Plays well enough, but to not have the option to remove ads? If I'm forced to watch ads, I'd prefer to be rewarded with something other than the "privilege" of playing.

I connected a PS3 controller with a OTG cable to my phone. Worked great with this app. Lots of fun.

The games I tried out behaved the way one would expect on a 2600. Awesomeness! I was even able to use cursor keys on my external Bluetooth keyboard. (I'm not a fan of flat screens used as game controllers.) Too bad I was not able to figure out which keys Fire and Reset were mapped to. Could we have Space Bar for Fire and R for Reset or something like this, pretty please?

This thing is awesome but you just can't play these games with the same degree of skill with a touch pad. Nothing can replace the good old red button Atari joystick. It looks fantastic and is easy to load roms but you need a real controller in order to play these games.

Looks great but can't load any games. Used the search option in the game to load some old favorites. Downloaded to my device name it can't access within the emulator. Makes the app and the downloads worthless. A little instruction from the creator would go a long way. Very disappointing

P.s. to the clueless tw@s who give the app a low rating just because they dont know where to find the games : You press the controller icon(it's on the right) when you start the app, then select the folder where you put the rom file you downloaded in, select the game of choice and viola! You can play the game instantly, as for finding the games ; google is your friend as you'll need to download the rom, just be sure to mention the system you're emulating when googling

One of my most used apps! Vast majority of games run smoothly, the buttons are in good positions for playability, great user interface. All round a great app! One small thing though - the adverts at the start can be annoying so I recommend that this be used offline (but they never pop up during gameplay, so easily forgiven) Absolutely fantastic!!

Unfortunately some games do crash. But that is on a minority of games. It's great being able to play games that your paper round money wouldn't stretch to buy :-D ;-)

Really close to the real thing, the screen could be bigger and the music is abit to fast but a 100% must install app!!! I can look at my real 2600 and look at this and see no real differents.

I loved these game but my new TV did not support this games anymore with the original 2600 atari game box. Now, I can play again. After reading the postings and a little internet search I was able to operate this app without any issues.

Downloaded about 10 games, can play most, but the trigger simply doesn't work for most of them, but the Dpad does, also tried an 8bitdo Bluetooth controller, same thing. Also ads pop up randomly out of nowhere, even if you are in the middle of doing something.

Unable to do much since there are no instructions. Anyone out there can help me?? Where do I get the actual games? Which site is secure? Where should I save it? I'm sure for the tech-savy, this is a great, but for us dumb-asses, we need a bit of help.

I have nothing but praise for the Stella emulation team for the open-source core that I've used in DOS since 1997. The portability to Android with a simple interface for functionality with many controller options is good. It just needs paddle support. Mouse-to-bluetooth? That would perfect it!

This is excellent except one problem. There is no way to put the console switches on screen, this makes playing Phaser Patrol impossible. Probably Star Master and other games like that as well. Update to play games that need the color switch or Novice/Advanced switches you need to hit the menu button. This pauses the game while you go to the console buttons. Click the button you need to, then in the top corner click the joystick and it will put you back into the game resumed. It is slower but it works as how you can access the buttons during game play. So it is possible to play those. Virtual keypad isn't always responsive, but I don't blame the emulator, that is the limitations of virtual buttons on screen. Probably blue tooth controllers are much better.

This emulator totally exceeded my expectations! Pitfall II works! The Gunfighter homebrew works! Everything I threw at it just works! Good work Mr. Broglia

I paid for this app which did work but now it does not work. Either refund my money or fix the app.

I'm not sure why it couldn't navigate properly before (when I touched a folder, it used to show nothing, not even the folders inside), but after uninstalling and reinstalling it, I can find the rom folder. The other reviews pretty much have the important stuff covered.

An app that actually puts an ENTIRE Atari 2600 system, and YOUR VERY OWN VIRTUAL ARCADE of all the games you'd ever wanna play (downloaded SEPARATELY, just Google "Atari 2600 ROMS")...RIGHT IN THE PALM OF YOUR HAND...AND RIGHT IN YOUR SHIRT OR PANTS POCKET, TOO!!! COOL BEANS!!!

Runs games smoothly. 4 stars because the ads are way too intrusive

It's the same game I played 30+ years ago on my children's Atari.

I haven't run into any problems yet. Great piece of software.

If I could just hook up a blue tooth control it would be perfect, but the fact you can adjust the button size is amazing!

I admit I haven't had the time to play actual Atari 2600 games on it, but damn if it damn if it can play every homebrew I throw at it!

Great emulator. But now, the permission creep starts. Why does a game emulator want my wifi connection information. Tie to location and further tracking?

This Atari app works perfectly! I can finally play my favorite Atari 2600 games anywhere. A true Atari fan should have no fears in downloading this app!

This is a great Atari 2600 Emulator. It takes me back to the good old days. I need to get more ROMS for it.

I love it now i just need a controller to carry with me on the go so i don't always have to use the touch screen

Tricky to figure out but when you do it so worth it

It brings back memories, it's amazing that a smart phone can play all the classics of atari, thank you guys for making this possible.
