San Juan for Android
I'm a big fan of Puerto Rico. San Juan is a great adaptation for cards and mobile app. I enjoy the stragety, limited number of rounds and variety of ways to win.
Pretty great game. Multiplayer connecting locally was a little odd. We didn't like that it will kick you off just for switching to another app momentarily. Also, the text that shows victory points isn't readable with black on dark colors. And with the sound off, the Continue button at the end of the game still makes a sound.
Great game. I really appreciate the artwork and the music, the production of the app really complements the game well. The game is simple to learn but still has some good replay value. My one criticism is that the AI players are slow- I wish their moves were just a little faster.
Matches the game, but need to fix the Guild Hall. When an opponent can get 10 to 16 points off of a bonus building that is too much. Should be like the real game only 1 point for each additional of the same type.
Very well done, the port is great. My only issue is, the game freezes whenever I receive a text/email/background communication. I have to exit, kill the app, and reload. Not a huge deal, just annoying after a bit.
I love everything about this app!!! Very easy to use, quick game play and feels so similar to playing the board game. Only thing I can't figure out so far is how to use the crane card, the button doesn't seem to work on mine.
Only issue is a crash I got when using the crane. The ui for certain things (like using crane, interpreting end game score, and understanding which good is worth which amount) is unclear. Still a wonderful game
A very good concept and good execution. The crane card does not work and two player on two devices has a tenancy of dropping the game if anything else including a pull down menu is oppened.
When playing the computer why does the animation go through every step. Significantly slows the game down. Love it otherwise. When will Puerto Rico be ready for Android? It has been out for a long time on Ipad.
Very upset I'm not allowed to add this to my family library. Early adopters should be rewarded, not handcuffed. Poor business practice
I'll usually play the heck out of a game then never want to see it again, but I've been fairly consistently playing this since I got it and it's still fun. It prompted me to buy the physical game and now I play it with my 10 year old. Great gateway into nerdy board games.
I like the game but there are a couple of things that make it a bit frustrating. the first is that 20% of the time the game freezes and it is impossible to restart where it froze; you have to start again from the beginning. the other thing is that the animation for the actions moves very slowly, making game play much longer than is needed. also, one minor thing that also needs to be changed is that the individual scores are difficult to read when playing on a phone; needs to be larger or have a bolder font.
Has crashed in half of my games, and isn't able to store the game's progress. Therefore despite the game being very good when it works, it's not reliable enough to recommend.
This is the classic version of the game without the expansion cards like the Harbor or the Cathedral. The AI is good at the expert level. I hope they come out with an update with all of the expansion cards soon.
Great game, interesting changes to the original but still lots of fun. I've been addicted for a couple of days!
Awesome game but I can see why they same game play is a little slow. Card animation is a little slow. 5 stars for faster car animation, other than that it is great.
Not exactly like the board game and does not support Samsung Bluetooth mouse. Kind of disapointed.
As the title suggests, this board game to android port is fantastic. I can only hope Ravensburger (and other companies) plan to do this with many more!!
Not quite Puerto Rico but has enough of the elements to make it a fun game. Recommend this to anyone.
I saw this cardboard game in the game store, but was glad to see it on Android. I often have to play board games solo, so this fits the bill. The tutorial was effective at teaching me how to play. The game operate smoothly, and I enjoy all the different levels of AI in the computerized opponents really seem to be a meaningful range.
I can't join an online game. Wtf? I want to beat whomever is available to play me. Had the game almost a week I guess and only played the PC. The game is fun but not worth a purchase unless you have folks in the house to pass and play with.
Plays well on my Samsung S5. The animations can slow a turn down, but they are well done. I play to relax
Superb interface on both tablet and phone. The AI is challenging, but occasionally a player ceases building after erecting a Guild or City Hall and just throws away cards for the rest of the game. Needs 2nd edition rules — the Guild Hall and Prefecture are too strong here.
Awesome game! But... plays too slow, need an option to play faster. After playing several games 1 ai player may not build anything more midway thru a game. AI always cashes in as many res as possible even when it goes well over card limit. When built carpenter &poorhouse and play down to 1 card only get 1 card from carpenter, none from ph, so should reward ph before carpenter. On S6.
Works great on my Nexus 6p. The blue player background is too dark, makes it difficult/impossible to read that player's score during the game. Needs lighter blue background or white text. Would like to be able to tap during final scoring to see more detail about the elements of the scores.
Drops my spouse and I from every game before we can finish. Tried across multiple devices. Too late to get a refund on this wasted $10 across two devices. Very frustrating. Just buy Carcassonne. At least if it drops you don't get replaced with AI
At first we couldn't finish any multiplayer games. But after reinstalling of works fine. A good digital port. A few small issues. You can't continue a game of you drop out due to connection or if you have to walk away and your device turns off. Also the "use crane" icon/button seems to be missing on my Galaxy S3.
Simplified version of Puerto Rico. Really love that game and this one. About 10 to 15 for a game with you and two computer players. Or longer if you're indecisive like me. Totally worth it.
The game is fun. There's a bug that makes you have to restart the game. It doesn't affect single player since you can restart where you left off. I don't know how it affects multiplayer since no one plays this game online. The constant check for Google play is really annoying.
I love the game Puerto Rico, and this adaptation of the card game is great. Runs great on my Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 and +my Galaxy S6 Edge+
I've only played the actual card game once or twice, years ago, but it seems like a faithful rendition of the game. I haven't experienced any bugs on my Nexus 5X phone. I suppose an option for faster play might be nice, but I don't think it plays that slow. Just the right pace, actually. I've only played a few games on expert, but the AI seems to be good competition at this level. Excellent game!
I'm really enjoying this but I can't play online. I'm always prompted to sign in to Google Play but there is no such option in the game.
I love this game. Its super well made, nice to look at and fun. The games are quick and not too hard. I think the name might not really attract alot of people that don't already know about the physical game and its a shame. There's also never anybody available to play with online so I'm stuck playing with the AI but its so well worth the download!

Pleasant music and nice visuals. It's a little tight trying to play on a phone (some buttons are tricky to touch), but it's doable.
Little expensive for what you get, but good adaptation. Needs stats or something for wins/losses
Ratings message keeps popping up. I rated this five stars before. Now it's four. If.that rating reminder pops up again I'll go down another star.
A very well done app for A good game. It's a bit on the easy side which is the reason for the four stars
San Juan is a great reproduction of the card game. The tutorial teaches the instructions quickly while actually playing the game. It has a good soundtrack and easy to use interface. I hope Ravensburger makes more of their games into Android apps.

I own the physical game and love playing the app. Although I wish they would produce a Puerto Rico game app, I am pleased that San Juan is available and is so well made.
