Good game. Controls can take a bit of getting used to. Wish the ads were not as frequent.

Little slow to start and it could be my phone but attacking in the air seems finicky

Aside from some awkward visual transitions between the game and ads, and attacks not registering immediately after jumping, this game is great.

Something about the jumping is a little unintuitive but otherwise a joy to play.

Great game but getting 3 stars seems to be too hard

More suggestions!! Bluetooth controller crashes the game when either disconnecting or connecting, also buttons do not work. Wired controllers work fine with this game. Also the option to register 2 different buttons for one action? i.e. Left Bumper to jump, Y button to jump also

Bite-sized levels that you can optimize to a T are part of what make Target Tests in platform brawlers great fun, and BtT does it beautifully. There's no reason to not try this app if you're a fan of Super Smash Bros.

I too was part of Super Smash Clash (Now renamed Super Brawl Smash) and I have to say this game played beautifully. It felt a bit weird swiping to attack, but it'll just be something for me to get used to. The style and music seems great too! I recommend any smash fan to try this game out as the game has tons of levels to try to speed run. Edit: Thanks for letting me know about changing the layout! Much appreciated.

A masterpiece in portable platforming.

This game is awesome. It brought me into the game and taught me everything I needed to know right away. The controls are great in my opinion, and if others don't like it, they can simply create their own setup easily to their desire. Progression is unique and easy to follow. Simply get fast enough times to progress. This lets me replay levels and enjoy trying to get a better time. Level design is unique and surprising for every level. I even love the Super Smash Bros. Melee throwback you included, and I didn't need to pay for it to unlock. Overall, I enjoy playing Fox + Samus + Captain Falcon in this game, and I would love to see more of this game in the future! Also, shout-out to /r/smashbros for bringing me to this game.

For anyone considering this, this review is for all the people with crappy phones like me. THIS APP WORKS! There is even an option for crappy phones in the settings, make sure to check it! Great game and lots of nostalgia! Definitely gonna buy the DLC!

First of all, there is an impressive amount of features in this game. There's 140 free stages, plus 25 Melee-inspired stages that you can buy. You have a good range of fun movement and attack options. Most of the stages are well designed and unique, forcing you to use different combinations of your moves. There's also a bunch of cool features like custom controls, shadow replays, and (soon, apparently) multiplayer. My main problem with the game is that it's hard to control; for a platformer, that's a big issue. Small, precise movements are hard to pull off. Your non-movement hand has 6 buttons to press, sometimes in very quick succession, making it easy to miss them. After playing long enough, I felt competent with the controls, but never fully in control of them. With a controller, this might be a 4 or 5 star review, but I and most people don't have access to one, unfortunately. There's also a few polish issues- screens present a lot of information at once, much of which is not needed, and there’s no way to test your custom controls without starting a level. Hopefully the polish and control issues can be taken care of, because otherwise this game shows so much promise!

I have always loved break the targets from smash Bros melee and this reminds me of that. The only issue is that the controls are kind of weird, but they are as good as I could have hoped for on a mobile device, I guess

Solid performance, fun game, Lotta ads, but paid option to remove which is fair. Extremely difficult to get three stars even when I thought I ran optimally.

The controls are smooth and responsive, the graphics look very nice and it's easy to see the death traps. The music complements the setting well. There are ads, but they only show one ad every 10-15 deaths so it isn't overrun like other games are. It reminds me a lot of N and Super Meat Boy in all the beat ways. Definitely check it out!
