About Vengeance (Android Risk)
I needed a quick to play map strategy game for my mobile device. I tried the ones on the market but reinforcing countries, placing armies, and battles took too long. I would wait for ten minute for the AI to finish so I could do my turn again. I wasn’t satisfied so I made my own hybrid version of Risk that I could play entire maps in 2 to 5 minutes and not have to spend most of that time waiting for the AI to move.
About Vengeance: Vengeance is a unique play on the classic board game Risk. Vengeance has been optimized for rapid expanse, reinforcement, and generation of new armies for your empire. Earn bonus armies by holding continents and defeating opponents.
Discover your own strategies to best counter Vengeance’s four AI personalities. Risk your armies, go offensive, or build massive defenses. Play single maps, campaign mode, or compete for the top rank in the 24 hour leader board. If you feel you need more challenge, add Fog of War and play test your skill without being able to see deep behind enemy lines!
Vengeance Pro includes dozens of maps (27 maps currently), Ad-Free Play, campaign mode, leader board, and resume previous game. Maps include special Holiday maps.
To the reports of "Dice rolls are crap". I agree! I am sorry ahead of time for the enevidable terrible loosing streak. I promice there is no reason for me to add frustrating logic to a game I enjoy playing. Vengeance is coded using the java random number generator. If you can't stand loosing a dozen rolls in a row, please turn off the simple dice roll and turn on the loosing streak midigation which stacks the odds attempting to avoid winning or loosing streaks. Eventually, I will be adding a battle log that you can scroll back through to see just how bad or good your random luck has been.
In game, each player is given one army to place one at a time to set up the board. You are given 3 armies to start each turn. You as the human have the advantage and get to go first. Attack winner is determined by random number generator giving 50/50 chance on first attach. To help mitigate loosing or winning over and over, every loss ups the dice roll to give a 10% advantage on the next roll. This stacks up to 3 times in attempt to avoid long streaks. This option can be enable or disabled in the settings. In addition, a 5% defender initial advantage can be enabled or disabled in the settings. Army size also helps during the attack. For every army that you have over the other army, you are given a 2% advantage. This army advantage is also controllable from the settings.
Vengeance is not a Risk clone. I created a game that would be quicker pace than Classic Risk. I wanted a game that could be picked up and played in 5 minutes here or there without dedicating too much time as most devices will be phones. Risk gameplay between strong opponents could take longer than a mobile battery might last.

Not enjoyable the way Risk is, though I understand the app isn't intending to be a direct copy. More irritating is that this lite version includes unclosable ads that block out menu options and the game board itself!!

I was excited to actually have risk as I love that game. Then I watched me maybe take one land a game and the computer take whatever it wants. Buddy don't quit your day job the game sucks if you here pew pew you can translate that to you fail fail.

For a good game that plays nicely and smooth, get this game. Plays well, although annoying popup ads on the free version get in the way of gameplay constantly with no way of being disabled. A couple nice features that could be added would be zoom and pan (would mitigate the problems with ads as you could still see the bottom countries). A way to slow down combat would go a long way, to make it easier to keep up with all the ai combat. Disappointed that the classic world map is a pro only feature though.

Best free Risk-style game I have found. Plays nicely: no performance issues. Maps could use a little visual polish, but the game play is the important part.

The ai has no strategy. They just amass huge armies and destroy everything. Nothing you do can stand up to them once they get them.

Not user friendly. You have to learn first before fun. Landrule is better...even a retard can play it.
