RandomNation - Politics Game for Android
TL;DR The game is good because it alIows you to explore politics. (I read a comment somewhere that said it would make a lot more sense to put TL;DR(Too long; didn't read) at the beginning, not at the end) I liked the game due to it showing the hardships of trying to do the following: Maintain the budget, please the people, and keep the country secure. No matter what policy you try you will see the problem of each. I appreciate the staff of Rosenburger Games for spending time working on this app. It is great fun and I am looking forward to the next great games this team will create.
PLEASE make it so that the box showing your balance will turn red or green to show whether we are losing or making money. In my opinion, this would make it easier to justify whether I am or not in a matter of milliseconds. This is literally all I want, next update?
Lack of policies. Hard to play because I was not sure what effects had the policies in the mind of the develloper. Many policies had no realistic long term effects, and many side effects where missing. If you know democracy (the game), this one is like a bad copy of 5% of its content.
Good game. I reccommend it to anyone interested in politics. It's unbiased and mostly realistic, except for the lower class revolutions. It's very simple to play. It could be improved by expanding on it, like adding more policies and letting you invade other countries. There needs to be more things to do.
Would be better if the lower classes were smarter. If you lower welfare and Healthcare they get all pissy (even though it helps them in the long run) and want to stage a revolution. It's a bit exaggerated. Not many features in the game (maybe allow the player to invade other nations?) Gun laws is another thing left out. Fiat currency, gold standard or just using pure gold or silver is also left out of the game.
Can you fix the child/adult ratio. It just seems like no one ever grows up. I always end up spending more on education than anything else even with it set to a low amount.
I can't play this game, even though it's reasonably well implemented. I dislike it for the same reason that I never want to be a politician: people are stupid. They look only at short-term personal benefits. They demand more spending and lower taxes. Balancing the budget with aix of spending cuts and tax hikes puts me at odds with every party and makes me tremendously unpopular...just like it would in real life.
This game is a normal money makers aka many popouts, mediocre game. I'd say it's worth playing but offline so you don't get the ads
It is good, but it is just a partial feeling of politics. You don't get a chance to reason your stances and acts to increase taxes and reduce expenditure when the state runs out of money ...
Seemed kinda leftist leaning, I made it farthest taxing everyone with open borders and all that jazz. I don't like biased political games. I don't know if it was on purpose but it seems that way.
I don't normally leave reviews but this is a very good game, in a genre rarely covered. All I would suggest is more policy sided options, (gun control, trade, justice system) however this may end up being too complex, I saw a complaint saying the game is bias to the left, wish to just say that is most likely rubbish and maybe it's even possible that people are happier under a more left government, I'm sure it is reflected in some countries like Norway, Denmark etc.
Brilliant app. Keeps me well entertained and my 12 year old loves it too, although he's a bit of a dictator
Needs to be much more indepth, choice of country, political party instead of left wing/right wing. Needs much more. Great start though.
I like to play as conservative but the rate at which the policies come flying at you is dumb and you must say yes or no basically without seeing what it would do to the economy, popularity etc. The game has a pretty cool concept, but still it is very lacking in the sense that the policies are enacted very fast and unrealistically. For instance, the conservative party would like to decrease spending and balancing a budget, but they continually are programmed to throw a defense budget without a rationale during a so called global peace treaty. There is no communication between anything and you lose. As engaging as it is its mediocre at best.
Overall a nice game that I enjoy playing; however, I would love to see more options within the game. Also, certain things and events need to be more clear.
its a good game it makes me feel like Im rulling a nation but do children in this game even grow up and be part of the working age people because my expenditure on education is so high because of these brats
I played this the way gov. Browncrack of kansas runs kansas and had been over thrown by the pore, this game is not very realistic because I do not see a revolution going on here.
So few options, and if prices continue to increase, you can onl6 decrease spending and increase taxes so much. Unrealistic
Very interesting game, but please add thr ability to not lose when you go into debt. Nations should be allowed to manage debt like in real life
Add cheats like more money and etc and adding money! BUT REMOVE GLOBAL VIRUS OR MAKE IT LESS HARD! You lose your money like 500m at a time and its too hard! My nation dies everytime.
Ive played this game for a long while, and as much as I like the new balance with the education/class %. The population growth/children % seems uncontrolable, even with birth control and immigration.
Totally awesome! Can you make a war indicator plz, cuz I forget I'm at war?
Rather moderate game with limited options and no tutorials or reality based scenarios but it manages to keep the user glued to the phone for a few games . Over all its good.
Politics is a beautiful game but also nasty and dirty Introduce new political parties when you update the game so I don't get bored.I like the game and would like to unlock the other political parties please help those who can't have money to purchase the other political parties
Think there should be things like: trade deals, the UN and Empires?
there should be some music and hmm maybe like a sequence maybe u taking an oath before the game starts or a riot scene and u know
Not an accurate portrayal of how particular policies affect things like unemployment and takes a far too simplistic view of economics.
Boring, bland, nothing happens... unless you count random pop up text. Barely a game.
I like it alot and i love the fact that yoy have population and stuff like that but you need to be able to invade and be able to influence the globe and also add another tax like sin tax
It WON'T let me play :( fix it pls.i will give 5 stars if you fix it
The only game that you can't end, and the worst for me is that the immigration doesn't fill out the working market and you end up with bankruptcy
Multiple things lack, needs a lot more policies options and the citizens are so stupid. Please make education actually make the citizens smarter and have the polls linked to the budget.
Add more options of what you could do, it can become pretty stale easily
There needs to be a way to improve the economy better, such as finding a way to lower unemployment.
little to do in the start and would love to see a deeper expansion on ideas and options to manage the economy
Its good I just dont like the poor people they arent very smart and are super annoying overall good game.
Very basic game, annoying to control on a large tablet
Great game. Challenging and fun. The developer has taken the basic concept and fleshed it out really well.
Decisions don't seem to mean anything. Lacks depth.

It's a very OK game. As someone who has taken courses on, and is largely involved in US economics (as an investor), this game lacks a lot, such as a defined business cycle, and doesn't provide much of what it should to make proper policy decisions. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I can say that having real-world experience won't really help you in this game. For example, I can't tell if this game accounts for long term effects, such as education spending, it just seems to affect your popularity.
