Carmageddon

The best game ever on PC and Android I have played this game for hours before and I really like it that I can do the same on my phone now. The best thing is that the game can be played and enjoyed for free. Cars get unlocked as you play thru levels and plenty of race tracks to play. Players also do not have to buy separate upgrades for each car as they get applied to all cars unlocked automatically. Must install and play for all race loving and carnage fans.

But that's entirely my device's fault. Last time I played the free version it was ported perfection. Physics immersion dirty thrills of domination. True to the original title on pc. I wanted to see this new version as the free content levels seemed to have changed or expanded. Def gonna try it on a friends devive for nostalgia. Nice work still I assume until then. Respects and gratitude.

This is awesome. Iconic PC game, so many childhood memories of obliteration. BUT. The sound doesn't work in game? Only videos have sound (intro, race win cuts cent etc). Samsung Galaxy S4, so should be fine for a 2014 game. Any thoughts devs? Thanks

Second most favorite games of all times. Why I say second favorite? Because the top most favorite game in my entire life is Carmageddon 2 Carpocalypse Now. I just can't wait till Stainless Games make an android adaptation for this glorious masterpiece of all times . The first carma is good and awesome, but the Carmageddon 2 is just legendary, with better mechanics, outstanding damage model and just perfect in each aspect of the game. Please guys, make it happen! :)

I used to play this endlessly on iOS: being the young 'un I am, I never experienced the original on MS-DOS; now it is on Android and free to boot! (I'm well aware it has been up here for a while). No ads (except for fake ads for the latest sequel); very optional IAP (unless you are really that impatient) and classic gameplay makes Carmageddon more than just 'worth it.' It should have stayed premium for what it's worth: not that I'm complaining.

I used to play this religiously in the 90s (still got the big box). I been trying for ages to get it to run well on modern pcs with Dosbox. This version is not too modernised, staying loyal to its roots. Only thing is it wont work with a bluetooth controller, apart from that... flawless. Yet again, Stainless have done a sterling job. Well done boys.

Plays fantastic on phone and tablet and feels just as it did back in the day. Plays well on touchscreen but would much prefer to use my sixaxis controller. Would be so grateful if controller support were implemented, additional draw distance slider would be nice too but let's not be greedy. As for the ad... it shouldn't bother any fans who can't wait for the new one ;) #edit# downrating because unplayable on Nvidia Shield. Controller support should have happened years ago now :/

The game is an amazing port, but I've only managed to successfully run it twice. Most of the time, the game just sits on the logo, looks like the latest patch not effective for me. Z3 compact d5803, 6.0.1, security patch level 1 may 2016. Guessing it's the ad server lookup as it will reliably play in airplane mode

Wont load up, stays at the stainless logo screen. Why release something and be SO proud of your "accomplishment" when it only works on half the devices it's installed on to?? Seriously. And don't blame my device bc it plays the most graphically taxing games out right now with no problem. Or why not do it like some developers and not even make installing an option for the people with devices that it wont work for?? Oh I know, bc you just want the most downloads possible.

I've never had the pleasure to play this gem on the PC, unfortunately. But here I am, playing it on my phone. Where do I begin? It's a game in which you drive around, racing through the city, running over cows and people who were unfortunate enough to be on the street while you're racing. Is it good? Some people claim this is one of the best games they've ever played. As for me? Well, I can't say it's the best, but it's certainly one of the best. It's fun, it runs native resolution, 60 FPS and it's free.

This game is great, a truly brilliant job at porting to mobile. Just as addictive as when I was a young lad playing it on the Amiga :) barely play max damage on the PC now I have this with me all the time! I seem to have an issue with purchasing being disabled though? I'm not sure if it's because my phone is rooted (came rooted) but even unrooting it says purchases disabled?

I would rate this perfectly if it offered bluetooth gamepad controls. It is a perfect recreation of the classic game, with a silky smooth frame rate and all the gameplay just how I remember it. I just happen to dislike virtual touch screen buttons, especially here where I keep missing them and thus screw up more than usually would! Overall though, still a fun and wonderfully addictive game

Amazing!!! The level of nostalgia is outstanding! This is an example of awesomeness to all developers and producers. Old classic successfully ported for mobiles, 100% free and with impressive compatibility. No ads except a popup image when booting the game. Awesome graphics, good controls and what's most impressive for me is that they didn't cut out any content. All maps and cars are here! Job well done! 10/10 recommended!! (Xiaomi Redmi4). There's only one negative thing about the game, no cloud synching (sucks to lose your game saves) and no achievements (that sweet sweet feeling).

Latest update totally killed it, now it just shows the Stainless Games shuriken and does nothing else. It was the only game I played, every once in a while, but I guess it's time to completely forget about it ... and gaming. Too bad I wasted money on this

So I remember playing this game when I was like 6 y.o, good times. But there's just one major issue with this game: NO SOUND. There is no sound whatsoever when I'm racing or when I destroy cars/kill everybody. OS is up to date and still no sound coming out of the game. FIX THIS GAME!!

I loved playing this in the late 90s. I had originally rated this 3 stars, but with the new updates and fixed controls, I've fallen in love again. The ads aren't intrusive, no requirement to buy DLC and updates are free and constant. This is how you port to mobile, take note developers!

What an excelent, EXCELENT port this is. If you ever told me that I would enjoy a game more if I played it on mobile rather than on console, I would've called you mad and never spoke to you again. But Stainless did it. With a classic no less! 100% free game. Runs perfectly. Lots of control options. All the nostalgia in the world. Thank you so much for this. Truly, thanks a lot.

I am LOVING Carmageddon again!! This version is actually better than the original PC game (especially the graphics!), which I'm going to buy again right now! :) This brings back TONS of memories of when I first bought this game with insane death, destruction & carnage! Well done developers! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Im VERY MUCH looking forward to the new Carmageddon! I hope there will be an Android version!

Back to my childhood. Superbly done although i miss the keyboard for controls ... but thats something i can fix myself with bt kb... i hope??? Update: keyboard doenst work and sound fails after 2 races ... back to my dosbox version which always works! ... byebye stars

First off, if the game's not loading for you, try starting it with wifi and mobile data turned off. Once you get to the title screen you can turn them back on again. Anyway, the game really is excellent. Feels just like the old days, even with the touch screen controls. For the curious, here's the biggest changes I've noticed: it's easier to stay upright (good), enemies are more aggressive in late levels (bad), and the Plow is replaced with the much-better Splat Pack remodel (awesome!). Definitely download this if you're a fan from the old days, or just a fan of demolition derby games in general. P. S.: Hey Stainless! How about the Splat Pack as DLC!?

My game used to freeze at the Stainless logo. To fix this, turn off wi-fi before booting up the app. Works fine afterwards. Stainless, please, fix this problem. It has something to do with ads, as it crashes/freezes when an ad should appear. Nice game btw hehheheh

I loved this game back in the 90's as a lad, and still one of my favorite all time classics. I just bought the ps4 version today didn't even realise it was available.. Brings back the good all the old memories, with a bit more detail.

...than smashing into an opponent, head on, at full speed! Only lost one star because of the freezing on the loading screen when online, and no in race sound on my mobile (Samsung Galaxy A3 - Android 5.0.2). I'm sure these are fixable and I absolutely love this game!

Amazing game. Mega fan of carmaggedom but I found it very annoying that the driver is non stop talking. Specially when ur driving fast.. it becomes really annying and you just wish for the guy to shut the f up. Aside from that.. awesome

Game won't launch after latest update. Please roll back or refund me. Had previously given this 5 stars. The problem being a (Unfortunately Carmageddon has stopped) error the second I try to launch the game.

Downloaded it three times to my ZTE Grand X 3. It runs the opening then sticks on the logo with the copyright. Clean strong wifi signal with data off. Nothing. To be certain I waited 30 plus minutes to see if it's just first time loading. Loved playing it years ago running it in DOS on my old laptop. Too bad.

I love this game but when the bald head shows and then the letter "S" it's just a frozen game. What is that purpose? I played this game for a long and this would happen. This latest update sucks. Can you please fix this problem?

After a recent update, the game stays stuck on the stainless logo screen after the intro. After some time I found out the game does run if I happen to be on airplane mode. Turning off wifi as one of the reviews stated didn't work for me. I hope theres an upcoming fix to this issue because this is a great classic game that I purchased when it became available on mobile. Now only if Carmaggedon 2 were avaliable on mobile.

Even if i have reinstalled new version, same problem. After the video intro and the logo, app remains frozen. I liked so much pc version. ... samsung galaxy alpha 2gb ram and android lollipop. Please fix: 5 star are for the game, 1 star for missing test and porting

I can't upgrade my car past the second upgrade. Even id i have the necessary cash and im level 79, so the third upgrade (available from level 75) should be accessible. I don't know why this happens.is this a bug?or do I have to pay for the upgrades? Then what's the matter with the cash I collect? Pls answer.

It plays the intro video then flashes the bald guy and finally gets stuck on the big "S" logo. Is that s for screw you we already took your money? Used to be fun.... when it worked... will never purchase from this developer again as they removed my purchase and went free to play? Wtf?

This is a fantastic port of Carmageddon! I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this was free, such a classic! If you want the best racing game on all of Google Play, give this one a shot. None others will allow you to have Max Damage.

The game is true to the original. I'm very pleased with the look and feel of the game, though the touch-screen controls can take some getting used to. I'd give it a better rating except I have no sound during gameplay. Movies co twin sound but not gameplay. Big drawback right there.

PLEASE fix the sound on Lolipop 5.0.1. This was my favourite mobile game until the latest update stopped sound working. I can't get any later software as I'm on a Samsung Galaxy S4 and it's the latest I can install.

It's a real blast from the past. I remember playing this game a lot when I was a kid (although version I played had zombies instead of humans). This is almost a perfect port of the old game. There are a few slight differences but I just loved it. I stayed up whole night playing it. A real nostalgia trip right here. The only suggestion that I would make is that steering controls should be about 50% bigger.

Disappointed... Really excited for this as the game was a childhood take back on my ps1 originally...but for some reason it will not pass the screen through to the main menu to even get started! Not amused....

Carmegeddon on my phone, sweet!. Looks dated compared to games nowadays but it has great controls and awsome gameplay. A classic then and now. Oddly I paid for the game in 2013 now it wants me to pay again for unlocks??

The game is well made, very similar too the original however the controls are useless. I spent most of my time trying to correct errors. A lot easier with a keyboard, controls didn't transfer well to touch screen

I played this when it was in its first run on the PC,it's a good port but needs the audio issues fixed, The claims that the no audio issue is due to an out of date device are false

I am sorry for doing this, but this game now does not start. I bought this game, and I am not sorry for it became free, because I gave the money to support one of the best game ports to Android. It worked flawlessly on my Xperia Play (where I intend to play it with Ginger Bread) But now I can not even play. It crashes on start. Please fix this, and I will change to 5 starts, as you deserve.
