Mars Defender: Space RPG for Android
a sense of fighting in outer space.
Does not work...
Awesome game! To those who find the controls difficult, while I kind of agree, I also think this is what's good about the game. It takes practice to get the hang of the controls, but as your skill improves there's a real sense of accomplishment as you progress from constantly overshooting or crashing to awesome precision flying and shooting. Some of the missions seem too hard, but that too might just be because I need more practice. Level 10 seemed overly difficult when I first got to it, but now it's a great challenge. I still find level 12 impossible, though. The story is nice, but it'd be even better if it were more in depth and really gave you the sense there's a cosmic war on and your missions are really making a difference. However, for $2, it's just fine the way it is. I like how each ship is very different to fly, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. To the reviewer who complained he couldn't be on both sides of the planet at once, that's the challenge. You won't make it if you choose the slower ship with greater firepower, and instead, you need to choose the speedier ship. There's also a strategy to which asteroids you go after if you can't get them all.
So far a great game. To the reviewers who complain about the controls, I can understand what you are saying: the controls are unusual. However, having spent a lot of time on a boat, I can tell you that they are accurate. It takes time to turn a boat in the water since there is no friction working for you. You don't whip around like you can in a car. Anyway, I like it, and the accuracy is cool. So far, so good! !
Your ship steers like a bathtub, the view zooms in when you slow down, meaning you can't see hazards if you're not going fast, and the alpha fades on menu/dialog screens take too long because input is ignored during transitions.
Cool game, seems imposibal to be on both sides of the planet at one time, but fun to try. Good job.
At all
Fun simple game thats hard to put down
Cant go back
Overall good game, only bad points are mentioned in another review, screen zooming in when slowing down, things like that
Outstanding game!
Alot of fun-very challenging
Absolutely amazing love this game, a gem of a game very impressed cudos to the devs
It's just you and your tiny ship against the astoids, the enamies of the Martian coloneies, and the vast gravitational and magnitic forces of outter space. Its great fun.
Excellent game. Apps2sd is sorted. I totally love this game and you couldn't come across a more helpful developer. I,ll support them always now. Brill
