If it had not been for droid gamers, I would have never discovered this sweet little rhythm gem. Unfortunately, the fremium model hurts its playability. Also, why are purchases tied to either FB or Twitter? My Google credentials should be more than enough. Please fix this.

Another must miss in the endless amount of rhythm games on the Android market. The game itself runs well but the ad's and having to buy coins to play other songs is just terrible. I can't see anybody playing this game seriously. The fact this is just a rhythm game with Simon Says just looks like a poor attempt to make money off rhythm game players all around.

Its a fun and simple music game. Its very refreshing to see a new music game for android. All songs can be unlocked by earning coins by playing songs repeatedly. Or you can buy the coins with real money. Its refreshing to have the option to grind in game to earn the songs. My only complaint is that there are no songs that are exclusive to this game. I have heard all of the songs in other project revolution games.

I played this at PAX East and it was alright, honestly as a game I'd just play it if I was bored of everything else a got. The whole 3 lives, the power ups, I don't know... And the issue I'm having is it registers my taps but not the very first tap at the beginning of each part. Might just be my phone, but I have no issue with other music rhythm game like ReRave and Crytus. (This was an issue with syncing and was fixed going into the settings!!)

by Y####:

1) Some Achievements (in Google Play) won't unlock? 2) I am sure I do hit (tap) but sometimes it says I missed, jeez...

Somewhat fun game ruined by notes deciding at random that you held them instead of tapped them in a system where you get 3 lives is just painful at best played tell on hard how many times and the same sections constantly saying I'm holding notes btw not new to rhythm or tapping games maybe its playing it on a phone more likely it's just a glitch system

Having trouble FCing your own destiny on master? Those pesky greats bothering you? Do you keep getting below 90% accuracy? This is the game for you! Of course, this doesn't rival cytus or any rhythm game. It's meant to teach you : the difference between 1/2, 1/4, 1/8 beat. BPM changes. So if you are the kind of guy who got a 6 stars on your own destiny while blindfolded, 1 handed, and using a sausage to play, this isn't the game for you. However if you aren't great at rhythm games, give this a shot.

To anyone considering this game, be aware the developers are giving a very huge effort to address not just bugs (which on Android compared to iOS is much harder to support) but all feedback. Hey Kyle! I'm Shinji16, and Sigma & I are long time friends from the New England Bemani community, and I've commented in the Google Doc review he submitted as well. I'm on an HTC M8 with stock Android and I'm having the same trouble with notes 2x or 3x randomly firing in error. Game is running awesome for me otherwise!

From the videos it was fairly obvious that this was going to be for the casuals. Simon-insipred gameplay kills the mood of a rhythm game considering you're playing for only half of the song. Not a decent songlist starting out. (Comparing to Cytus which is your main competor here) Minimal feedback and the lives system are both too harsh for people just learning the genre and annoying for people that already play rhythm games. It's a nice attempt at branching off into different directions, but it's not something I would recommend. There are other rhythm games to play.

I had so much fun with Dittobeat. Those familiar with music rhythm games will 100% love the soundtrack. The gameplay is addicting and satisfying when laying down some smooth tracks. Fantastic work on this!

Execution seems a bit iffy. In a market that's saturated with the same kind of rhythm games its a breath of fresh air but it feels more like a novelty than something that can be expanded upon. The song choice could have been a lot better. Recycling stuff that's been charted to death for various other rhythm games seems like a cheap cop out in my opinion. The UI is also very plastic and fake and comes off more like one of those cheap flash ads that were rampant a couple of years ago. Its Ok but thats it

Y70%
by Y####:

Interface resembles bad tap tap revenge clones. Timing system is pretty wonky and not well defined, combo windows are too large. "Original" gameplay mechanics makes seem even more like a ripoff than a tribute or inspiration. Simon like gameplay breaks the flow of the game, you're only playing at intervals for half the song. Song list is bland (compare to games like Cytus and Dynamix). No satisfaction of pressing colored buttons due to almost complete lack of feedback during the game Would not recommend to casual players, much less avid rhythm gamers.

The game's pretty fun, it's like Simon with Electronic Music mostly by Kyle Ward, the CEO of Step Revolution LLC. Not a big fan of the gameplay but it's a nice and a unique concept.

It's Simon Says. The colors weren't even changed. It relies on remixes of public domain music. It dropped inputs. Above all - I got an achievement for getting a pop up ad, and another for syncing the offset. Uninstalling.

Y70%

Its a bit glitchy and the achievment system is a bit buggy. But considering i played this game as soon as it launched on the app store, id say its pretty good. Fun music and very competitive leaderboards.

Y70%

It's nice to see an attempt at a new style of music game. Great music and if you're an ITG fan you'll know many of the songs. Your score is based on your accuracy so you'll find yourself replaying trying to perfect a song over and over. The music all fits perfectly in a Simon says style environment and is developed quite well. I recommend any fan of music games to give this a try.

I just wish there were more songs without having to buy them.
