This is a nicely presented, console-style chess game, where you go up against a series of opponents of increasing difficulties. It's essentially a JP chess games of the 16 bit era, with a contemporary graphics refresh. It's a sad reflection on the dire state of the chess games in the market that this is so appealing, but it does have some unique features. There are "chess acheivements" (yep!) in the form of medals that you win for beating the game under certain conditions. There is also a constant ticker-tape stream of nonesensical "Engrish" uttered by your opponent, which people like me who love import games will find charming and nostalgic.
