Pit your sheepshead skills against One Eye Jack, Crack Meister, Ace No Face and Queen Betsy. Sheepshead, THE Game is a fun, challenging and easy to use Sheepshead card game in which you play against four computerized players. The game supports Called Ace or Jack of Diamonds as partner. Blitzing and cracking adds to the excitement. You can have the game speak the results of the hand.
Tap a card to play or discard the card. The game plays only in portrait mode for phones and only in landscape mode for tablets.
There are 2 ways to try out the game before you buy. First, there is a a Free Trial of the game on the Google Play App Store. This app will give you a 3 day free trial of the game. Secondly, if you own a Windows pc, you can download the game on to your pc and play the game for 7 days free. Both versions of the game use the same card playing logic engine as the Android paid version of the game. This will give you a good feeling as to how well the game plays the cards. However, not all features in the Windows PC version are in the Android versions. See the developers website link for more information.

The Beginner mode of play has the following features
A Suggest button to help determine your play
How many trump are left
How many points the picking team has
How many points the opposing team has
How many points were won on each trick
Interences as to whether the player is the partner or an opponent
2 methods to control the flow of the game
By clicking the play button after each trick
By setting a specific time between each trick
The option to allow the picker to go alone after picking (this is the default for Called Ace)
Statistics by player for the current game and historically for all games played
The option to play doublers if no player picks the blind or play leasters
The option to play Clubs as trump. Clubs replace the Diamonds (Seven of Diamonds through Ace of Diamonds) as trump
The option to blitz Black Queens and or blitz Red Queens and or blitz Black Jacks and or blitz Red Jacks
The option to allow the opposing team to crack and the picking team to crack back
The ability to view the cards of the last hand
The option to allow the game to play your card automatically for you on the sixth trick
The option to allow the game to play your card automatically for you when you have only one card of the suit led
The ability to control how fast the cards are played
The ability to change the player names
The ability to change the hands per game
The option to allow the computer to speak the contents of the message board
The option to determine when the game will identify the

I wasn't sure about spending $5 bucks on a card game. But, I was interested in this app's beginner mode for play suggestions to improve my game. When I first got the game the suggestions weren't working. Dave in customer service was extremely courteous, helpful and prompt with replies to my dilemma. Turns out all I needed to do was turn on notifications. I now love this app AND it's help desk!!! (Thanks again, Dave)

After the update it's almost impossible to win. When the AI picks and AI is partner they never lose and they pick all of the time.

Decent strategy for computer players. Main mistake I see is computer players try to take fail tricks with AD or 10D with picker behind them even if it's already been lead.

The game has tons of options and the AI is pretty good. It is a lot of fun and well worth the cost. It is seen a number of updates with new features being added each time. The only thing it lacks now is the ability to call missdeal if there is no face and no ace in your hand but that is a very minor issue.

Don't judge this book by the cover. While being the least visually appealing offering on the market it hands down has the best gameplay and options to it. One bug/glitch I noticed in the latest version is some games are clearly repeating themselves. I can cleaely remember playing a dealt hand a couple times over all with the exact same results.

I originally purchased this for my parents PC, and from there I saw the developer also had an Android version. Now I can play this awesome 5 person version anywhere! The developer is very easy to work with and adds well updates to an already awesome game. Thank you for this great game!

UPDATE - developer did a good job of fixing the AI not playing cards to take tricks when taking them would affect the outcome of the hand. Very impressed, it's almost as good as sitting around playing with my friends. Thanks for the updates! AI is acceptable on professional level. Only problem is that with jd partner, no call up, defender AI passes on taking tricks that it could take that would let defender win, or at least stop picker from leading trump.

Great game! A lot of available options to customize your game to how you like to play. I would suggest making some kind of tutorial to help players new to the game and maybe being able to customize the background. I highly recommend this game if you like playing sheepshead.

I've been searching for years for a sheepshead app and only found trump counters and scoring apps. This app is wonderful for playing sheepshead wherever you are. Only one suggestion: if there is a way to make it multiplayer, then this app would be simply perfect :-)

I am new to the game and am marrying into a family of lifelong players. With all the options in the settings of the game , I can make it easier play just like the family does (ĺeasters, anyone?). With the voice reading the plays, "suggest play" turned on, and doing a replay after the game, I will get the hang of this yet! Awesome game, worth every penny.

The A.I. doesn't play very well. And I don't like when your last card of a suit is automatically played.

Since Yahoo games eliminated their sheepshead game, this is about the best alternative to get your fix. I wish they would develop a game so we could play other live players.
