it more if it synced across devices or allowed you to choose the game number. I've just installed on a new tablet and, as others have said, it's really annoying to have to start again when you get a new device. 5 stars anyway, but please think about adding function.

Love the game but there is one thing missing from the app to make it awesome. I would want the app to update across devices. I play both on my phone and tablet at home. It is very annoying to have to re-complete levels to get where I was on a different device.

This game deserves to be a hit if only for the well thought out title name. The game itself is a solid take on Sudoku the best I've seen in a long time and its well worth a play. If there is one problem with this game its with the instructions not being written from a new players point of view and I would kindly recommend that the Dev looks at them again. Apart from that I recommend to everyone to try this game its a lot of fun.

I am a long-time fan of Str8ts, and am loving the additional puzzles available through this app. I highly recommend it. One suggestion: Please add the ability to solve the daily web puzzles via the app. Thank you!!

Gameboard is unresponsive under 4.4.2; needs 4 seconds to switch a cell, entering a number also. Support doesnt respond.
