Dear cinemaware.. can make the minigames slower? Very hard to win!

This is Amiga nostalgia at it's best...now how about It Came From The Desert ..loved that game.

by K####:

It's just like the amiga version. Brings back great memories along with great frustration. The game was unwinnable back in the day and with the worse controls that need to be on the phone, it's never going to be beaten. A few suggestions. My joystick and other buttons sometimes disappear, making it very hard to play. Also is there a better way to do the war room. It takes forever to move the agents around. So long that they sometimes have reports while I am moving the others. Might be time to build a simple one button joystick that can use blutooth.

I never had the pleasure of owning an Amiga back in the late eighties, but I was certainly well aware of the machine and the games that were exciting the people. This was one of the games I desperately wanted to play - along with other classic titles.. and now I can! Great stuff, and thouroughly enjoyable(albeit a little complicated in places). Now, bring on "The Three Stooges" and then we'll be talking.

Such memories. I would love to see it came from the desert and King of Chicago too. And of course defender of the crown and three stooges. I still can't believe the things you were able to do with the C64!!!!

It's exactly the Amiga version, which was a tremendous amount of fun. Controls take some getting used to, but I'm enjoying it nonetheless.

Runs great on my GN2. I mean it is almost instant. Very very nice. Now where is Defender of the Crown, Lords of the Rising Sun, King of Chicago, and TV Sports Football. Come on guys Defender of the Crown has been out for IOS for over 2 years. Get it on android now!

Great to relive some amazing childhood memories. It would be nice to be able to skip the intro cutscene though as you could on the Amiga and also set the do not sleep settings correctly for Android phones.

C70%

My roommate and I spent many hours playing this game in college on my Amiga. I would like to see an option to save the current progress, and possibly support for external controllers. Defender Of The Crown next?

If u remember this game you ll love it, if not you may be dissapionted with arcade parts but story is solid.

what Cinemaware has done is to wrap the game and the emulator in a nice package, which is fine, however the controls are not that great. In the Zeppelin scene, the controls are very bad and it's almost impossible to hit it in the precise place without blowing it up. I do like the built-in fuel calculator.

I love this but agree with the control comments. Personally, I've found games that use a "floating joystick" (for want of a better word) where the joystick appears (centrally) wherever you place your thumb on the left hand side of the screen, are generally easier to control than a fixed overlaid pad.

Exactly as I remembered it as a kid. Turns out I'm still no good at taking off. Had no problems with the controls on my nexus 4. Can't wait for King of Chicago!

Rocket Ranger is one of my all time favorite games alongside Wings, both from Cinemaware. This game takes me back to my childhood and the days of King of the Rocket Men and The Rocketeer. Own and play this on my Amiga often and this emulated version is equally as good. Keep the classics coming:-)

I bought Defender of the Crown on iOS but switched to Android so I am very happy to see Cinemaware releasing games for Android! This game is terrific and I hope they port many others!!!

It is commendable for cinema ware to release this old title. It would be nice to see 'It came from the desert' come back as this company's game mechanics are ahead of their time even now. Sadly it is hard to play some of the action scenes in rocket ranger due to over sensitivity

Absolutely brilliant game loved it all those years ago when I played it on my amiga and always wanted to play it again, anyone who hasn't tried playing a retro amiga or console game like this should give it a go, alot of the best games are forgotten about and lost love to play more of them.
