Sonic 4™ Episode I

I've was trying to get the Sonic 4 games a long time on my tablet since the very beginning, and when I finally did, I never regretted it, as the Sonic 4 games are my most favorite Sonic games ever on my tablet. Cool bosses, exclusive levels, catchy music, touch and tilt controls, and classic sonic gameplay and environments help make this Sega's best sequel to Sonic and Knuckles. Now waiting to buy Sonic CD on my tablet, if it comes back.. Hoping for the best!

Used to work fine and have a nice UI, not anymore. Now controller support is lacking, as you can only use the left analog to move and nothing else, even in the games menu's. 1 step forward and 5 steps backwards. This seems to be SEGA's direction these days. Give us 60fps (an absolute MUST for 2-D Sonic games,) and fixed controller support.

It works great now after the new update but I noticed something. All the sound effects are low pitched. Even the Sega chant is low pitched. The controls could also be bigger. Also sometimes when you get invincibility or speed shoes, the music will stop playing. If all issues are fixed, 5 stars.

I'm on the Nexus 6P and the game won't run. The screen flashes white and then turns black. I encourage anyone else with this issue to begin requesting refunds. Especially if you bought the game and it was broken outright, but you decided to wait patiently. That's the only way that SEGA will fix the game's bugs.

This game is not for the faint of heart or weaker spec devices! I feel the specs this game demands are why it has a bad rep but playing it on my Galaxy 5, this game plays perfectly and as a game itself; it's Sonic back to his classic roots! Great controls, Sega's ever so popular level designs and music rolled in together.

Compared to the quality of Sonic 4 Episode II on Android, this is really awful. The graphics are nasty, the sound effects are weirdly lower and the controls for special stages and the like are not good. I got this with survey money and I got it for Episode Metal (which luckily uses Episode II graphics, physics and sounds) which is very good. This port is disappointing because the original that I played on Wii was very good!

I love this game. It's really cool! I love the first boss. But, let's talk about Sonics power. Not speed, the OTHER power. Chaos emeralds. It is to hard to get them! Too hard! It is too hard to control tilting the device and ALSO. The time limit is far too short. On the first few emeralds. Yeah, I know it's not supposed to be EASY to get the chaos emeralds but it is WAY too hard! Please fix this, I can't imagine what collecting the seventh chaos emerald would be like with that difficulty.

I love and recommend this game. Was worried about the bad reviews with control problems, but the controls work just fine. I agree that Sonic could move softer, but the controls are exact which is all that matters to me. I also don't find it too difficult. For two dollars you really can't go wrong.

2 years and FINALLY an update so the game works on marshmallow and lollipop. It's a good game to, just a shame it took this long. I'll go up to 3 stars but I won't be buying another Sega mobile title in a rush. Oh and the game has sound bug. Music just stops when you get power ups.

Awesome game. It's a shame that it hasn't been updated for the latest generation of Samsung Galaxy phones. This and many other SEGA titles are not available for the S7. I will give 5 stars when these games are made available for my current device.

Top game, but it would be great if it had the same controller options as the sequel does. I use the CTRLR and while it can be used for movement, the buttons aren't mapped properly. Fix please!

Okay game, but you legit can't beat (well me anyways) Special Stage 4. I mean, bumpers every where, and using tilt, is so hard, as it makes it weird to see the screen, and swipe, THE SENSITIVITY IS HIGH! Can we lower it with a setting? I can't even swipe the screen without getting this glitch. PLEASE. Make it have good controls!

Good game but no longer works on my phone, I'm assuming this is to do with the android system as it works on my tablet. Please tell me Sega are working to fix this? Good try gets as far as selecting new game then stuck on loading screen.

Levels are well designed, but the controls let the game down somewhat. I also have an audio issue as I can hear the music but not the sound effects (coin collection etc) - Sony Z5.

In this updated version, when i complete e.g.g station zone, i get stuck on the loading screen i.e. the ending doesn't come after the loading screen. please fix this problem as soon as possible.

Part of what made me fall in love with this game was the second casino act. Watching Sonic fly across the level using a deck of cards as his magic carpet.....what the hell happened from console to handheld? I'm glad I didn't pay as much as I did for the X-Box 360 version. That one level made it SO MUCH better. EDIT- I got an update, expected the GOOD levels to be patched in. Nope. Removing one star for playing me for a fool.

I have purchased both Sonic 1 and 2 and love them. This versions controls are so terrible to the point it is frustrating to play. Do not buy.

It just sucks. The controls are terrible, the special stages are crap and Casino Street Act 2 Sucks more than Eggmanland. I wouldn't buy this game it blows.

This game is enjoyable, much better than the mobile version of the original game. But I'm disappointed in 2 things. First, my Zeemote doesn't completely work, the only thing the game picks up is my left joystick. Second, controlling Sonic is a bit laggy. If either of the two can be fixed, that's be great.

Working on my Galaxy note 5! For users that have it hanging on the loading screen try uninstalling it completely and reinstalling! When it tries loading make sure your device doesn't go to sleep. Eventually it will load! Happy gaming to all! ;)

The controls are very wonky and seem very slow. It at times makes progression impossible thanks to how easy it is for the game to think you're trying to spin dash instead of jump or simply run. And why does it take forever to gain running speed? It seems like sonic is carrying a huge load when he moves.

Game stutters sometimes and causes sound to Sutter like when you got invincible power up music cuts in and out. And no moga bluetooth controller support? Please fix.

my game keeps crashing on the minecart level. when i hit alot of objects like the checkpoints or breakable rock walls, it crashes. i hope this hells u guys in fixing it...everything else is running smoothly but this is keeping me from seeing any endgame stuff.

Game works quite well and doesn't drain the battery like most games. Controls need a little work and the physics are really bad though. Very delayed and sometimes unresponsive.

Touch and tilt controls are piece of crap. Why can't I use gamepad anymore without mapping? Why it was keep on crashing until I completely reinstall everything, including erasing of all game saves?

Wish i could give it no stars at all don't bother wasting your money if you have lg g3, i know its not a new phone but neither is this game i bought the game probably over a year ago and its never worked Sega should probably get sued for clearly l selling people a product that doesn't work how many hundreds of thousands of dollars are in Sega's bank account from costumers that got a game that has never worked

this a pretty decent sonic game but I don't like the fact that this game does not have controller support like episode 2. I know it's not that big of a deal but it would still be nice to have.

But there's room for improvement! There are some sound bugs and slope glitches, and the game goes by fast. Faster than sonic! I have some ideas, but I can't really put it on paper. But otherwise the bugs and graphics, I really liked it! Besides, Sonic can DAB!!

Thanks for the update. I can finally play the game on my android but the graphics are a bit off and the sounds are weird too. Also lost labyath act 2 keeps crashing on me and can't advance. Could you please adjust this?

I love this game. Sega could have made this game more original. The zones are basically remakes of Emerald Hill, Casino Night, Labrynth, Metropolis, and Death Egg. Sega made up for it with Episode II, though. Sucks Episode II is not compatable with my tablet

And also Shoutout to Anthony D'Ambrosio for telling me how to fix it for those still wonder why it's not working all you have to do is uninstall the game completely then install it again and the loading screen glitch is gone and Most of all Thank You SEGA for not giving up on Sonic 4 Episode 1 and for fixing the glitches I can now fully enjoy this game without any problems thank you so much SEGA you rock

For most people who want to play this for fun love this and I love it. I don't understand why people are complaining about stuff that is already fixed not all of it but just deal with it it's nothing to complain about. P.s it's 2016.

I thought I was going to have issues with it but I was wrong, some guy just posted nexus 6p was not working but I tell you I have one and it works great.

Only thing carrying this was hype at the time. Looking back on it, the physics are pretty bad. Only reason I still have it is for Episode Metal.

The Lost Labyrinth Zone Boss is too annoying and hard, and the last area of the Casino Night Zone is also too annoying. Make it better.

Sound effects on the android version of this game are an octave lower than any other device (i.e.: iPod, Xbox 360, PC, etc...) And the goal post sound effect is missing altogether. Please fix this in an update.

Still doesnt play. Ever since i switched to my Galaxy S6 edge this game has not worked. Before it would sit on a black screen now it crashes outright. I question what bugs were actually squashed....

The game now immediately force closes on my phone, so I am no longer able to play it. I am using a Oneplus One.

I'm really glad this game has been updated, but it's still crashing. When I start up the app, a white screen appears flashes to black and back to white, then closes. I really want to beat this game. Can you guys please fix whatever is causing it to do that?
