Tomb Raider I

Works great on my 4.5 year old HP touchpad 5 stars. Missing touch controls on my newer Droid RAZR HD. Unplayable. 1star. Also installs on Android TV but controls don't work. Odd because TR II works fine on Android TV.

Graphically, this game is absolutely stunning. Not only have edges on characters and in the environment been sharpened, but most of the textures in the game have been redone in high resolution. In that respect it is like experiencing the game again for the first time. But one thing this game is desperately in need of is gamepad support. The touch-screen controls are VERY challenging to use, and it takes a lot of practice before one becomes even moderately good at using them. You simply need the tactile input from real buttons to be able to control Lara well. That said, the touch controls do work like they are supposed to, with the exception of Lara's ability to turn in place when standing still. The game doesn't deal with that well. Also, the frame rate drops quite a bit in large areas, but most of the time this is brief and not a major issue. The only other negative thing I noticed is that the sound effects are delayed--they happen about a half a second after the action on-screen. Overall, this is an astonishingly good port, just pretty please, give us gamepad support!

The only thing I hear is the ambience in the game no battle music and I really like the music where she finds a tomb and beautiful music plays in the background for a while this plays it whenever it wants please fix it another thing it would be great if the controls had a small bit of vibration it just I feel comfortable with it. But I really enjoy playing this so much and I love tomb raider 2 as well..... please add tomb raider 3 I never played it I would love to see that come to android

1. There's a delay of about 0.5 sec for her to respond a control after we touch a button. 2. Shooting & jumping could be better if we could press jump by sliding the finger from action button while she continued shooting; she would stop shooting by getting the finger off the screen. With that fixed, I think the game would be just PERFECT!

I use to love playing Tomb Raider when I had it for the PS1. I find it easier to play this game with a game controller. Once the controller is connected, when you start the app and when it came onto the main menu, the options icons were spinning constantly when I press either left or right on the Xbox game controller and no way of stopping it at all. Also when I start a mission level, when you press a button to make Lara look around, it moves in the one direction and you can't move again! Please fix!!!

Damn it looks good. Controls look well laid out but will need getting used to. Love it so far thank you so much for doing the conversion to android. Top marks.

I love this game, but I often run into the problem of the game freezing my phone. The game doesn't just crash. It renders all the buttons on my phone useless, so can't restart my phone without taking my battery out. I'm just lucky my phone's battery is removable especially with how insanely often it happens. It has gotten to the point where the freezes are actually predictable but inevitable. Please fix this.

I've been playing this on and off for a while now. I've come to the conclusion that the controls are ok. They don't allow you to react how you can with a controller. The jump button is terrible. I can't jump right away. I have to wait till lara takes 3 or 4 steps. How am I supposed to get a running jump on small platforms where you have a time limit? I can't set lara up to jump. Takes to long. Fix the jump reaction time please.

Once you reconfigure the controls to your liking, this game becomes brilliantly playable. In fact I was surprised how playable it was on the small screen, though if you had problems controlling the original, this is unlikely to improve things for you. Framerate can be a bit erratic on the Note 4, but never unplayable.......great job. The Lost Artifact next?

I am a long time Tomb Raider fan, & I enjoyed the game up until I reached the part in the Atlantis level where she is supposed to get across the timed bridge, through the timed door, in order to end the level. The problem is that the control pad is not set up for her to get to both switches in time to get across the bridge & through the door before it closes, & the bridge collapses. That leaves her stuck in that level, and that is unfair! I would give this game a 5 otherwise!

Good thing I got a Lollipop tablet since my Kitkat became incompatible. The main issues that had bothered me are indeed gone. Although Lara is fairly hard to control, players need to realize that veterans had to deal with the same control scheme in 1995. It's built in. Can't do anything about it without compromising gameplay.

I currently have the app installed on an Xperia z3 and have already starred running into problems, like the game crashing, it all starred on level 1 when you reach the two bridges above the wolves, because this is such an open room the game is struggling to keep up with the controls and just freezes, I close the game and reopen but it still crashes. Hopefully an update will sort this out soon but until then im dissapointed

Tomb Raider's is one of the games I have followed for a long time, I've played the PC version which I enjoyed thoroughly, so I got excited and was looking forward to playing Tomb Raider on my HTC One. The graphics and sound are like the PC version. However, the difference? My PC version did not freeze up at the fist level, and it certainly didn't cause the whole system to shutdown and reboot itself. I'm bummed. Please, I'd like to have my $0.99 back.

I completed gta San Andreas on my phone because the controls make sense for a touch screen device. Floating joystick on the left. Swipe anywhere on screen to turn camera. That's how it should be, and that's how it is on the majority of mobile games of this nature. Glad this was only 10p

As title suggests joypad its brilliant strange on touch screen can run it but just isn't fun touch screen be like 3/5 joypad gameplay 5/5 big difference. To get this to run smoothly its a 2gb device min I have a quad core so am unsure if it'll work on dual core 2gb ram device? (If ever a phone?) I have had it in 1.7 dual core 1gb ram and it didnt work so your guess really. It's a good experience just like the ps1 days worth the price 99p no more or less I normally put it on in the mood pass time does th job

bluetooth joystick detection dodgy with madcatz mojo console. L2 r2 triggers detected but l1 and r1 buttons non responsive. I had to change controls so walk was on left thumb triggers. To detect madcatz controler I have to connect another cheaper bluetooth controler I have before it is detected. Despite all these flaws Tomb raider is a classic, of which I owned and loved the original on the PC.

One of the machine cogs just 'disappeared' in lost valley, then when I gave up and restarted game it launched in Egypt levels. Such a shame as it seemed like a decent port. But if developer is not proactively fixing basic gameplay glitches it is utterly pointless to put any time into playing.

... but without the bugs we all grew to love...lol. Anyways I would give 5 STARS if I could open game on a different device to where I left off. Really annoyed with this because I was 75% through game on old phone but when I opened it on new phone, it starts right up as new game. Even when opened through Google Play, which has my achievers recorded for this game. FACEBOOK games have this feature, and they're FREE!!! I HOPE THIS GETS ADDRESSED! I'd gave given only 3 stars but I love Lara too much!

Loved playing this - not only a great bit of nostalgia but it also stands up really well as a mobile game. The controls take a bit of getting used to and can sometimes be erratic, but nothing ​that prevented me from completing the game.

Tried to play twice now an it freezes and reboots my phone. First game I've ever paid for. I'm gutted. Love love love Tomb raider and was looking forward to having a portable version. Is there anything I can do to make it run smoothly?

Tomb Raider requires critical thinking on the players part to solve the games many hardened puzzles. This is not a game meant for the casual gamer; the learning curve for the controls combined with the plethora of ways to die can prove discouraging for those who're used to games that provide more leeway. On the other hand, veterans of the series will be INCREDIBLY pleased how polished this port is despite some inconsistencies with the frame rate. Recommended for the tried and true gamer.

If anything tomb raider is too long, this is huge value for money and a great port of a classic. Took me 6 months to complete and took me right back to my youth. Controls can be fiddly, but shouldn't put you off.

Constantly reboots my phone. I like the game, but, since I can't play it for more than a few minutes without it restarting my phone, I am uninstalling it and calling it a loss... For such a huge company to release this, it looks like soon, it won't be so huge... Sell your stock now...

Why is there no game save cloud backup I haven't finished this game because of it. If had to format my phone a few times and now I've gotten a new phone and have to start all over again

A pretty nice port of the original game, with all the atmosphere and wonder of the original. The texture work is pretty nice for a port. My only gripe is the control pad. Its hard enough already to pilot a Lara Croft, but its damn near impossible to turn while running which makes time puzzles a nightmare.

Needs fixing always sticking and when swimming I keep dying as it's stuck in one button.. please fix it as tomb raider is a cool game and many people love it

I love tomb raider. I grew up with these games. But i need help. Im only on level 3 lost valley. Ive collect all three clogs but it says i only have two. Ive recheck all the spots were i first collected them repeatedly an nothing. Im stuck there is a missing clog from my inventory. What do i do.

I'm not blaming the developer, but after transferring the game I bought on my phone to a new one, I find when I attempt to open the game (on the new device), I simply get a message saying "Download failed because the resources could not be found". Please tell me how to resolve this, as I'm not willing to pay £2.99 again for a game that it appears I cannot transfer to a new device! Many thanks

Despite advertising this game supports Moga controllers it doesn't. Mode A doesn't work at all and the trigger buttons don't work in mode B (HID mode). This game was never designed for (badly designed) on screen controls so it's now unplayable.

Keeps saying "please allow app to read expansion files on shared storage". I click retry and it repeats continuously..... Haven't got past this point yet

WARNING! Do not buy this game for the Nvidia Shield TV. The controller does not work with it. Which is remarkable because they're selling this game on the Nvidia Shield TV store to play on the Nvidia Shield TV. I reported this issue to them earlier this year and back and forth on email we discussed it. Eventually they concluded there is no fix and gave me a refund. That's unacceptable! They seem to not care that they're selling a product on a service that won't work for the buyers.

It takes a minute to get used to the controls and lags just a little but so awesome. Exactly the original. Nostalgic and fun. Now we just need my other favorite old school Tomb raider. The last revelation! :)

Total balls got through five levels in one sitting came across a key and when I used it. The door didn't open and the key is now gone so I can't progress without starting all over again waste of time and money don't bother

The game is originally awesome because I grew up playing it. But the controls are absolutely horrible. Can not get pass the pillars that shoot flames out because the controls stick. I would appreciate a refund to my PayPal account or please just fix the controls. Thanks

I love this game. But I'm stuck right now. I went for a running jump and accidentally hit the back button which auto saved the game. Now everytime the game loads I'm in the middle of the air about to die. How do I fix this?!

Excellent port, the controls require some perseverance but then they always did! My only fault is that I couldn't finish Unfinished business because it crashes right at the end of the Atlantean Stronghold level when you do the big jump down into the pyramid. Is there a level skip so I can bypass the crash? When are we getting TR3?

Well, I plunked down my 99 cents and it installed it. Unfortunately it crashes right after the intro credits.

Finally, supports Shield ATV. Full port with added achievements. This game is glitching can't get pass third level.

!!IMPORTANT!! SHIELD CONTROLLER USERS...unplug all usb devices reboot and restart game first*. credit to francois on the other page for figuring this out. So far so good, All in high res, and camera/movement controls are just as clunky as ever and dont forget to manually save, autosaves are infrequent.. but its a quid f*k it...XD *EDIT just had to unplug my usb keyboard.

Made me remember my childhood I was 6 when I first played this game. I always got my ass kicked lol
