Wow this was so much fun playing again, it was a game from my childhood which I did not get to play all the way through then. Thank you for letting me go back to the past, and sink wholly into this movie like adventure again! You have to also make the sequels! And this one needs to be sold to Hollywood to be made into film, even a film series including a prequel with the origin story of the ancestors. Amazing amazing thank you so much! Nobody does these kind of games anymore!

Icons and text during tutorial and general game play are a bit too small. Graphics in general are high quality as is attention to detail. The Anti Aliasing (AA) option could be reconsidered as is largely redundant now due to resolution, particularly for the devices meeting the requirenents to run the game satisfactorily. The narrator voice doesn't fit with the game's atmosphere and sounds synthetic. Nice and responsive. Good job overall!

I have played the original version of the game..I'm now26 still. Felt like reliving those nostalcil childhood days. I'ld suggest RPG gamers like me to try out ur hands on this epic of a game...waiting for more releases by them of this sort in the future :-))

Haven't played a game like this before (usually play straight ho games) so this was fun for me. I also had no preconceived ideas as never played the original. Despite the price as paying in South African Rands it was entertaining and challenging enough to see it through. Lag time the only irritant.

I played this game about 20yrs ago when it first came out. I still have the disc, but no cd-rom on my computer any more. Anyway, compared to the original one this one is cheesy. Gabriel sounded like a creapy dude instead of someone that I wanted to be. Also, the game skips a lot. Last, the game is too expensive for the quality that I am getting. Even the original version is better than this new version. Anyway, if you can improve the quality or lower the price then I will consider buying chapter 2 and etc..

I only just started the game, but from what I can tell its really good so far. But the main character, Gabriel what's his face, pisses me off. His voice and accent sounds really fake and annoying, plus he's such a sleazy perv. It's irritating. Would have five stars if he wasn't such a dick.

Game was interesting but very slow, bad voice on main character, long winded to get to clues. Not able to purchase full game have to buy episodes. Unbelievable cheek. Never come across this before. Obvious why you do not allow full purchase as would be too expensive. You want to try and hook people after day 1. Not worked, will uninstall. Have played better games for less money. Shame on you.

As soon as I do anything, the game just freezes, e.g. I pick up the newspaper in the bookstore and gabriel just reads it forever. Or talking to grace and asking about voodoo twice. Rediculous.

The only thing I disliked was not letting us know that you have to pay per day ! Thought I had gotten the whole game! Love Gabe but not worth that much and feel ripped off! Ill just put the game on my computer...still have it thank goodness.....

I have no problem with paid games, I understand developers need to make money, etc. What I have a problem with is that they literally do not say anywhere that it's a trial. The game seemed decent but I won't get a game from developers that won't be upfront about costs

Cant get the stupid mime artist to folllow me long enough to get to the policeman. cant run so cant get there before he follows someone else tried for ages. Its so irritating. Hated it

I loved this game back in the day and felt like giving it a try on my smartphone. Great job! My only dislike is how much it all costs once you buy each package/days. Other than that, TOTALLY WORTH IT! P.S. I miss the old GK voice, not for sure if this one was different but it seemed like it to me. (I didn't do my research, just a hunch)

You would expect to be able to play a little longer for free before to be compelled to buy the game...This is ridiculous. Just tell people the truth and don't say it's free. I might have bought it. Signed: a former fan of GK.

I loved the original and this new version doesn't disappoint. Expensive for a mobile game but worth it in my opinion if you're a fan of the original. I hope to be able to play the sequels too.

3 bucks for every few chapters it a bit much. Broken sword games are 6 for the whole thing.

I'm a long time Gabriel Knight fan but this really disappointed me, especially being an "anniversary edition". The graphics looked great (on my tablet) but I couldn't even do basic game functions, like looking at the newspaper right at the very beginning of the game without it freezing. Only way to get it going again was to quit & restart the game, to find it hung with all the same actions. The developers really need to do some major tweaking & further optimisation. As is, the game is unplayable. Very sad for such a well established quality game series.

Was excited to find this on Play Store but was disappointed by the pricing. Great visual update but the voice acting was a bit of a let down... I miss Tim Curry as Gabriel!

I've loved the Gabriel Knight series since the early days. While it feels odd to play a "point n click" adventure game on my phone, it is a very much welcome addition to my library of games. Day 1 is free so you definitely should try it out. Robert Holmes does an amazing job with the music and Jane Jensen is a one of a kind story teller.

Nostalgic. Game has issue with black artifacting when models go behind backdrop. Weird black artifacting reveals models making interactive objects easy to see which probably makes game unintentionally easier.

Please tell me this game isn't over $12-$15!!!!! So far, looks like $2.99 for days 2 & 3, then $3.99 for days 4 & 5, $3.99 for days 5 & 6 THEN $3.99 for 7 - 10!!!! I don't even know if that's right or all???? Good game but NOT WORTH THAT!!!!

We can ADD! If $11 was too much to charge up front, that means the price is too high, not that it needs to be hidden by charging for each day. Although high for an Android port, I'd still have paid it. The current structure just insults long-time fans.

I never played the original but this remake seemed to do justice to what seems like a fantastic old franchise. I loved the voice acting, puzzles, and additional content. Minor bugs are my only issue. The most annoying being 1. Frustratingly trying to get the screen to recognize your touch when trying to save the game and 2. Having all menus (items, journal, etc.) disappear after manually saving, usually prompting a restart. Still, very well done and I hope there's more in store for the series.

Very nice anniversary edition. Great hint system. Atmospheric gameplay. Bit expensive though. Five for the lot in this format would be enough. Now The Beast Within please!

This is my type of game, unfortunately I haven't been given the opportunity to test it, as it does not load. Shame, since I like the concept, and the graphics look brilliant.

The game itself is very interesting with good graphic and plot. BUT!!! Make the ability to save games to some cloud. Maybe google play games (automatically). Or to export and import them from some cloud (manual approach). After I've changed firmware on my device I've lost all progress. I'm sure that you will agree with me that this is unacceptable this days, when we have steam, dropbox and etc. PS I've found the folder with save games and I know that I can probably use apps lie foldersync that can sync it for me with a cloud of my choice, but for one thing It can only do that periodically, so I still can loose some progress. It would be nice if you would implement cloud feature inside of a game.

I love it! As others have pointed out, the pricing is a little much. Maybe $2 per couple of days. Its about $12 for the whole game but really im not too upset because the game is really fun and I believe im getting my moneys worth. I'd really be comfortable with half that at about $6. But aside from that this is a great game that's keeping me interested as I get bored super easy with games. Ive been engaged the whole time. I love retro detective type point & click games and thats exactly what this is. Great Series!!!

Wonderful remake of one of my favourite games. Pleasure to play all over again, plus it runs smoother and faster then the original ever did. Love the little extra's like the comparison with the original, the storyboards, the extra screens, the journal and hint syatem. Just can't wait for the rest of the series. I must admit it IS expensive for an app, but definitely worth it. And If you really take everything or of the game, you get hours and hours and hours of game play.

You mean to tell me that my favorite adventure game of all time is being re-released. Sign me up! Here's hoping that the same treatment is given to Beast Within and Blood Of The Sacred, Blood Of The Damned.

Maybe it's just nostalgia, but I'm loving this game. I loved it when it first came out over 20 years ago. I still love it. Does it have some flaws? Absolutely. Has it aged well? Not particularly, at least in the gameplay department. However, the story is still top notch and engrossing. I feel like I'm reliving my childhood. I highly recommend it to anyone who has played the original.

This was a great game, but I don't think I can play it all the way thru with the sluggish performance (cant handle waiting or few seconds every time i look at a hotspot) high current drain. Then the cost. Can't justify playing.

It definitely has its fair share of bugs. Nothing too major but still worth mentioning.

Yesterday, and the Broken Sword. It took some practice to master all the controls. Sometimes I attempted to tap on other parts of the scene and had expected the character to move, it didn't. And sometimes it did. I hated Gabriel's voiceover to a point where I'd to lower the volume setting to the minimum. I felt that, forcing players to read all the (very long)credits at the beginning was a bit pompous. Let the players be the judge, if it is indeed a good game, we will seek out the credits.

Cant finish day 2 as I can't ask Grace to research the old lady from the gift shop. Any way to fix this?

I had a lot of fun with this game. Would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of point and click serria games. The total price was a little higher than I like for phone games, but I also understand where it came from. Hello fully voice acted dialogs and hd remastered art department. Biggest issue was it CHEWED through my tablet's battery even when it was plugged in.
