ClassicBoy (Emulator)

Honestly one of the better emulators. Playing original starcraft for N64 takes me back. Not many other n64 games can be played as there are so many buttons for the controller that dumbing it down to touch screen is incredibly uncomfortable, however mario kart works well. Super smash bros not so much. Perfect dark not so much, golden eye, Turok etc all hard to play due to z button and looking etc.

Emulator runs rom wonderfully. The controls could be tweaked a little a better analog stick for the ps1. It moves the characters at a walking speed. I can't find any settings for sensitivity of the joystick. The joystick is essentially the same as the pad just round. If update joystick(or reply and tell me how to make the joystick work dual speed like a normal controller exe. Pushing up a Lil on joystick walk past up a lot run) I'd gladly give five stars. It did work well enough for me to purchase the full version however I'd still like the joystick fixed.

Some of the game would be cool if you can speed it up and I've seen another software do it. I play pokemon on speed x 4 and it runs good. I'd like to see classic boy do the same. Also to play games like resident evil witch I installed I need r1 and l1 button to point the gun then shoot but this is not possible unless multi touch function available. Please update this. Your 5 star either way.

Can't play ps1 roms. Slight graphic and audio glitches on N64, still playable. Nes, snes and genisis play fine. Haven't tried the rest. Considering paying the $4 so I can catch up and finish Zelda's Majora's mask from years ago. Also considering getting a compatible bluetooth gamepad for better control.

Why is there no setting for recalibrating the sensor/accelerometer? I have to hold the phone for neutral and I would like to change that so I can hold the phone in landscape mode tilting slightly forward, Back, left and right. Currently I would have to hold the phone flat, as in level with the floor as neutral. That does not work. Please get back to me when you get a chance. Also any work being done on Google cardboard/side by side display. FPSE and PPSSPP both have Google Cardboard support/side by side.

This is a great emulator, but it needs a joy stick function under the d-pad, so that when we slide our finger off we dont stop moving. It is very hard to control characters when you constantly stop moving. (Final Fantasy ix is the game im currently playing while having this issue).

This is BY FAR the best emulator for PlayStation!!! ZERO lag. When I play Spyro: Year of the Dragon on ePSXe it lags every time you go up to talk to a character and rather frequently during gameplay. But I play it on here and it plays very smoothly! Only problems with this emulator are the buttons (I like the ePSXe buttons much better) and it's missing a BIOS startup before the game. PLEASE add that! I LOVE to hear that classic startup PlayStation music!!

I've tried many different emulators on Android and this one is the best. Mainly because it has incredible customization for the controls. You can move them anywhere you want on the screen. The gesture controls or really fun and make games feel like they were made for touch screen. I love being able to swipe left and right to swing Link's sword. Only thing I would ask you to add is a fast forward button, it would be nice for certain games. Wondering why there is no Snes emulator? Is that something you plan to add eventually?

If you guys need the snes emulator. What i did was look for updates and installed the snes emulator. Plays all my games fine. So excited! I did buy the emulator though. Not sure if that opened it up but i am now allowed to save and start right where i left off with any game i choose. So cool! Thank you so much developer. Extremely worth the buy and my childhood is relived again! Thanks so much seriously.

I tried numerous emulators trying to get spyro running, but none would work. Then I found ClassicBoy, it ran spyro at full speed with no audio lag, it was difficult to control with the on screen controls, but I don't have a controller yet. I would definitely recommend ClassicBoy to anyone looking to emulate their old favorites.

By far, this is one of the best emulators on the Android market. You don't have to be a genius to figure out how to extract files. Thanks so much people for making this app. I can now play all of my childhood classic games. Would be nice if next update could have x-box

Great app with a lot of emulated consoles. The only down side is that the app doesn't seem to work well with my Moga Power Pro controller. I've only tested the PlayStation emulator so far but the l2 and r2 buttons do not work. If anyone has any instructions on how to do this I would love to hear them.

Been using this app on different android smartphones and I can definitely say that the quality of the gaming experience will vary depending on the quality of your phone. This app has always worked pretty good for me and played all the ROMs I downloaded for it. The app definitely shines on 4G phones. I was really impressed on how well this app plays N64 and PlayStation ROMs. The only problem I have with this emulator is the touchscreen controls. They don't always work well on some games.

I have only tried the psx emulator with FF VII, everything works (out of the box) and I mean EVERYTHING, more I play the game and more I am amazed by how this app emulates the psx's version. The free version of Classic Boy (Emulator)'s PCSX-reARMed plugin uses HLE BIOS emulation relative to SCPH-1001 BIOS, can run PSX .eboot video game file types for PSX & PSOne video games. Snes9x+ runs slightly faster on Classic Boy than the actual Snes9x+. That alone makes Classic Boy a worthy install.

So far this is the best all in one emu out there. I have tried most all and the others lag or just won't start at all. I live to be able to play all my favs from my childhood . Awesome just keep up and please update the app I purchased make voice and visual connect better and not skip so much. Other than that PERFECT ! ! Thank you

It works awesomely. I love how accurately the emulator works. Everything just does. Im getting a new phone tomorrow, so ill see if the major audio bug is still there. Cant turn audio down at all, its stuck at 60 percent phone volume, even when the phone is muted. Causes some horrible reverb effect. Reverb is turned off. Hopefully the lg fares audio better. Append when i find out. Thank you, this is so awesome.

Works great! Still love it! I don't understand ANY bad reviews of this app. I've been using it awhile now. Not one problem with the hundreds of games I've downloaded and played! Its nice having everything in one place instead spread across five different apps. Quick, easy, and not overly flashy. If you're having problems, try a different ROM source. Not all are equal!

I tried this out to see if I liked it, worked great at first so I decided to go pro. As soon as I upgraded the app half the roms that had worked before stopped even though they work fine on a different app. The developers website has no contact link, does any one know how I go about getting a refund for this

I bought this with the sole intention of using it for PS1 games but I ended up using practically all the systems it offers. It works great and I get a decent frame rate with most games. I'd pretty much give it a 5/5 with what it already has but I can't get an Xbox controller to work with this. I have a wired controller and an otg cable but it still won't work. This gets fixed and it would be perfect.

I have a Galaxy S5 and have plenty of experience with Emulators. My first issue was finding one that would run FFIX. After decompressing my .bin file I tried fpse and psx4droid. Literally download 3 copies of this game and 2 different versions of each emulator. Downloaded this Emulator and game started right up with no problem, no additional BIOS files required, and no audio lag. Good job Classic Boy Emu designers. You give some of us hope that programers are not all lazy. 5 STARS!

PAID: I love this app. Moga controller works very well with it. How can I make the on screen buttons less visable or take them off screen all together? Is there any way you could add more emulators? Maybe a DS, Game Cube, saturn? Will pay extra and buy on all my devices.

The PlayStation emulator won't allow me to press either joystick in as a button for games like ape escape. The joysticks only are used for movement and to view around you. Tried mapping L3 and R3 to my controller which is impossible for there are no such options for mapping the two. Other than that this App is great.

Very good the best free emulator for PlayStation 1 roms. No save but you can pay in app for that if you want it. Got to add the Neo Geo player didn't work for me however it could be the roms that I downloaded. And the Super Nintendo plug in don't work, it couldn't run game roms that I know are working. However I still give it 5 stars because it free and it works for what I want.

Press on cloud button to get SNES. Bought the premium version (I use emulators on my computer. I know a little about emulation), and I was wondering, since emulators can't read RAR files, could you perhaps put a file identifier/converter in it for it to change RAR files into ISO? It would help greatly in your ratings and popularity. I can do it through my computer, but I want it all on my phone. I would pay another $1 for that feature would make less work...simplicity is key. A new UI would be nice! Thanks.

Ever since i payed for the full version, I've been nothing but satisfied. If you know what you are doing in regards to properly downloading your games and configuring button layouts, there isn't much if anything wrong with this app. Very happy with it, and i hope the creator of classic boy keeps doing there thing.

I bought it because of the save feature, but it didn't work for me. So far the paid for version is just as good as the free. I was playing final fantasy 9 and unless I'm missing something I can't save any thing. Even using the save points, which really really sucks. Please explain if I'm doing something wrong or fox this issue.

Love this emulator. So happy it has so many plugins so I don't have to have a lot of separate emulators. Only thing that would improve this would be maybe a speedup function. P.S Weird issue,Almost all games work with the Standard Gamepad setting but a lot don't work with Dualshock.

I've had it downloaded for probably over a year now, bought the full version and all. It worked great! Never had any issues with it. However, I haven't used it in a while, and when I resumed playing my 2 games, the sound won't work for either anymore. I emailed asking for help, but haven't gotten a response.

Really great app! Got to play PaRappa the Rapper, Spyro the Dragon 2 and Metal Gear Solid. It's great I can play these games without buying the full version of the app. But sadly I can't quick save without the full version but that's what makes the game harder! I like a challenge!

This is a very good emulator really the jack.of all trades. Most of the mainstream games run perrect, except when.neo geo or n64 games r emulated. So i would recommend it. One question though, i selected the mouse option for psx emulation and the game detects it, but i cant seem.to map an emulated mouse. How can.i do that?

I'm not even kidding. I try tons of different emulators before this and this is the best. <3 All the other ones glitched up when getting to the 3rd line when someone talked in Bango and Kazooie and this one didn't! The only problem I have is the audio but I don't reallly need it. Thank you for this wonderful app!

ive used classicboy for a year now on my S5. i've never had any issues. plays all my roms on all platforms in one app. customisation is top-notch. one of the only apps ive ever paid for. auto-save feature on app minimize or exit has saved time and frustration. thanks dev!

B4 I start, I want to say ty to all the people who worked on this app it allows me to enjoy my childhood again and try again it means a lot, I really enjoy the app and thanks for bringing back a piece of my past. Please work on the cheats BC when you use the color Pokemon and Male Pokemon cheats on gold and silver they glitch.

To get any use of the Save-states you have to pay for the full version. You shouldn't have pay for basic functions like that. I lost all of my progress because I accidentally closed the emulator. That's not mentioning the fact that I could only get 1 game to work properly without it crashing. This is a poor emulator and a rip off, don't waste your time.

Everything works apart from neo geo (something about the bios) and you can't resume from games or use save states unless you buy the full version. And the SNES emulator needs to be installed separately (for free) and N64 is not very well emulated.

Seems great, loaded games perfect but my Bluetooth controller (that works perfectly with Nesoid, Snesoid, n64oid, FPse, Drastic Emulator) so it's not the controller.. For some reason it let's me map all of them but when trying to play a game the ONLY buttons that work are the directional pad and the analog stick... No start button, triggers, any action buttons, nothing.... It's driving me insane.

There's too much that can go wrong, that more explanation would fix. I can play Mega Man Legends, but not Misadventures of Tron Bonne. WHY?

Every time that I'm offline I can't save the game or resume game. It locks and tells me to purchase the full version of which I already have please help

I payed for full version and when I went back to resume, it stayed black and never loaded my game again I was forced to restart from last load point now the touch buttons don't work and I am NOT going to restart from older point to see if that fixes it wtf?! Fix it now! I payed for full version!!!! Not my phone, it's brand new and only other app I have is facebook..
