FINAL FANTASY TACTICS : WotL

Final Fantasy Tactics is my favorite game in the Final Fantasy series. I've played both of the previous versions and had great fun with it :), so I was very glad to see it available on Android. I'm happy to say, that it works great on my LG Nexus 5X. The touch commands are mostly intuitive and the game plays without hiccups. I like the auto pause feature, even though I don't rely on it (saving after every battle in case something goes wrong). All in all still a great game and I'm looking forward to complete it again :)

Newest update is an improvement. The wuicksaving could use work similar to how it is on the iOS port still. It'll save but not mid combat like it does on iOS, instead it'll bring you to the last point on the map. Cloud saving is still a must though with how interchangeable devices are nowadays. Another feature the iOS version has that we are not fortunate enough to use. Even just making the save files accessible without rooting would suffice.

The good: Graphics are smooth and quick, cutscenes added to pivotal story moments, music is crisp, and nostalgia is 10/10. Probably one of my favorite tactics RPG's and definitely in my top 5 FF games. Great port! The bad: NO CLOUD SAVING. Recently switched devices and will have to start over. Could you please add cloud saving for porting across devices? I'd pay an extra fee for that. Seriously. Do that and I'm sure every 1 star will become a 5.

Pretty sold port here. Many things that I remember from the classic PS1 version. I have only had the game crash once since install and use on both my tablet and Note 4. Not as bad as some reviews seem to imply. The only thing I wish this had was a login ability so I can share the game across multiple devices. With that, this would be a 5 ☆ effort.

I love this game, it is one of my all time favorites. The Android version is a great port and it runs really well. The only issue is that there is no way to backup saves without rooting your phone. That means if your phone breaks or you upgrade then all of your progress is gone. The IOS version already has cloud saving which makes this even more frustrating. I would easily rate this game 5 stars if this were fixed.

Final fantasy tactics was one of my original favorite games from back in '97. This is merely a graphical upgrade with new cut scenes, dialog, new jobs and characters, and increased difficulty in regards to improving your characters. One of my favorite improvements is the use of the touchscreen. It is very well suited to this kind of game. It's a highly intuitive control system compared to the original.

A fun game that I've played on many platforms. This version however has it's issues. Sometimes it is difficult to move your character where you want to with the finicky camera. Also, why can't I move this game onto my SD card? I have a lot more room there than on my internal storage. 3/5. It's okay. Older versions were better.

I love this game. I loved it on PlayStation and this port works pretty well for the most part. My only complaint is the app crashing on me during my battles. It's done this about 3 times so far in the 2 weeks of playing it. Iv learned to save my progress after every battle but still. For $12, I don't think I should be having these problems. I'm running it on a galaxy s8

Solid port, runs great other than the fact you lose your save files. I've lost them twice due to updates or errors. This small problem makes it basically unplayable for me. Please fix this. I want to play without losing my saves!

The game keeps hanging like post-battle when a conversation is about to happen. The animated scenes of the story doesn't even play out and the only way for me to continue playing is to skip. I hear nothing when that happens and the only scene I've watched was the very first one. The initial loading screen also shows me a loading pop-up designed from Android KitKat... Why.... I love this game, honestly... I played it on an iPad before and it was the best, but now, on a OnePlus 5... It can't run properly on a Snapdragon 835 with an actual GPU? Uhm...?

The game is great... But you cannot cloud save and without root you can't manually backup the save file either. Until this game gets a cloud save option like the other FF games I'll keep steering people away. Nothing like a crashed phone losing 10s of hours of play.

That's the message that will break your spirit again and again. Could happen in the middle of a battle or as you're allotting JP afterwards. Either way, it's a big problem. Fix it and 5 stars all day. And cloud save, please!

What's not to love in FFT? This game is perfection; amazing story, characters, animations*, music/sound*, it's one of the best strategy games of all time, and no other tactical game beats this. What sucks is that this port has butchered the game. All of the animations/sound are out of sync, the sound effects are TERRIBLE, and it drains your battery like a sinkhole over a lemonade stand. Than again, whats not to love in playing FFT anywhere your phone is?

First time playing this game. Love some other FF games but this one is rough. Horrible controls on touch-screen screen. The camera angles make it impossible to move where u would like. Tutorial is lacking and progression is slow compared to the caliber of enemies u face. Spend your money on another installment.

The game is fantastic and the port to android didnt hurt it much. My only real issue is the touch controls leaving much to be desired and no gamepad support. If they added gamepads id give controls a 5. Add gamepads square!

So I'm liking the game alot. However, I'm using a lg g5 and when I play I always have the back arrow, home screen, and the square to bring more pages up. It cuts off a noticeable chunk.. Is there a way to get rid of it?

This is one of the greatest rpgs of all time. The story, characters, dialogue, battle system and job leveling, this game hits everything on point. My favorite and almost more fun than FF7. Ramza the real MVP but heart goes to Delita...

The special treatment iOS gets over Android with cloud saving is a joke. One of my favorite games of all time, and I felt obligated to drop a one star rating because you can't be competent enough to implement something as common place as cloud saving, and it's almost 2018. Good job.

Great rendition of the old games. The crash issue was enough to drive me insane. Really the only complaint is the camera can sometimes be frustrating to align and click on certain squares. Otherwise great!

Game is great up until it crashes. I always get this weird crash where someone does an action in battle (attack,magic,some sort of skill) and it freezes then crashes. Normally it's okay since it has save files but all those exp in battle are lost. I've froze up 5 times on the same battle and kinda lost the will to keep playing. Hoping a fix will come through. (On Note 8 with latest android 7 firmware)

Cloud saves are a NECESSITY, turns out i buy the game and it cant even be played on the galaxy tab E so i try to download it on my galaxy S5 and i HAVE TO REPAY what i payed? Im using my same google account yet i have to pay again to have on another device because it wont work on where i orginally downloaded it. This is uncalled for, money grubbing company, Ridiculous honestly. I love FFwotl but come on. Get it together SE APP team!

Lack of cloud save, in today's day and age is inexcusable. The save files are marked as private so you can't even do it manually as a work around. Lame

Out of all the Tactics games coming from Squeenix, this one will always hold the highest place in my heart. Great conversion onto mobile, the controls are simple, story phenomenal, class and combat system easy to understand. A must play for any FFT fan.

The game itself is amazing, and the controls are passable. But you guys need to add cloud saving. I lost my save file when my phone acted up and I had to reset it. That's hours of game play lost due to a lack of a common feature. Where's the developer support? When it gets cloud saving I can give it a full 5 stars. Pay an intern pennies on the dollar to code a mediocre one that let's you email the file you yourself or something rudimentary at least. I would really appreciate it and the app can get my endorsement if you fix this one thing.

Fantastic game and a great port. Controls are a little hard to get used to but once you do, this might be the definitive way to play this game. My only complaint is the frequency of game crashes; for me, the game probably crashed every 4 or 5 battles. Still can't recommend enough

I love this game. Controls aren't that bad for a port. Used to play this non stop on PlayStation. Crashes every once and a while on the Google pixel 2 which is super lame and annoying but since I have stopped grinding for hours in battles it has subsided for now. As long as it doesn't crash to much more I would say it's perfect. It does fun very fast caught me off guard but I kinda like it.

Can't play. I can't play past the initial mission without the game crashing. Tactics is literally my all time favorite title in the Final Fantasy series and it's a major disappointment not to be able to play it on my mobile device. Money lost.

Loved playing the nostalgia and that I am able to play it on any android os. But the game lacks a cloud saving system to be able to play your current saved state between the owner's tablets and smartphones.

This is the best FF in the series, at least for me it is... and I've been playing since the 1st came out. The controls aren't great, but they work alright with a stylus.

Initially unplayable due to crashes and other issues, but newest update seems to have worked. It's still missing sound effects (the cursor clicks), but my favorite game of all time is playable. Thank you Google, and thank YOU Square-Enix.

loved this gsme since ps1. runs smooth on my android. only problem i have is that it wont let me change storage location. it only goes to internal. and for those who change their phones lose their progress. and it takes up internal space which is what i dont want.

One of my favorite games of all time however the mobile version is not particularly friendly with controls. As I would expect it be a little difficult to implement decent controls for a mobile version of this game, however the controls are worse than i imagined.

Give me cloud saving and I will change the rating. It's just bogus that cloud saving is possible on iOS and not om Android.

I love this game. Always have since it first came out on PS1. My only wish, mild as it may be, is controller support simply for the fact that I can play this game for hours! So future update wink wink nudge nudge ????

Constantly crashing on an S7 Edge. Love the game, hate doing the same battle mutiple times due to crashes. Big FF fan, played this as a kid, please fix.

Bought this game over a year ago and have not been able to play it a single time. It crashes as soon as i click on the app. Demanded a refund about a month ago and still no response. Latest update still does not fix... damn shame, i love this game.

My only complaint about this game is that it still doesn't support cloud saving or some other non-root means of backing up your saves. I've grinded my way into the 70's twice while in the early stages of chapter 2 and lost my saves. One loss of saves was because I changed devices and the other was because my game somehow corrupted and required a reinstall. Don't get me wrong, I still love this game, but that is a LOT of hours to lose. I've had the psp version for several years and have literally logged more hours on it than the software can count. I would likely do the same on here if i didn't have to worry about my saves being lost. It's not a high risk issue, but the fact that it has happened twice after putting so much time into each save deters me from staring again.

The game is hot garbage. Magic casting time? Mana doesn't regen in battle? What!? The game is a HUGE step back from the greatness of FFTA and FFTA2. Ugh. How is this game so acclaimed!?

I think the new ui for rating has achived a far worse bechmark than 1=5 stars that being said id recommend trying aids before this "port" no controller support ended my care to try this. Oh well id rather one less class and antiquated awkward 3d fmv's than play a game ment for a controller on a TS. Square and everyone else who toyched this turd should be ashamed. Looks like my google cards that i didnt add will be getting sold. Cause the other titles i wanted have the same lack of controller support. Summary do yourself a favor and buy epsxe.
