Picross Survival for Android
These games are the only thing that help me sleep, so they're my favorite! Unfortunately I'm not the biggest fan of the control pad. It often sends me in the wrong direction, eating up my lives. Otherwise, an awesome game!
Love the survival shorts on how this poor soul lived out accidents in the wilds. Basically original quality art in the puzzles with a choice of turning off lives system. Larger puzzles aren't really good on phones though due to how hard it is to fill/erase them. (Rewrote review since it somehow went missing. I blame Google.)
Due to poor controls you end up accidently clicking areas you did not want to when you try to zoom in or move around the screen. There are others with better controls which is a shame as this has a story style mode
Beautiful art style. Nice and simple controls that work well. And you can quickly jump to the difficult levels as soon as you want. Even the ads dont come up too often! Love all aspects of this game
Fun puzzler. Relaxing and wonderful music. Can't 5 star cuz, as far as I can tell, there's no way to undo if you accidentally press the wrong square. Still very good
I hate the forced horizontal perspective. These games are better vertically oriented
Fun! Fun little puzzles before the story part, fun puzzles for the story, fun stories. Warning -- the expert levels go up to 30 squares wide!
Great game but once you get into 25x25 and higher, the game is unplayable on a small phone screen
Found this to be one of the easiest to control picross games. The autosave that some others are missing is great. Loved working on the 30x30 puzzles for a while. Early puzzles are plenty easy with the nine lives you have to work with.
Who's bright idea was it to make the highlighter bars the same colour as most of the arctic levels ? And who beta tested it ? Apart from that it's a good game. Nearly finished it so make with an update.
I love the fact that the 'X's self populate when the row is completed.
It freezes everytime i complete a level.
No puedo crees que tenga tantos niveles gratis :0
Good picross game with visual story. Only advertises, doesn't microtransaction
Nicely paced puzzle game.
Fun little tike killer
Good, simple, fun
Great picross! If you like picross, there are tons of puzzles for you to sink your time into. I'm not a big fan of the large puzzle you do at the end of each stage. The scene s are usually nice, but when I do 8 normal puzzles to having to do 12 more foe the large picture is a drag. More regular puzzles would've been nice. Also, to the devs, please change the "filled" number color to something else, like red. I miss them sometimes because they blend in with the background colors very easily and is costing me errors. Fun game for a picross junkie like myself.
I love the concept. But why are some squares blacked out to be revealed at the end? Can we not have the satisfaction of completely finishing a whole puzzle? I am enjoying this game a lot. Easy mode is too easy, but because I like the game I'm doing that level also. This is a very enjoyable game. Thanks!!!
I love picross!! The Nintendo DS version is the gold standard but this is really good fun. My feature suggestions are a puzzle reset option for when you completely Bork a level, and when you unpinch zoom the side numbers don't get any larger. Tough for those of us with bad eyes. Really fun though, lots of puzzles.
Fun game. This is the first picross game I have played and I am hooked. My only complaint is that the cute little story on the hard puzzles has the character finding a polar bear in Antarctica (south pole). Polar bears are strictly an Arctic (North Pole) beast.
I love the story element, the controls are good and the animations are awesome. The big puzzles at the end of each step are a little cumbersome and take a lot of time, but that is to be expected. Thankfully you can continue without doing the big puzzles and just enjoy the smaller ones.
This is like playing picross for 3rd graders. Just touch & drag, you don't really solve the puzzle because the game does it for you. What seemed like a cool game ended up a disappointment. We need to play a game that is at least challenging; this game is almost there but not quite.
It's not bad but it needs improvement. Considering the puzzles are in color, I'd like to be able to figure out where each color goes. It would make the puzzles more challenging. I would like to be able to erase marks, too. I don't like being told where things go. I wanna figure it out for myself. It's much more satisfying that way.
Simple Picross game with great art and theme. The ads are minimal, but somewhat annoying as they pop up directly on top of the continue button at times. Since you can pay to remove them, not a big issue though.
This game is pretty cool and addicting. However, once you complete all three modes, that's it. Yeah you can go back and play the levels again, but me personally I want more levels, not the same ones. Overall a good game. No 5 star due to how short it it.
The how to play is pretty confusing, I had to google what a Picross is. After learning how to play, the game is nice, the graphic is pleasant and it has a lot of puzzles. The fact that the game follows a story is an interesting twist on the genre. It's a good game, worth the few money to take ADs away.
This is my first time playing this type of game. It's a mix of suduko and mine sweeper. I'm already addicted and by the ampunt I've been playing, I'm a bit worried I'm going to run out of levels.
Ive played picross before. Half of the fun is messing up and fixing it. The whole "auto-fill if you tap the right square" and hearts takes the fun out of the puzzle. I accidentally swiped and suddenly half the puzzle was solved and half my hearts were gone. A better method would be a "check" button that takes a life if you are wrong. Also, the cancel function is near to useless. Words in the tutorial would help new people understand why an X just randomly appeared there.
Couple of fairly large problems. 1) no undo button is a big hindrance in nanograms. 2) the dividing lines that mark the grid into 5x5 boxes should be more noticeable, especially on levels with a lot of orange.
Seems like a great game with lots of potential. My only problem is that controls are hard to use(game pad to be specific for bigger grids). Also the not being able to make mistakes removes the fun of Nanograms.
For the experienced players of picross you will find it annoying that it tells you where some squares are correct which you wouldn't otherwise know if playing on paper but otherwise excellent. The best I've played on my tablet.
Would have loved this game but I couldn't get off of the picture of the completed puzzle. Frustrating. Uninstalling.
I dont really know what the X and check is all about. I clicked it at one point and glitched out my game. Now I cant move on past that point. I was on easy then, so I got past it by playing on normal.
I realize it's picross, but still, the pictures were poorly drawn. The music is awful. The controls are garbage. Picross Luna is much better.
I downloaded this on a whim, and was immediately charmed by the artstyle and game play. I paid to remove the ads, and to support such a great developer. Thank you, GameFox :) Highly recommended!
Overall, this game is good, if you like picross, you'll more than likely like this. That being said, there is one issue I have come across on my phone: I have only had 1 ad. You may be asking yourself "why is that a bad thing?", here's why, the game seems to be programmed to take you back to the menu after the ad is shown, so if an ad isn't shown, you have to force close the game in order to go on the next puzzle. I'm not sure in this is due to a logical error in the procedure or call statement, or incompatibility with my device/ os. I am running this on a Samsung note 8, running android 7.1.1
I've played a lot of these kinds of games and I had a lot of fun with this one. It took a while for me to get used to the locked horizontal screen but overall I really enjoyed the experience..
In general it's a good game, for me there are two minor negative points. The autofill and autocheck functions don't work entirely fair, if you turn off the lives mechanic, which I like but don't use that often, it becomes really unfair. You can complete lines and columns just by looking at the autocheck function when the right boxes are filled in (and it doesn't matter how you came to that solution) it will say so and will fill the rest in with crosses. For me this negates the point of the actual puzzle, it's far easier to his fill everything in and then delete the unnecessary blocks. But that's just my opinion.

I love this game. Once I figured out how to play it it became so fun. I've tried other games like this but this one was the only one that taught me how to play properly. I love the story, it makes me want to play to get him home. The only trouble I have is, I can't play without a stilest. The buttons are way to small, and if I try to make the board bigger I get lost.
