Great story and classic gamebook gameplay. The mixture of card based fighting makes the game that much morr interesting and fun to play. My only problem is I have a hard time putting it down. Prequel/sequel in the works?

I love gamebooks and I love collectable card games, so Warlock's Bounty is like a dream come true for me. You play a sorcerer who fights with a collection of weapons and spells which are used in the form of a collectable card game. There is an excellent story and the combat system provides you with many decsions. As you go through the book, you can also pick up more powerful cards to add to your arsenal. A fantastic game.

I installed the free version and enjoyed that enough that I purchased the paid version. Little did I know that the free version was roughly half the entire game. Just as I was getting an interesting deck to work with the game ended. On top of that, the paid version has many spelling errors and is buggy. For example I could not go back to a tower after I was given a password. I only got the password upon returning from the quest where I needed the password. Overall, I'd advise someone to avoid.

But the card-game aspect is a little simplistic and seems kinda forced. It is fun, though, and reasonably well balanced. And, again, I can't say enough good things about the writing in the story-book-thing, or how much I've enjoyed the 'choose your adventure' style progression. I think more RPG's should be modelled in a manner such as this.

The writing is incredible, the card playing aspect is unique/creative/fun, the plot is interesting, the choices have effect and the layout is well implimented. There were some grammar errors and it crashes sometimes but it's still amazing.

This is a great game, nice story mode with a nicely balanced card-based battle game. I dont have time to learn a complex card system so perfect for me - and tips its hat to Fighting Fantasy books. Well done.
