About Rings
The object of the game is simple : make "rings".
The main focus is on the playing board, where random pieces of different shapes are presented.
A shape is either a single square containing a straight line, a 90 degree corner, or combination of multiple such squares (in a 3x3 grid)
Once you've completed a ring, all pieces involved will disappear.
Every time you place a piece you are given points, the quicker you place a piece, the more points you get. Bigger rings are worth more points!
You have limited time to place each piece, so keep your eye on the timer! Once you place a piece, it cannot be moved or removed (unless you make a ring!)
Every time you make 10 rings, the level will increase ... the higher the level, the quicker the timer goes down!
There are 2 type of piece style :-
Simple ... Pieces are simple shapes (what did you expect?)
Advanced ... Uses the same pieces as simple mode, but with some added extras to complicate things!
There are also 2 different timer speeds :-
Normal ... Level 1 starts with a 30 second timer (per piece) and gets quicker every 10 levels.
Quick ... Level 1 starts with a 15 second timer (per piece), drops quicker during gameplay, and also gets quicker every 10 levels.
If you want a relatively easy game to pass the time away, use the Simple piece style with a normal timer.
If, on the other hand you want a challenge, use the advanced piece style with a quick timer.
Note : Regardless of what pieces you use, or what timer you use, the scoring system remains unchanged, so if it's higher scores you want, use simple pieces and a normal timer!
