About 3D Donnington Castle VR Demo
Have fun and learn with this demo of a virtual walkthrough of Donnington Castle with interactive features and a quiz. It’s a truly immersive interactive VR experience created for 3D headsets like Google Cardboard, Durovis Dive and more for a great user experience!
The Donnington Castle Virtual Reality (VR) Demo App provides an immersive educational experience, similar to a Google Cardboard Expedition. You can visit the Castle and explore it in all it’s former glory. The castle and gatehouse have been re-imagined the way they were in the 12th Century AD. You can cross the moat to visit the castle and it’s surroundings. Inside the castle open the first door on the left to enter the gatehouse which has a number of interactive features. You can unlock the trunk by the fireplace to participate in a quiz and have the opportunity to add your name to the leaderboard.
The navigation through the App is simple. You can look at items for a few seconds to select it. Looking down at your 'virtual footsteps' activates your forward movement. Looking down again stops the movement. Alternatively you can use a compatible bluetooth joystick/game controller (for example Snakebyte's idroid:con or Nyko's PlayPad Pro) to control the forward movement. To turn, you simply need to turn your physical body to look in a different direction.
This interactive VR demo app works across all compatible headsets – Google Cardboard, Google Cardboard 2, Durovis Dive, etc)
Enjoy!

I am sick because of this experience :( When the game started, I could not stop. I looked down at my feet again and again and again... It turned red and green and red and... but nothing changed. It was enough to give up and put the headset to the desk to have some rest. After some seconds I tried to continue and I saw it had stopped. OK, then be happy and use the (I got it with "VR Box", MOCUTE-032) gamepad... I thought. When I pulled the button to go somewhere and moved my head it was terrible. The screen followed my head some strange way. I cannot explain it, but it was very bad. Then I released the button and the screen drifted so much. It was worse then a carousel. Please, do something with this app... (Sony Xperia Z2a, Android 5.1.1)
