The Last Door: Collector's Ed for Android
Honestly gets your brain working! I had to google walk-through's in some areas it was so tricky. Reminds me of the old school games Dad used to play. Storyline is quite dark and twisted and it honestly stops your heart in some areas. Eerie and Intriguing, worth paying for three extra stories.
i this game... i love it.. i love the feeling as if i'm in an H.P. lovecraft story.. the game play is not bad point and click games are not bad.. the difficulty of the first episode is not hard but some time you just have to think hard (or get a help from others) to solve the mystery of the game... i know i can't play the 2nd episode cause i can't buy it for now.. maybe soon.. but this game is really recommendable.. one of the best games i have played.. next to "the room"
No good on large screen handset - pixelated graphics could be interesting again in this era of Minecraft et al but it keeps crashing at the outset in the first room. Uninstalling. Plus the app wants to track your whole life history past, present and future. Completely unnecessary for a GAME!
Brilliant game, very atmospheric and well worth the couple quid for everything. My only quarm is that this game could have been even better if it wasn't using 30 year old graphics, but to be fair even with old school 8-bit still an amazing game. Recommend to fans of Eternal Darkness
Amazing game, nice story, simple yet immersive graphics and really detailed sound effects. If only season two were here! Edit: Wow, this game is MUCH scarier than just looking at the screenshots. It's much scarier than my expectations. Now I can't resist to give five stars for this game.
about this game that I adore. But I wanted to especially thank the creator for making this a demo w/ pay to continue. I find fewer games that have that distinct feature & just expect me to crap out 10-20 right off the bat. This puzzle mystery is amazing, & the controls are simple enough to figure out. Highly recommend this
Its well worth the download even if you don't purchase the following chapter ($5.53 CAD). Chapter one alone was a very satisfying playthrough. I loved the soundtrack and sound effects in conjunction with how eerie the story was.
Absolutely magnificent. I was sucked in instantly. Great use of simple graphics that never ceased to amaze me and a wide range of sound effects. The pixelated visuals may seem simplistic but you can always tell what you're supposed to be looking at. The story itself was mad creepy and the price was totally worth it, IMO.
I waited for this game to come out for android since 2014 summer... And finally... Finally got it. I tried out the first episode to see if its the same as PC version and it is.. Gotta get used to the controls if you already have played the PC version.. But i didnt see anything bad with the game and bought the full content and so far... Its been amazing... So far im seeing there is a story behind everything so definetly play the minisodes which will reveal the whole story. Buy it if you are on the edge
Amazing game, I really enjoyed it. Very sad season 2 isn't for Android (yet?). If you like point and click games with a creepy atmosphere and puzzles to solve you won't regret buying this except that it's only the first half of the game.
This game seems really good and I paid to keep going, but the second episode keeps bugging out. Playing on a Nexus 5x Marshmallow. In certain rooms it gets lagged sometimes and doesn't respond for a moment, or the animation gets jumpy. Also moving between screens somtimes causes the game to lock up.
Amazing game. And so cheap, it infuriates me when I read reviews in which people whinge about only getting part one for free. Ffs should developers spend their lives working for nothing? This game is awesome and costs a pittance. Buy it and support the development of more great games.
I like the graphics, but in combination with the poor controls you can miss objects easily. Silver key on the nightstand for example. When you do find the objects, the puzzles are possibly the easiest I have EVER seen. No challenge. I'm curious to know the story but it's overpriced for how little it offers. Despite other reviews it's not scary (no matter how easily frightened you may be) and the word lovecraftian exaggerates the quality of this game by a long shot. Thankfully it's try before you buy.
Thrilling story. Creepy atmosphere. Awesome sound & music. But also some issues: Sometimes the character animation hangs a bit. And – like some other players – sometimes a freezed black screen during transition of the rooms while the music continues (with Xiaomi Redmi Pro 3/32 GB and lots of space left). Unfortunately no updates anymore since more than 2 years. Season 2 works fine without such bugs.
H.P. Lovecraft would be proud of this gem of a title. The music and sound effects pull this game together. The graphics may be old school but it dosent detract from this wonderful unique experience one bit. A Very haunting and engaging story.
These people complaining about 2 measly dollars truly have no idea what it's like to work hard on anything. You even tell everyone that the first chapter is free, thus allowing us to sample it to see if we would enjoy it. Kudos to you sir for the way you are selling it. I'm getting the rest of the game and look forward to future games you make
Sound is glitching though like the background music. I felt disoriented when the game throws you into the unknown at the start but it appears to be part of its storytelling. The unknown is scary. The game slams it in your face all throughout.
This is a fantástic game with a very creepy vibe. The feeling of the game closely resembles a Poe or Lovecraftian story. A few jump scares in there too, which was impressive given the pixilated aspect of the game. I was hooked after the first episode and bought the remaining three. Worth it.
Not only too pixelated but also too dark. Like looking for a black cat in a dark room. Except that the cat is not there. I don't see why all the nostalgics of pixelated games are praising all the 'hard work'. This isn't hard work but lazy. The character always walks in an attempt to artificially make the game longer. The puzzles are trivial. And what kind of deranged mind came up with the cat puzzle. All this at a price larger than that of the masterpiece that is The Room.
Weird lag issues walking around sometimes, and some crash/hang bugs I started getting right at the end of the game. I was still able to finish it, and look forward to season 2.
I loved this. It was a great game with a chapter caring story and amazing art style it was a truly great horror game. It focuses much more on dark and creepy themes that jump scares and pure violence. I find that the 8 bit art style helps you to focus on the the story and excessive graphics would be pointless. Overall amazing and I've would play it over and over again.
The pixel art is that kind of blocky that creeps the hell out of me. I don't know if it's only me but the controls don't work particularly well too. Plus I think that game would be too depressing for me. Meh.
I despise the current trend of "retro old school pixelated 8 bit" that seems to pollute all online game stores. After all, I didn't buy a Playstation 4 to play hundreds of subpar NES remakes! That said, the graphical style of this game almost made me pass it by. But since I'm a sucker for point and click adventure games I gave it a go. Clean gameplay mechanics, excellent audio ambiance and a story that find its roots in early masters of horror like Lovecraft and Poe made it more than worthwhile! Thank you and bring us part 2...
A Lovecraftian horror game with great tension and atmosphere. 1st episode's free then ONE payment for the ALL rest of the season and extras (You are NOT charged each episode.) There us a 2nd season coming too. If you like adventure games and cosmic terror this is highly recommended.
Can't tell what anything is! Maybe if my screen was smaller? I thought i was still in the part of the game where they were explaining the premise and it would get better. Nope, i was actually "playing" the game. Really hoped to like it. Oh well.
Don't read the stupid bad comments saying that this sucks because is not for free. They think developers are here to serve them for free. This is an awesome game and well done. The graphics are retro, but it has a good story.
I liked the game play and storyline but polishing the graphics would have been nice. People keep comparing the graphics to 8 bit but they are far worse. The lack of decent graphics was my deciding factor in not purchasing the entire game after getting through the free part.
Though I feel hesitant to purchase the whole game as I feel it's a short game for its price. If only I'm assured that future content will be added without additional payment, I would consider buying the whole game. Nonetheless, a must try game!
It has a solid story, doesnt back off when there is something that could offend some people (the first scene, especially), has a nice retro 8-bit style and great music, but... I would have liked a 16:9 mode, even the image would stretch out a little. The black bars are quite akward, imo, but they fit with the retro style, because back then there was no 16:9.
Expected a so so game when I saw the old time graphics but omg...amazing. Play with headphones and in the dark...this was awesome! Not too simple, yet not frustratingly difficult. Truly wicked. One question...where is season two????
I loved this game till I found the developer trys to rip people off. Don't make one episide free and charge for the rest... like a drug dealer the first tastes free but after that you have to pay
Very mysterious, and filled with E. A. Poe references. There is a problem I am having when I put the crow In the bowl I don't hear the cat noise. I watched a video walkthrough on YouTube and I did everything he did but I did not hear the cat noise that then leads to finding the knife, and so on... please help. Other than that great game but because of this I can no longer play because it is holding me back from continuing the game
Don't get me wrong, I understand they need to make a living. But four dollars a chapter is pretty excessive. Especially if the following chapters are as short as the first. Cheapen up the prices and I'd probably buy in.
This game is absolutely amazing. Eaxh episode gets progressivly scaryier than the last and the story line is very involving. I find myself wishing I could escape Devitt's fate. Even though the graphics are pixeled and it relys heavily on description, this game gives you a very good sense of dread and forboding, making the sudden panics even more paniced. If they add season two, my experience will be complete.
Pixelated games are the best! For those people saying this game's graphics sucks coz its pixelated coz its the creator's passion, not everyone makes a 3d game! Just respect his creation.
It realy fun filled with jump scares but for some reason the game closed down on me twice. Other than that it's grate, and when will season 2 come out I'm interested on continuing the story.
A really great adventure title reminiscent of the 90's. Story is great, atmosphere is awesome. First chapter is free and lasts a while. Overall a great playthrough for anyone who enjoyed the LucasArts or Sierra games back in the day. Has an alone in the dark feel to it.
Though I'm not the biggest fan of horror, The Last Door had just the right amount to keep me on my toes but not scare me off from continuing. There are a tasteful number of scenes that are bound to send shivers down your spine. I quite enjoyed the art style too; I'm fond of the retro pixelated graphics. Towards the end I felt like the navigation was a bit too slow paced for my liking. But my, that cliffhanger! The plot itself was mysterious and suspenseful, and leaves you with more questions than answers.
This adventure series is amazing but, firstly, dont call this a free game on the play store...its woefully misleading when the next chapters require payment. AND then worst off when you're finished with the four chapters the whole thing ends in a cliff hanger waiting for season 2 that cost 3-4 euros each chapter! Nothing about this is free! Id love to continue playing the next installments but im afraid of more cliff hangers and more money to continue, when will this end?

Great story, nice controls on touch devices & very good sound track & music. However it keeps freezing during room transitions (on my Moto X Play) so that I have to close & reload - music continues but screen stays black. Also, even for a pixel art fan... this is very hard to tell what things are. Needs to go up in res just a bit. Overall great work.
