Played on a Galaxy Note 5 running 6.0.1, I really like this Monument Valley like game, it's far better than other imitations. I took off 1????because it lacks the S Pen SDK for Galaxy Note Phones. It has a good Zen like soundtrack that sounds best with ear buds. Please add the S Pen SDK and I'll rate it 5????. Monument Valley is S Pen compatible.

The music and graphics are both beautiful, there is no time limits, so the game is, I found, very relaxing in a Zen kind of way. If you read what it tells you to do and take notice of at the start of the game, you will find the puzzles very simple. The game took me about an hour. Really good game to relax to when you're stressed. Hope there is more to come.

Very very fun and engaging. I need these games not only to stimulate my mind but also take me away from the stresses of the day. This game does both! I wish there were more levels. I would be happy to pay for an expansion pack.

W70%
by W####:

An amazing and mesmerizing game. The graphics are beautiful and the sound effects add to the atmosphere. The levels are challenging and force you to look at things from a different perspective. My only criticism is that there aren't enough levels! I could play forever!

T70%
by T####:

Such a simple but complex game. Beautifully crafted and displayed. This is a wonderful puzzle game that twists the mind as you try to resolve the impossibility of what you see and what you have to do. It is so addictive you have to keep going. Each level seems to delight and surprise. All thanks to the developers who put all this together. How they conceived the geometric contortions I have no idea but they have achieved a wonderfully taxing and absorbing game. First rate, thank you.

Like finding a bunch of additional, beautiful monument valley levels! Just what I was looking for. Game play took me just a few hours, but for 99 cents you really can't complain. ;)

T70%
by T####:

For the price is fine. I'm not expecting something equivalent or better than MV but, it would have been nice to have more challenging puzzles... I played from 1 to 11 with no effort at all , always thinking " ok , next level will be challenging" . Nope , not yet . I would gladly pay double or triple if it was more difficult.

S70%

It's a great game, but not exceptional. If compared with Monument Valley, Evo lacks of beautiful sceneries and fitting music or sound effect. The puzzle's great though. The game's too short and could be explored more. The ending also seems rushed and left me unsatisfied.

B70%
by B####:

Some different decisions/ideas to Monument Valley... But all of them worse. Not sure if it's worth the money but it takes Monument Valley and decides to give it a less interesting/relevant story along with less interesting/relevant characters. And it seems to throw away an early game mechanic, the one thing that really makes it different in it's own light. Should've focused more on the 'path exists if you cannot see it' that's your USP and you barely use it, even when you do it's used in the same way every time.

T70%
by T####:

This game is perfect if you want more Monument Valley! The levels, while challenging, are never obscure or unfairly difficult. The controls can be finicky, like they're as tripped out in these levels as you are, but it only takes a few tries at most to click the right object. I just wish the story were a little deeper, and the architecture and colors could have deviated a little more from MV, while still being reminiscent of Escher. Overall, left me wanting more!

J70%
by J####:

Obviously inspired by monument valley, this easy to pick up and play puzzler was a joy. The controls weren't satisfactory when using the spinners (not the gears) where it became difficult to adjust the levels the way you wanted to. I look forward to this studio's next game.

T70%

So very derivative of Monument Valley, but without the artistry, intriguing challenges and lovely narrative. I wish I'd just sent my money to ustwo to encourage another level for Monument Valley.

T70%
by T####:

Fun game with good puzzles. The comparisons with you-know-what are inevitable and justifiable; even though the stories are very different the game mechanics are very similar. That doesn't make the game any less enjoyable, though. Basically, if you enjoyed Monument Valley you should enjoy this.

I liked it but did prefer Monument Valley...some challenging levels. I wanted to be stuck on a level for a couple of days..just didn't happen. It was fun but I wouldn't say great.

I would have given this little game a 5 star review even b4 play just bc of the Dev's great attitude. I'm now done...still 5 stars! It's fun, tricky enough, & just too short (lol!). While it's not the fancy and mystical MV-level back story, Evo's adorable adventures with the Byte people won me over in their own charming way. Looking forward to future endeavors!

No one can say that evo is not inspired in monument valley, however, evo picks a lot from echochrome, much more than m.valley did making it much more challenging. Its also amazing how talented the team is. The quality of the game is very high. Dont expect to find a crappy copycat here. This is a must have piece of art!

This game is addictive. One you start lvll 1 you just can't stop ✋ till lvl 14. And just have no choice but to wave Lil evo bye

X70%

Great game. Should not be compares to Monument Valley. Monument Valley is a story of redemption while this is an exploration of one planet by a Droid? from.another world Not even the drawings are similar. Each story has its own merits and so each should be judged on those merits and not trying to make them the same I believe the only change is being able to save exactly where you stop in the game rather than having to start the level over every time you come back to the game. Thank you for great work.

After playing monumental Valley, this game is not engrossing; but if you are playing before monumental Valley this game is nice with good controls. Some say it might be a copy of MV, whether it is or not it is worth playing. Played some levels and only regret is the music which could have been better and louder.

I don't understand the bad ratings this is a great game. I don't like puzzle games because usually the Creator makes them too difficult to play but this game is different it's challenging but not complex and it keeps you guessing how to get from one point to the next. Great work guys well worth the money, I'll be waiting on part 2.

As good as monument valley? Um, no. MV has bigger environments, better artwork, better music, more puzzle elements ( wind, water, timing), more play variety, more mind blowing geometry. But EE has some wonderfully crafted puzzles, harder than MV in the end. My biggest gripe is the tape can be hard to control.

B70%
by B####:

If I hadn't played Monument Valley, I might have given this a five star. However in comparison this game isn't as creative or beautiful as MV. I beat the entire game in under a couple of hours and the story line is pretty weak. There was only one level that made me smile from creativity (number 13). All in all, still a fun game, but left me wanting more... -------*** EDIT *** Updated to 5 stars for two reasons. This games gives you tons of Play XP just for playing it, and there are hidden secrets

T70%
by T####:

Of course it's inspired by Monument valley, the programmers admit that. It's not as involving, clever or poetic. Nevertheless it's still worth a punt with some decent levels. Most are very easy. But it's a good time waster & cheaper too, if u need an MV fix.

If anyone loved Monument Valley, has played all the expansion levels and is still looking for more of the same classic puzzle gameplay, this is the closest you will get to the real thing. With the addition of some welcome puzzle elements such as what I will call the "Bloxorz" cassette tape thing, this game feels right at home for MV fans and will keep the magic from the original game going on a while longer. The difficulty of this game is perfect in my opinion and I look forward to the sequel. Good job!

N70%
by N####:

Sure, you gave us "what we wanted": more Monument Valleyish levels. But even though the puzzles in this game are harder and take longer to complete, these puzzles lack the distinctness and polish that made the original MV so great. Every puzzle looks and feels the same. This also counts for the story. It is longer and more personal than in MV, but it lacks the mystery. All in all in my opinion a bad copy made to squeeze money out of MV fans.

I had no bugs or any problems like that (I am on a moto e so I can't say anything about other devices) Fun, beautiful little game. Puzzles hard enough to get me thinking but I never got completely stuck.

T70%
by T####:

Love the game and reiterating other reviews that this is identical to Monument Valley and in some ways better and some ways not so. My main criticism is the music, it's a bit grating after a while, it's not as gentle as MV but otherwise a solid game with hopefully more to come in a sequel.

T70%
by T####:

This game was really disappointing, mostly because it was such an obvious and unimaginative copy of Monument Valley, without any of the magic or inventiveness in different levels. Same general mechanics, only really easy levels, very obvious and repetitive. The "story" was so formulaic I thought it was a joke. If it wasn't so obviously copying MV I wouldn't have been as disappointed.

I love puzzles and and this game was really hitting the spot but was very disappointed that there are only 14 very short levels....please create more for free on this app as I really don't feel I got my moneys worth at all.. 50 level and it would of been a 5 star

V70%

Congratulations to the developer! I know how much effort and passion goes into developing high quality games. My recommendation would be to make the levels connected. Go from one level to another to make the game feel more continuous. Also would be nice to have an auto generated, never ending type of level that combines all the tricks and becomes more difficult.

Even though the main character resembles Wallee I felt no empathy for him or any of the digital people. The beauty of the environment was lacking and the puzzles seemed laborious rather than fun. They should keep trying though because puzzle games like this are few.

T70%
by T####:

Lovely game inspired by Monument Valley, but with somewhat tougher puzzles. It doesn't have the quality ambient sounds of MV, but overall it's a fantastic game. Can't wait for more episodes!!!

E70%
by E####:

Not bad, but lacks the feeling and aristic design of Monument Valley. Some puzzles are unbalanced, and there is no deepening of story or sense of exploration. Only another puzzle to solve.

T70%
by T####:

While it seems like a monument valley clone it has a lot of original touches. The puzzles aren't as hard, but it's fun to play if you're looking for more perspective puzzles.

E70%
by E####:

It was fun and entertaining enough but there wasn't much deviation, nothing new to figure out at each level. Still, for the money it provided enough entertainment. Looking forward to more.

W70%
by W####:

This is a good game..very similar to momentum valley and the dream machine. It didn't get 5 stars as it only gave me an hours worth of game play, but with more levels it would be worth money.

T70%
by T####:

So very derivative of Monument Valley, but without the artistry, intriguing challenges and lovely narrative. I wish I'd just sent my money to ustwo to encourage another level for Monument Valley.

T70%
by T####:

Yes, it looks a lot like Monument Valley, but it feels like more of a tribute than a copy. And unlike most of the games "inspired" by MV, which tend to copy the art/feel but have simple puzzles, Evo Explores has puzzles that will tie your mind in knots. It does more than live up to MV's legacy in that regard, and even builds on it with some clever tricks of its own. Definitely worth the dollar, and I'm looking forward to seeing what else this game designer comes up with!
