The core game is fun, the app has annoyingly bad UX

Bought some expansions but these are not linked to Google account so after reset I lost it all including progress

App won't open. Not much more I can say...

Fun game, but online game gets pretty broken once you move beyond single digits levels. Nearly impossible to move up in rank. Becomes a game of win one, lose one...

I wrote the review below awhile ago and things have definitely improved since. This game has been fantastic for years, but this recent update has had so many problems at launch and they still linger. Music randomly turns back on even though it isn't turned on. You time out on turns because the game doesn't seem stable (I have a Samsung Galaxy s5), this is probably the most devastating thing during ranked play. It also takes a very long time to reboot the game after the update if something does go wrong. Because they lowered the amount of time in real time to take your turn, people (probably with better phones) will always have the advantage.

I've beeb trying to hold back on writing this, but I can't anymore. This is just rediculous. Some of these missions are just TOO HARD. Having the AI start out with a base that has 6 defense and allows them to scrap cards to draw cards is just broken as hell, because then they can buy expensive cards early, I can't damage them, and then they end up with only 7 cards in their deck that all deal nearly 20 damage every turn, and since they only have 7 cards (which most allow them to Draw 1), you are basically f***ed. The game is really fun when things are fair, but there are MANY levels that are immensely imbalanced against you, and in a game that relies heavily on random draw luck, that is NOT good.

I got this game in the physical cards, then on my computer, and now on my phone. Wonderful game play that immerses you into the feeling of strategic space battles. I could play this for days.

Having constant issues with version mismatches making it so I can't play with friends.

My only gripe is that the gestures needed to take certain actions are not the most intuitive.

Deceptively simple at first, but richly complex and wickedly addictive. The significant element of chance keeps the game balance fun at any ability level.

Brilliant game. A bit odd after the update, I play a dozen games, I lose a dozen games...by a huge margin too. Oh well. Die and learn.

Other game developers who want to take a great tabletop game and bring it to mobile ports should take notice of this game. Fantastic job

Best card game out there.

Super addictive

This game only has two skill levels, impossible and no chance. Can't get past the first few levels because the game is coded so bad. One level doesn't allow you to use bases then places nothing but bases on trade row and puts two in your hand at the get go, this is on impossible level. Not to mention the ai gets 10 cards 7 of which are bases. 3 turns and ai beats you. I would like to give more info but it is impossible to get past the first few levels. For all I know the rest of the game is amazing and easy but I have a feeling I will never see the rest of the game.

There has clearly been an update to the ai logic. The campaign is impossible at this point. Ive been trying to beat chapter 2 level 3. At first I was going for 3 Star challenge. Then I said f*** it I just want to beat. It... Feels like the AI is INCREDIBLY lucky. They always get faction bonuses, and good cards rapidly repeat for them. I bought brain world and didn't see it once. Ai buys freighter and next turn plays it and 4 scouts and has command ship on turn 2 what the hell. Great against other people but the missions are impossible now. I have thrown my phone more times than my gf likes screaming this is bull. I'll stick to physical.

Tried reinstalling but still same message on phone start it is like the app try launching and they say it can't with an error message. Why is there a launch on startup feature it is useless especially with battery consumption it has. Please correct this bug. Ewas great but this error makes it bothersome.

Was 5 stars across the board until it made my phone have massive issues. I contacted the company but they still have not updated to fix game crashes and massive battery usage. The game won't close out properly and causes other apps to malfunction. Had to uninstall due to problems which is a shame since I used to love playing this game.

App constantly crashed my tablet. Then the app stopped working altogether. Tried uninstalling and re-install but now it won't download the game & shows error when trying to re-install.

Great game, but updates are handled poorly. Game must be reinstalled when you have errors. For whatever reason, you cannot always get the updated version on the playstore.

So the game is fun, BUT after paying $4.99 to get the "full" version, you only get two chapters of the campaign. You have to keep buying expansions if you want to play beyond the first handful of missions. I am not someone who sinks a lot of money into phone games, so I feel as though I wasted my $4.99.

Great game, the game seems very balance in it's sense. There are multiple ways to win and using the same strategy over and over again will not guarantee you an online win. The game is very fast pace but it does get dull after some repetition luckily, there are DLCs that changes your way of thinking with new cards and those standby ships. The standby ships can really turn the game when played properly.

Just uninstalled this app after having it since it first came out. Adding ads (especially ones that interrupt gameplay) after not having them from the beginning is in poor taste and just a money grab. You won't be missed.

If you would have talked to be a couple weeks ago, I would have give. This game 4 stars easily but now... One star, and for one reason, the luck factors given to increase difficulty. The AI design is simple, but as you increase the difficulty the AI gets lucky, and you become more unlucky with your draws. This type of mechanic is a HUGH contradictory to the very mechanic of the card game itself. It is like some is visibly cheating and it's completely ok, but it's not. You do not screw with the luck ratio to increase difficulty. It is a lazy way to do so and in bird culture is considered a dick move. Work on giving the AI more "If then" call backs rather than turning it's luck to 11.

Thought it was a great game until the AI played a card called mech world or something like that and suddenly I was not allowed to attack it at all. Should have been able to attack the Outpost but double clicking on it only showed me the card instead of attacking it. The card itself said nothing about being indestructible or you not being able to attack your opponent. However once that card was in play it was impossible to win. That is either one seriously OP card or one hell of a bug.

Annoying campaign. I'm on mission 4 out of something like 100 and it takes 20 games and an hour to pass mission 3. Number 4 is even worse. Singleplayer is just no fun. Computer makes moves fast that end up doing 15-40 damage combos. Pretty game. The real game is fun, this version is not.

A lot of the poor reviews are due to not understanding the cards. This I a very addictive game. I bought it in January and have played over 4000 games this year.

The AI needs to be balanced. Even on medium, you will maybe win 1 out of every 20 games. The AI always gets the cards it needs and can somehow always do 40+ damage per turn. You just can't beat that. I own the actual card game which is AMAZING, and was hoping this would be too, but until the AI is fixed, this game is borderline unplayable.

Good game. No bugs. Sounds are mediocre. Campaign mode lame because they just setup unfair matches to compensate for weak AI so skill has little to do with winning. But head to head mode is fine.

Good game, but won't let me buy expansion. I put in forgot password and they don't send email. Sent email to support that I couldn't log in and got no response. Its like they just don't want my business

As a big fan of card games i am really sorry to rate this app 2 stars, bcs its really good. I own physical cards as well, but i just cant play game which autocasts ALL abilities on ships and bases. This app totally ruins Central Office + Freighter combo. Pls add option to turn off autocast of Ally abilities and i rate 5 stars and buy full game instantly. thanks

This game is incredibly weighted towards the AI. While the basic gameplay is very similar to Ascension, the mix of abilities here is not intuitive, leaving you always lagging behind the opponent in generating enough power to win. The A.I. seems to have absolutely no trouble generating 15 to 20 damage to your forces per turn with basic units, however.

The card game is great, the app is terrible. Notifications (both push and in-game) work once out of 4 times. The UI is clunky and hard to read, even after the UI update (before it was even worse, if you can believe it). Games don't sync properly between devices. I have online games that appear only on my tablet but not on my phone and vice versa. The campaign has some nice missions with interesting rules, but most of the times it's horrible, lazy design: an exercise in frustration with you playing at a monstrous disadvantage against the AI and repeating until you get the cards you need (you can understand during the first 2-3 turns if the game is going your way or if you should just restart to save your time). I have hard time believing somebody actually played the boss missions and said "Wow! This is totally not frustrating trash"

Boy, lots of unwarranted negative reviews here. The game is fantastic... give it a chance.

This game is compete and utter bull. I cannot believe the insulting gameplay this game provides. The RNG that this game has is undeniably stacked against you. Always. Every single game that you will play, just know that no matter what, the computer will always draw the cards it needs to win while you will never, ever, experience that same developer-given luck. It doesn't matter if you have 40 points left in defense, the computer will always pull the cards it needs to beat you. It's the most ridiculous case of manipulation of gameplay that I've seen in a mobile game. I'm so done with this game. Medium difficulty is a joke, a soft ball pitch to you, while hard is just stupid. It's not hard at all to win, if you're the computer. Sure, the computer still has all of his scouts and vipers, but guess what. That dude will still pull his best cards whenever he puts down a draw 1 card. It's dumb, it's stupid, there's no such thing as a close game, there's no sense of joy from winning. The only way to win is to waffle stop the computer by having fortunate RNG. I was considering buying some more expansions but if this how dumb the game treats the players with the base set, then what retardation awaits players when they have more cards? Nope, I'm done. Bye-bye.

Great game but the resent spell of game glitches has ruined it for me. Can't even open the app now, it just immediately crashes.

4.75/5 Good variety of cards would like to see the rest added there are some really strong cards that the physical game has that aren't on here. Would be nice to be able to change starting life totals to be able to challenge people to a longer game, and a message/chat system would also be nice

I really enjoy this game however I would like to see a friend list or something I could add people to that I know IRL instead of trying remember their in game name, also the capacity to play up to 4 players would be cool as I do with the my physical copy!

The new update is great but the constant crashes and glitches need to be fixed asap.
