About ProArchery
ProArchery is a game, which allows you to experience Archery almost as if you were out in a field and shooting yourself.It is a challenging game just as Archery is in real life. You can aim the bow, pull the bow string and when the bow string turns red you have your anchor point and are ready to release and shoot. The bow used is similar to the bows used in the Olympics. You can play many rounds. You start at as a Novice on each round but can gain Third, Second and First classifications like in real archery. If you wish at the end of a round, you can submit your score to http://proarcheryscores.evansdev.co.uk but only your highest scores will be added. The app records your classifications so you can keep track of the classes you have won and compare your skill with your friends. Have fun and I hope you enjoy this app as I have tried to make it as close to real Archery as possible. I have not seen another Android app that does this to date. The game does require the the orientation sensor to work. Any permissions to reading phone state is solely for the purpose of generating a new unique id for the score board. I just wanted to create a challenging game for all ages to enjoy as I am also a keen Archer. :-)

Removed vibrate when shooting to reduce use of the battery. The sound of shooting is enough to know you have shot an arrow. Also reduced the maximum wind speed to 10Mph to make the app more realistic. 15Mph made it a little hard to hit the target at times. Soon to come are more screens and possibly easy, medium and hard levels. Positive feedback welcome :-)

Good app. If u cant work it out there is no hope for you. If it was easy, you would still sook. I use a 65lb compound to hunt. I bet most cant even draw my bow so maybe real archery is not easier!

The aim is way too hard all it does is move around even if I put the phone on a table. As an archer it does give a realistic sight picture but in real life I can hold much more steady. Maybe a way to calibrate the position sensor or a sensitivity setting is needed.

Tilt controls aren't fluid and extremely over sensitive. Good concept though and I look forward to future updates. Now Aaron, the guy who thinks he is all pro, real archery at this stage is easier than this game, I've also seen young teens command a 65lb compound with ease, stop acting like your a rare champion in the real sport, your arrogance is irrelevant in regards to this phone game.

Nice little time killer but quite tricky to control. Also, not much like real archery. Nice use of proper rounds but farthest distance should be shot first, then continues in decreasing order. Wind is really not much of an issue at all with Olympic recurve, especially at 60 yards and less and it's effects are greatly exaggerated in the game. Quite enjoyable nevertheless.
